By all accounts, the Jets have greatly enjoyed the addition of Antonio Cromartie thus far.

In San Diego, the team seems to be enjoying Cromartie's absence just as much.

"Me and Cro had conflicts. That's just the way it was. " safety Eric Weddle told the San Diego Union-Tribune. Weddle says Cromartie's absence is, "Refreshing. I can't tell you how nice it is to come to work every day and not have that in the room and just knowing everyone is on the same page, everyone is behind each other."

Kevin Acee portrays a secondary room that had plenty of animosity between players, and between players and coaches. Cromartie in particular was blamed for an "aversion to contact and "allergy to correction."

Even Cromartie's best friend on the team Quentin Jammer says his life is a lot easier without so much drama. (Getting drama free seems to be a theme of the Chargers offseason.)

"It's easier for me now," Jammer said. "I tried my best to put out fires, tried to keep the room intact, but it was too much."

The excellent reporting gives us a glimpse at the stories within each team we usually don't see. And we have a better understanding why Chargers G.M. A.J. Smith was so eager to unload Cromartie in the offseason.

I'm very happy he's on our team, and i'm very happy our coaching staff has things called testicles which, as the chargers don't know, keeps egotistical players in check. If he has a problem or thinks he's above the team, he's gonna get reamed out by our players and coaches and put into his place. However i don't see that happening, all i see is a highly productive season for this very good corner.

So I guess Tomlinson and Cromartie were THE reason for their failures.

Hahaha

This team is too deep with veteran leadership for Cro to be a problem, with guys like Bart and Jenks running the ship along with the head honcho Rexy. Something like this wouldn't even be an issue in our locker room.

Thats the thing with the Chargers, they don't have a leader at the top, Norv Turner is not a leader and is a bad HC. Only reason he gets to the playoffs is because the Chargers have a franchise QB and play in a weak division.

This is true as i mentioned once before that west coast players coming to the east coat usually are marginal at best and LT may be defined that way also we will just have to wait and see. Cromartie needs to grow up quickly and that maturation process is exactly what the coaching staff will provide.

seriously. i can't believe those guys in SD have the nerve to say that a future hall-of-famer and a pro-bowl talent were the problem over there.

sounds like they're just using them as scapegoats for their inefficiencies as players.
