Jetsfan115 Icon : (31 May 2016 - 10:28 AM) jets offered fitz 3 years 24 million dollar deal. 12 million for 2016 and 6 million each for 2017 and 2018. fitz is unhappy with the 2017 and 2018 number
MikeGangGree... Icon : (01 June 2016 - 01:45 PM) Street thug
MikeGangGree... Icon : (01 June 2016 - 01:47 PM) I really don't like Devin Smith he cost us 2 games last season with his hands of stone
Jetsfan115 Icon : (01 June 2016 - 04:27 PM) he's a rookie
Jetsfan115 Icon : (01 June 2016 - 04:27 PM) i'm more concerned we really don't have a slot WR. all of our guys are outside guys
Jetsfan115 Icon : (01 June 2016 - 04:27 PM) i wonder if amaro is gonna be a big slit guy and blocker for us
Jetsfan115 Icon : (01 June 2016 - 04:27 PM) slot
MikeGangGree... Icon : (01 June 2016 - 09:22 PM) Sources told NY daily news.Fitzpatrick is about to sign 1 year deal
MikeGangGree... Icon : (01 June 2016 - 10:06 PM) We didn't have a slot WR last year also. I do Amaro steps up I really do like him
MikeGangGree... Icon : (02 June 2016 - 09:46 AM) Ok so the jets won't take the deal. My question is why?? 1 year 12 million when they are already offering him 12 million in his first year
Jetsfan115 Icon : (02 June 2016 - 01:24 PM) 2 reasons, 1st off for salary cap relief this year. we have no cap room this year but plenty next year. a multi year deal and backload the contract and 2, why pay a guy 12 mil for 1 year with no guarentee and go thorugh this again
Jetsfan115 Icon : (02 June 2016 - 01:24 PM) fitz said he'd take a 1 year deal but jets don't want that
Jetsfan115 Icon : (02 June 2016 - 01:25 PM) they should offer him a 3 years for 30 mil. 12 this year (half in the signing bonus for cap relief) 10 mil next year and 8 mil the 3rd year. 1st 2 years guarenteed (22 mil)
RetireChrebet Icon : (03 June 2016 - 03:37 AM) You know your fucked when the biggest offseason story is can we convince a journeyman QB whom singlehandedly threw us out of the playoffs last year to sign a deal worth way more than his actual value!
MikeGangGree... Icon : (03 June 2016 - 09:59 AM) Ok jets brothers I need fantasy football help. Who should I keep in my keepers league. We have to decide by July
MikeGangGree... Icon : (03 June 2016 - 10:00 AM) Should I keep Cam Gurley or Bell?
MikeGangGree... Icon : (03 June 2016 - 10:01 AM) Cam had a monster year last year and in our league it's 6 points per PassTd and cam is getting his best WR back.
MikeGangGree... Icon : (03 June 2016 - 10:01 AM) Gurley was a monster last year as a rookie
MikeGangGree... Icon : (03 June 2016 - 10:03 AM) Bell missed most of the year with a injury but it's also a PPR league. In only 6 games last year he =100 points
MikeGangGree... Icon : (03 June 2016 - 10:04 AM) Cam also had 45 total TDs last year
Jetsfan115 Icon : (03 June 2016 - 10:50 AM) I'd keep bell
Jetsfan115 Icon : (03 June 2016 - 10:50 AM) there are maybe like 5 #1 fantasy RBs at best and you need to start at least 2
Jetsfan115 Icon : (03 June 2016 - 10:50 AM) QBs are easier to find. I had cam in 2 leagues and drafted him way late. RBs are impossible to find late

Giants having trouble selling PSLs

Bart Hubbuch of the New York Post reports after insisting for months they had no more non-premium PSLs available and fewer than 1,200 premium PSLs left, the Giants yesterday quietly announced plans to sell single-game tickets without PSLs through Ticketmaster. The sure-to-be-controversial plan starts today, when existing PSL holders get first dibs on what the team described in a news release as “a limited number of individual game tickets for the Giants’ eight 2010 regular season games.”

What is certain to cause hard feelings will come Monday, when fans who did not buy PSLs — which started at $1,000 for the Giants — will have the chance to buy single-game tickets without the PSL requirement.

So basically they lied saying they had sold their PSLs, and not only that now they are selling seats w/o the PSLs?

It's a little more complicated than that. See, the price of the licenses depends on their scarcity. If you claim that all non premiums are sold, then the price for the next best is driven up under the assumption that they are the tip top now. When you turn around and say "Oops, we had some laying in Tim's draw but he was on vacation and didn't tell his supervisor", you are liable for false advertising.

It moreso bothered me that like you say its unethical and now you have people who paid for a PSL and wouldn't have had to if they just waited, and also the fact we had to hear about how we could get blacked out and we have left over PSLs yet the giants were able to sell them all. Turns out both teams are having trouble but the jets were just honest about it and teh giants lied then removed the PSLs for remaining seats. Thats a real scummy move by teh giants which i didn't expect because in all fairness, teh giants have never been a shady franchise and the Mara family has always been outstanding owners of the Giants.< but i guess its easier to do the right thing when it works then it is when its not working

Well you know why they lied... they wanted to make the Jets look like the shittier franchise. Two teams from the same city, sharing the same stadium. The economy sucks, but one sells it's seats and the other doesn't... kinda made the Jets look like the Clippers to the rest of the league. Somehow the product that we root for wasn't as marketable as the ones the Mara's are peddling. Really petty shit.

this is pretty funny. A local radio show up here was debating who's NY's team, and one of their arguments was that the giants easily sold their psl's while the jets were basically begging people.

Giants 'surprised' by ticket sale controversy as PSL holders get first crack at single-game tickets

The Giants have a limited number of single-game tickets available if you want to see Brandon Jacobs and Big Blue in person at the New Meadowlands Stadium.

ALBANY - John Mara insisted Wednesday that the Giants never said they weren't going to sell individual, single-game tickets this season, even though most of their tickets can't be bought without an expensive personal seat license. And he said he was "surprised" by all the commotion caused by the start of the team's annual ticket sale.

"It's nothing unusual," Mara explained in a hastily arranged press conference during practice. "Every year we've put individual game tickets up for sale. It's nothing out of the ordinary. I'm kind of surprised at the amount of attention it's drawn."

The sale began Wednesday afternoon - after a Ticketmaster glitch delayed the opening several hours - when approximately 1,400 individual game tickets became available for all eight home games in a private sale for current PSL owners that continues Thursday. According to the Giants, PSL owners bought about 5,100 of the approximately 11,000 tickets that were available in the first hour of the sale.

Mara expects the tickets will sell out by the end of the day. But if they don't, the sale will be extended to former season-ticket holders and people on the now-useless waiting list over the weekend. If they're still not sold out, then the general public would get its chance at the tickets - which cost $25 more than PSL owners were charged per game - starting on Monday.

Mara said the team held tickets back from the PSL sale for a variety of reasons, including so they could comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act regulations and so they could address any unforeseen problems with the new stadium.

"I wanted to make sure that we had enough inventory set aside to deal with issues that were going to be unexpected," Mara said. "We've had a number of them. You have a diagram that shows 24 seats in a row, then construction is finally done and there's only 20 seats in that row. That happens with new stadiums. People with health problems (ask) 'Can you move me to a lower row?' Obviously we can't take care of all of them, but we wanted to take care of as many as we can.

"We could've easily sold these tickets as PSLs, but we wanted to maintain some flexibility to deal with some of these issues."

Mara said he expects that by next year, when those issues are ironed out, all the remaining seats will be sold as PSLs before the start of the 2011 season.

Mara added that the Giants still have approximately 1,250 PSLs still available, but only in the most expensive "club" levels. He said reports that the team has non-club PSLs available are "not true."

The available single seats in non-club sections must all be sold in order for the Giants to ensure that their games will not be blacked out on local TV, but given the relatively small number, Mara insisted that won't be a problem.

"We have to sell them at some point," he said. "But we're not going to have a blackout issue."

GREEN SIDE OF IT
The Jets have no plans to sell single-game tickets with no PSLs in lower sections, according to VP Matt Higgins.

Giants' single-game tickets go on sale

The Giants were unable to sell out their final 11,200 single-game tickets despite a four-day sale for PSL owners, former season-ticket holders and people on the now-defunct waiting list. So the general public will get its chance to buy up what's left starting Monday.

The team is putting the rest on sale through Ticketmaster, beginning at 10 a.m. The prices range from $110 to $725, or $25 more than PSL owners were originally charged. The Giants need to sell all their remaining non-club seats to avoid having games blacked out on local TV this season, though co-owner John Mara said last week the team will not face a blackout issue this season.

The Giants wouldn't say how many remain, only that the supply is "limited." On Thursday, Mara said about 4,000 total tickets remained.
