@DWAZ73 : One other thing: Idzik now has landed arguably No. 1 QB, RB and WR in free agency this offseason despite deliberate approach. #Jets
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 02:43 PM) tanaka had a great game today. gave up 2 hits due to bunts. 10K
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 02:48 PM) Jordan was #34 with the Jets.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:03 PM) Tanaka is looking like a stud
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:04 PM) Jets added Vick, Chris Johnson, and Eric Decker to the offense.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:04 PM) FIRE IDZIK
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:04 PM) And this draft is loaded at the offensive skill positions
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:04 PM) Hopefully we can get anohter starting WR and starting TE in the draft
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:05 PM) Our offense could be much better than last year
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:05 PM) can't get much worse than what it's been the last 2 years
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 03:22 PM) Very cool
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:24 PM) FIRE IDZIK
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:32 PM) still need another WR
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:33 PM) so i bet powell barely gets any touches this year and goodson gets cut
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 03:34 PM) Goodson is as good as gone.
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 03:34 PM) With all his legal issues and coming off injury he is done. Possibly even in the NFL
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:39 PM) Powell is average anyways.
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 03:39 PM) @ProFootballTalk 5m

Per source, Chris Johnson's two-year deal has a base value of $8 million, with another $1 million available in incentives based on yardage.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:40 PM) He does a lot of things well, but isn't talented enough. Johnson has breakaway ability still and Ivory is man beast running the football
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:41 PM) We will get another WR in the draft. Even in round 2 you can get a starting WR
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 04:09 PM) I am still standing by my CB in the first round and WR in the second prediction
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 05:19 PM) The title race is bale
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 05:34 PM) Sidney rice coming in for a visit
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 05:49 PM) I think the Jets are getting themselves ready to draft best player available
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 05:49 PM) Last year they stuck to their board
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:27 PM) if they sign him I think that means they look to take a CB round 1
2JBallar01 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:32 PM) “@AdamSchefter: RB Chris Johnson's 2-year deal with Jets has a team option in it for year two. Jets have option to pick up year two at $4M in February 2015.”
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:51 PM) @AlbertBreer 2m
Sidney Rice has agreed to terms with the Seahawks on a one-year deal, per source.
Expand
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:55 PM) There is really only 2 CBs worth taking at 18
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:56 PM) I rather get a offensive playmaker
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:58 PM) LaMont Jordan was 34
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:59 PM) liar
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:05 PM) He wore #34 when he played for the JETS
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:05 PM) I should know I met him at an event in his last year with the JETS before he went to Oakland
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:05 PM) GFYS 0099 you shit talker
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:06 PM) http://www.nydailyne...entry-1.1758342
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:06 PM) there's no reason we can't have someone off this site on that list too
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 07:08 PM) Rice resigned with Seattle
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:08 PM) did you scare him into going to Oakland?

Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post reports a source close to Mark Brunell told The Post today that the veteran quarterback would very much like to sign with the Jets, but Brunell's hands are tied until Jason Taylor makes up his mind.

That's because the NFL's "Final Four" rule allows the Jets to sign an unrestricted free agent only if they lose one to another team, then at roughly the same first-year salary of the departing player.

In the Jets' case, they only have one such slot available at $1.5 million in the first year after losing kicker Jay Feely to the Cardinals. And that slot is reserved for Taylor, the league's active sack leader who reportedly is leaning toward signing with the Jets after a red-carpet recruiting trip earlier this week.

I think he is fair game (God that final 8 rule sucks)

Just another player on the list who want to be on the Jets. Everyone wants to play for Rexy, I'm glad he's our coach.

Even Jason Taylor wants to play for him. LMAO!

I thought that too, but on another Jets board someone showed that the wording made it appear as that but really these rules imply to final 4 players too.

But the Jets appear to not be signing Marques Douglas so if he signs somewhere the Jets would be able to sign Brunell.

So yes to a backup who will unlikely see the field (albeit his brain will be a bonus for Sanchez to pick apart) and no to someone who - although not held in high esteem by Jets fans - could make an impact for the defense?

Exactly that. He'll make an impact alright on defense by whiffing on tackles and making this organization look stupid for even considering this piece of trash.

Honestly.....please be honest.

Do all of you supporters of Taylor signing here really think he's going to play with the heart and determination that he played with for the Fins? I don't think so. This guy does NOT........I repeat DOES NOT even want to play for us. Why is that so hard for everyone to understand?

His agent practically FORCED him to even visit us. This piece of filth is using Rex's interest in him as nothing more than a bargaining chip with the Fins. His agent had to put it in his head that he's not guaranteed a spot anywhere and the Fins that he LOVES so much have even told him they wont even consider him until after the draft. If he doesn't sign with us by the end of this week, it wont happen at all because he'll be home in Florida with the Fins and then a bunch of Jets fans are going to look at themselves in the mirror and ask "Why did I want him again?"

Too many people are acting like this guy is God's gift. If he was that hot a commodity, why then is he receiving ZERO interest from other teams in need of a pass rush?

I think you're forgetting the x-factor here, and that is the fact that at the end of the day these players want to secure their legacy. And what better way then to win a Super Bowl? Players will put aside their pride, need for personal wealth, and faith in other organizations to sign with teams that are Super Bowl bound. You'll see that very thing happen this summer if Cleveland doesn't win the NBA championship. You think Lebron won't sign in the East, or take a pay cut to sign with another top flight FA on the same team? Your damn right he will, championships are the almighty goal. And i for one will welcome Taylor with open arms, because i too am in it for the almighty goal.
"I thought he was good?!? If he prays when he scores. Everyone knew him for praying. That only can mean he scores :)"

Quote from my wife when I told her I liked Tebow, but that he sucks as a QB

Yes, absolutely. Taylor is one of the best to every play his position (admit it...) and he is obviously a serious competitor. He is in the final years of his hall of fame career and presumably cares about a superbowl over all else, including a stupid grudge against a team that has changed almost its entire personnel over the last few years. If he signs with the Jets it will be to win a championship here. If not why wouldn't he go somewhere else? He can obviously get more than $1.5 million in an uncapped year. Only a psychopath would give up millions to dog a team that they hate. Taylor may be a dick, but he's no psychopath...

Really? Where else can he go? Did you miss the fact that NO ONE other than the Jets have any interest in him other than in Miami? His whole visit to the Jets was a ploy to push Miami into offering him something. Did you notice that their stance of doing nothing with him until after the draft changed to Miami's coach meeting with him this week?

Open your eyes people!! Taylor may be a talented player but he DOES NOT want to be here. Why are you all saying he is expressing interest in us? HIS AGENT is interested in the Jets. Rex Ryan is interested in Jason Taylor. Jason Taylor was reluctant to even visit Florham Park. Where has he EVER even ONCE said he's interested in playing here that would get you excited to have him here? Show me ONE SINGLE quote from a reputable source saying he would bleed green and white or actually WANT to be here and then maybe I'll look at him differently. Until you can do that, he's still a piece of $hit.

He's not going to say he wants to be here just because of the risk if he doesn't sign here and ends up back in Miami... It makes sense to me.
