Jetsfan115 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 03:33 PM) so i bet powell barely gets any touches this year and goodson gets cut
azjetfan Icon : (16 April 2014 - 03:34 PM) Goodson is as good as gone.
azjetfan Icon : (16 April 2014 - 03:34 PM) With all his legal issues and coming off injury he is done. Possibly even in the NFL

The Houston Texans' defense took a major blow Friday when defensive rookie of the year Brian Cushing learned he is being suspended four games for violating the NFL's steroid policy, according to league sources.

Cushing appealed the league's decision at a hearing at the NFL scouting combine in February but was informed Friday his appeal had been rejected, according to sources.

Cushing will be allowed to participate in training camp with the Texans this summer, but then will serve his four game suspension to start the 2010 regular season.

Cushing's attorney, Harvey Steinberg, did not return telephone calls seeking comment.

The Texans defense will suffer without Cushing, especially considering that its first game of the season is against the defending AFC South champion Indianapolis Colts. Cushing will also miss games against the Washington Redskins, Dallas Cowboys and Oakland Raiders.

Cushing, who was voted to the Pro Bowl, had 133 tackles, helped lead the Texans to a 9-7 record, their first winning season in franchise history. Cushing finished the season with five sacks, four interceptions and two forced fumbles.

Kind of not surprised by this news. He was suspected of being on roids while at USC. Still wish he was on the Jets though. I think he'd be amazing under a coach like Rex Ryan. But if I were Clay Matthews I'd be a little concerned right now.

Yeah Clay Matthews probably a roider as well, both were rumored to be right? Matthews looks like a roider just like Cushing did. Big loss for the Texans, he was their best defensive player last year.

Yea I'm not shocked either but I'm wondering about all of this. The line between the supplements that are allowed and the ones that are banned is so thin, that does it really make a difference whether this guy eats powder A that's on the banned list or powder B that's allowed? Pace got suspended last year, the Williamses are taking their fight all the way to the Supreme Court & every year, a few players claim that they were suspended for eating stuff they thought was legal. I don't think Cushing was doing cycles of anything crazy, I just think that he'll tell his nutritionist to give him a supplement that's not banned next time. I kinda think that guys in the NFL are so far ahead of this testing shit and the NFL knows it. They keep a nominal list and suspend players to show that the league is clean, but in reality, I think most of the guys go far and beyond basic vitamins.

There are certain things you can take and certain things you can't. Most if not all pro athlete know or should know about what their taking. However, Cushing got caught at USC for Juicing. He got caught again.

"Juicing" is such a general term. Whatever, I don't think this matters at all. He'll come back and will eat a different supplement that does the same shit but the NFL says is okay.

It's not general at all. You can either shoot up roids or human growth hormone. Thats called "Juicing"... most if not everything else is a pill or power. When you "juice" its roids or HGH. The NFL has banned both.

Actually I think that's a after and before picture. I think the 2nd picture was a before then the first picture (the one when he's in the red shirt) is after an injury he had when he couldn't train for months. Not training caused him to lose that steroid muscle he had in that 2nd picture.

ESPN's Adam Schefter was the first to report the substance for which Cushing tested positive, and a source close to the situation confirmed the report to FanHouse on Tuesday morning.

This isn't the first time hCG has been a presence in the sports news cycle. Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Manny Ramirez was suspended for 50 games last year when he was found to have a prescription for hCG. And in October of 2008, admitted steroid user, author and reality TV star Jose Canseco was detained at the U.S.-Mexico border near San Diego for trying to bring hCG into this country from Mexico. That possible. That reminds me of a guy at my gym. The guy was massive and shredded and then he was M.I.A for like 6 or 7 months. He came back after his hiatus and he was deflated. It was actually funny.
