Geno injured, IK cut, Amish Rifle starting - http://nyjetsfan.com...showtopic=38773
Smedsthejet Icon : (30 August 2015 - 11:10 AM) Jets just announced first 12 players to be released:
Smedsthejet Icon : (30 August 2015 - 11:10 AM) T. J. Graham, Saalim Hakim, Austin Hill, DeVier Posey, Jonathon Rumph (WRs), Matt LaCosse (TE), James Brewer, Dalton Freeman (OL), Bryan Johnson (LB), Javier Arenas, Curtis Brown, Keith Lewis (DBs)
Smedsthejet Icon : (30 August 2015 - 11:11 AM) A little surprised that Posey is gone in this first batch of moves, but then we did have a glut of WRs
ganggreen2003 Icon : (30 August 2015 - 07:50 PM) Any word on Leonard Williams injury?
azjetfan Icon : (30 August 2015 - 11:49 PM) He will be ready week 1. Just a sprain
Jetsfan115 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 10:33 AM) so we whooped the giants ass pretty badly
Jetsfan115 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 10:38 AM) bills cut fred jackson
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 12:29 PM) We got lucky with Williams
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 12:30 PM) Hes looked like a beast as well, so we need him healthy. Hes gonna be a future all pro
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 12:31 PM) Our offense can be competent this season
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 12:33 PM) Zac Stacy was a good add
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 01:46 PM) I'm surprised Freeman was cut, I thought he was a solid backup center. Guess they like Wesley Johnson better
Jetsfan115 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 01:58 PM) our offense is passable. we should put up 14-17 a game average
Jetsfan115 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 01:58 PM) should be enough for our Defense. our d-line is nasty with wilk, rich, snacks, and now williams
Jetsfan115 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 01:59 PM) out MLBs get picked on in coverage though. davis had a rough game
Jetsfan115 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 01:59 PM) our Cbs are way too good. cro revis and skrine. plus mcdougle looked solid. when milliner comes back, him being a dime back could be huge too
Jetsman05 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 02:24 PM) 17 points a game is "passable"? If we average 17 a game this season, we won't win more than 5 ball games.
Jetsman05 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 02:24 PM) Needs to be 20+
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 05:33 PM) Our offense should be better than its been in years
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (31 August 2015 - 05:34 PM) which wouldn't take much
Jetsfan115 Icon : (01 September 2015 - 12:03 PM) another ex jet going to the pats http://theredzone.or...ms/Default.aspx
Jetsfan115 Icon : (01 September 2015 - 12:04 PM) our defense should allow an average of less then 14 a game IMO. If we can average 17 a agme I think we can win 9-10
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (01 September 2015 - 12:25 PM) Jace Amaro was put on IR, torn labrum.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (01 September 2015 - 12:26 PM) That sucks, I was looking forward to him at TE
ROBJETS Icon : (01 September 2015 - 07:24 PM) Labrum tear....definitely out for the year. Its not a bad surgery. I used the sling for about a week before I ditched it completely. Supposed to use it for a full 6 weeks. You can get away without it but just have to be careful not raising or moving your arm much and no lifting of pretty much anything. As far as fully healing ....6 mon ths minimum but for lifting heavy and full contact sports I wouldnt trust 6 months
ROBJETS Icon : (01 September 2015 - 07:31 PM) Still not that bad of a surgery on a pain scale. after a few days it mostly just aches like hell. ice and keeping your arm still is important. sleeping is major hard for the first 3 weeks or so. You wake up in pain a god bit. Id be dreaming and jerk my right arm up or move it wrong or lay on it wrong and wake up in major pain. still I liked t better without the sling than being completely immobile with one arm and healed just fine. He will come back from it fine
ganggreen2003 Icon : (01 September 2015 - 08:37 PM) sucks we lost Amaro for the season
santana Icon : (02 September 2015 - 09:34 AM) http://sport.woot.co...ef=gh_sp_6_wp_3
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:47 AM) No suspension for Brady, what a joke
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:26 PM) I don't think it is a joke but f*** him.
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:15 PM) f*** new england
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:15 PM) he still was behind the balls being deflated
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:16 PM) he authorized those 2 employees to do that to the footballs
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:16 PM) he is a diva so f*** that classless organization
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:21 PM) it's especially sickening living in the middle of CHEATriot country and listening to these assclowns up here make excuses for their POS QB
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:21 PM) and that classless organization
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 05:13 PM) who's watching this game tonight?
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:09 PM) INT and then he fumbles it away
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:09 PM) f***ing Walls

ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:45 PM) TOUCHDOWN NEW YORK JETS!!!!
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:45 PM) 14-3

CC Sabathia... 4.1 innings pitched. 8 hits, 6 earned runs 0 Ks. I'm sure his 300lbs will do better under the July sun.

PS Is AJ Burnett on DL yet or do we have to wait a week?

Its one start dude, CC was all over the place today. His command was off and his stuff just wasn't right. He'll be fine. And Burnett may very well be on the DL eventually, but he'll have a couple of starts first. He usually pitches around 25 games a year.

I don't think the Yankees have what it takes to catch the Devil Rays for the 2nd spot in that division. You think Girardi is going to be fired if they miss the playoffs again?

If they miss the playoffs, yes he will be fired.

I want to see the Rays repeat what they did last year, so many times have teams with no expectations come out and surprise. Then the next season with expectations they suck.

I think the Rays will be good. I think the Yankees will miss the playoffs and get in a bidding war over whoever the Rays are willing to sell, ala Florida Marlins... funny how that worked out right? The Sox got Beckett and the Yanks got Pavano.

Your a Mets fan right? You really like hating on the Yankees, they must of done some things right in their past. Mets are always going to be the side story in NY, the Yanks will always be the main team. Even the New Yankees stadium from a outside viewer was better than Citi Field. (First take did a comparison today)

I like how Yankee fans always bring up their rich storied history. Too bad you can't have Lou Gherig, Marris & The Guido playing for you again. As far as architecture goes, I leave that to the Yankee fans who go to games to watch Jeter in his tight pants.

Daniel Murphy is a beast. I want to see them move him to second and bring up Martinez to play Left. If Martinez is as good as advertised, we have the best, young, core in all of MLB.

Well its pretty pathetic that a Mets fan is talking shit about the Yankees. The Mets have 2 WS in their existence, their last was in the 80s. The Yankees have 26 WS rings, and 2000 was their recent. They also are the most recent dynasty team. You can try and act like the Mets are this better run organization/franchise, but you'll only kid yourself. I'm a fan of one of the dwellers in NY, the Jets. I don't try and act like their a better run organization than the Giants. Because they clearly aren't with them having 3 SB rings compared to our 1, and they just won one pretty recently. They win one every decade it seems. Kind of like the Yankees have won at least 2 WS every decade since the 20s.

The difference between the Yankees and the Giants is that the Yankees used to outspend everyone and just buy talent. When the Red Sox started competing with them in terms of money spent on talent, the Yankees started buying the Carl Pavanos. If you think the Yankees have a noble tradition, you're fooling yourself. For a while they were just the kid with the richest daddy so they got all the pretty girls. Now everyone plays in that pond, and they got a fat bitch who can't go 5 innings.

There's 161 more games to go...so it's whatever. I love how Mets fans are so quick to pop shit about the Yankees but we see no Yankees fans here popping shit at all about the Mets. The good ol' inferiority complex rears its head again.

No, the Yankees had a massive spending spree after the 2001 WS where they lost. George Steinbrenner started back up again. During the 90s dynasty the Yankees had a nice farm system ,they had developed young talents like Jeter, Posada, Bernie, Mo, Pettitte and more. They had made the right trades and signings also.

So I guess because the Yankees have the most money they shouldn't spend any? Your just jealous of them, thats all it it true jealousy. They have a winning tradition and your team doesn't, thats all it is. You have to try and cover it up by saying they bought their championships like a sore loser.

I've been a Rays fan since the beginning of the organization, and had season tickets through the baaaaaad years. This team is FUN to watch, and they are young. They play excellent D (and Longoria around the whole year helps the D and O).

They should be able to compete if we can get what we did last year out of the backend of the bullpen. Hopefully Balfour/Howell have nice seasons again, even if Percival gets hurt.

By the way, CC is a normal slow starter. Wait until summer and you will see the real CC.

The Rays do have a lot of young talent. I just want to see them do what they did last year again, I'm not sure if they will. Last year they didn't have any injuries to their rotation besides Kazmir missing the first few weeks, this year they may not be that lucky.

The AL east will definitely be a battle all season between the Rays, Red Sox, and Yankees.

Guys, who are you kidding? Everyone knows the Mets and Yankees are both sh*t and that the Indians are by far the team to beat in the MLB this year.
Sure they lost 9-1 to the Rangers yesterday, but they're going to go all the way with Carl Pavano and
Kerry Wood bound to stay healthy for at least the first month of the season. Coupled with Travis Hafner, the team is set to once again have one of the best DLs in the league! Not to worry though, Jonny 'Strike 3' Peralta will once again carry the team!

Who am I kidding....we've got some of the best young talent in the league, but again there are a number of question marks (back end of the rotation, bullpen and in the outfield apart from Sizemore).

I get a kick out of the Yankee fans on this board that brag and boast about their team's winning tradition and blah, blah blah.....

......if you really feel that way maybe you should be Giants fans instead of Jets fans?

I get a kick out of Mets fans talking shit about the Yankees while they were the laughing stock of all of baseball the last 2 years choking out of the playoffs.
Also when Mets fans act like the Yankees buy their team but they are a home grown team, even though the Mets buy players also. Just the Yankees have more money to spend.

The Mets should worry more about the Phillies then the Yankees, as you only see the Yankees 6 times a year.

Get out of here with that. Mets clowns are the only ones with the audacity to start a thread like this after one day of the season. And probably after a week, and probably after a month. Only after they start their routine early August collapse will they stop running their mouths.
