ROBJETS Icon : (14 September 2014 - 07:27 PM) Problem is the corners. We knew this before the start of the season. I was amazed at how well they did last week and the first half but eventually the weakness showed
ROBJETS Icon : (14 September 2014 - 07:28 PM) The corner positions will be addressed next year. Technically we are still in a rebuilding phase.
ganggreen2003 Icon : (14 September 2014 - 07:39 PM) we did go toe to toe against a SB contender and we really shouldn't be heartbroken but if you call yourself a JETS fan and aren't a little pissed over a W that we had in our control then you need to go and hand in your JETS gear ... I'm looking at you 115

ganggreen2003 Icon : (14 September 2014 - 09:13 PM) nice one handed catch by Marshall
MikeGangGree... Icon : (14 September 2014 - 10:06 PM) NFL rules state that only the head coach can call a timeout on the sidelines…

Except in Green Bay where anybody up to the third row can call a timeout.

As far as FA I think we sign either Justin Bannan or Dwan Edwards as both played for Rex.

From that list on the link I see 5 that we need to keep: Richardson, Feely, Edwards, Smith and Washington

Nah Brad Smith is a great role player on this team...he is the special teams everything god. He is a great gunner on coverage(probably the Jets best)...capable return man...and has been used to convert fake punts aswell. Not too mention he plays several roles on offense as well.

Obviously you don't pay too much for a guy like Brad Smith, but he is definitely worth keeping around at the right price because he can do so many different things.

If he's cheap then yeah why not keep him. just saying if we don't keep him it won't bother me much. we have better special teamers (wallace wright, marcus murrell) who are there mostly for there special teams ability and at WR he hasn't done enough to warrant more playing time. I'm either way on him. he's very easily replacable in my opinion.

Ya i was talking about Brad Smith, he's a great player on special teams, always involved in a tackle.

nah, he is an ILB and we have scott and harris already. we need a pass rushing LBer and Bullock doens't fit that bill. we need a merriman/ware type player. Thats what gholston was supposed to be for us when we drafted him but that hans't panned out

I'm not saying he's a world beater or anything remotely close...but I wouldn't call him easily replaceable. I do think he is our best special teams coverage guy, he is always involved in the tackles and really breaks down for the tackle and doesn't let the returner slip by. Plus, he is a good 5th WR and trick play threat.

Again, not saying he should be resigned at all costs but I definitely would like to see him back.
