I know I asked a while back about changing my Favre Jersey into something else (It's authentic and I was sad lol)
Anyways, I found this supplier that sells the lettering kits for pretty much all major professional sport (MLS excluded)
www.easternlettering.net
The price is pretty fair, I got six letters to replace my Favre with Langer (my last name) and since 4 is my favorite number i think it's worked out well
the loose letters are 2.50 each. and if you some how got a jersey without numbers or name it's $27 for the entire set whatever name you want.
Its a better deal for MLB jerseys, I had bought an authentic home mets jersey (them shits are expensive!) but I didn't get a name on it. But then it just seemed too plain so I got a number 4 and Langer lettering for it 30 bucks didn't seem to bad of a deal. And I saved about 100 bucks from ordering from mlb shop this way too!
all you need is someone who can sew pretty well (my gf haha) and you're good to go!
hope this helps those people who are stuck with dud jerseys

yeah, i'll post a pic in a few days. I can tell you the letters are (as far as I can surmise) 100% authentic. Either they're OEM or they are really good knock offs. the FAVRE letters and the LANGER letters are about the same weight (i weighed them on my metric scale) the authentics were 4.3g and the new ones were 4.23g so I'd say the are about the same. The lettering on my mets jersey is the exact same material as the mets logo on the front of the shirt.
I'd say they are either high quality repros or OEM supplier. either way I'm very happy. I'm just working on getting all the old glue off the farve jersey (they use that heat press to create the initial bond and then sew it. the stitches came out no problem, and using an iron most of the glue removed as well
