First Day Of School
#1

Today was my first day of school. Nothing too eventful yet. My school instituted a new policy where if you are seen with a cell phone out anytime during the school day a teacher just has the right to take it away. That caused some uproar.
Lunch was chaotic and as usual I have some good and some bad classes right now.

*Sigh*
I remember when my school told me, two years ago that if were seen with the phones, we get them taken away, same thing happened too. We do not listen to them though. I always have my phone out while I am in school, and the teachers do not give a damn. These people are just delusional.

we have the cell phone thing, but only about half of the teachers enforce it....this year theyre trying a new thing where all kids have to have their school IDs on their necks visible at all times. we dont know whether theyre serious about it and it wont start until october, but its a bunch of bullshit....

They told us to do that my 10th grade year, and guess what I did not listen to them of course. Schools these days are just bullshitting...

Yeah, her, man, she sounds terrible, too bad you have to end the day with her. I mean, write and memorize, and spell 1000 Spanish words? That's just horrible.
Damn, I'm glad I got the French teacher I got, say bonjour in the halls and you get an extra credit point. Gee, and this is my fifth year in French, I've got a 2 year headstart on everyone.
But wait, speaking of first day, anybody do anything crazy on their first day? My first official day I did nothing, but when I moved here, when my Mom was grabbing the papers from the car, me and my bro ran into the woods for like 30 minutes and were dgragged to our classes. We each had different grades so when I went to mine first, he ran away again.
But my first day of 7th grade was August 24, and it's gonna be boring. But I'm writing an essay that'll probably turn out to be 10 or so pages on the Jets.

Yeah, the cell phone thing is the new hot button policy at my school so I'm expecting that it will eventually cool down and some teachers won't care. At this point though if a teacher sees it they have to take it away from you and if you don't give it to them you're treated as a subordinate...lol. But I mean thinking about it if I really need to use my phone and like call my mom to tell her I have to stay after school then I'm just going to go to the bathroom and make the call there. I mean they can't take a phone away from you if you're in a bathroom stall.
At my school they instituted the ID thing last year. Like we've always had IDs but they had never had any purpose. But last year the policy STARTED as having to have your ID visible at all times around your neck. But it eventually turned it to just showing your ID card when you went into the cafeteria so that kids wouldn't be able to cut and go to a lunch period. It seems like administrators enforce things, at least at my school, difficultly for max a month and then a policy either A) goes down the drain or B) is severly minimized.
Like last year we had this new Big 5 code of rules (it was like kindergarten things) that they went nuts about talking about in every class and now I haven't heard one thing about it this year.
