Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:45 PM) Most mocks had Lee at 17 to the Falcons
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:45 PM) He's a day 1 starter for us. We've needed OLB forever
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:46 PM) Plus we generate a great rush from wilk rich and Williams
MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:50 PM) I wanted Lawson bad
MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:50 PM) f***ing bills
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:51 PM) Lee fills a need better
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:52 PM) I would have liked tunsil to slide to us though. After east picking great
MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:52 PM) Would you take Lee over Lawson?
azjetfan Icon : (28 April 2016 - 09:55 PM) I'm not inspire by that pick. Not even a little
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 10:01 PM) Wasn't an option. Lawson was gone
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 10:02 PM) Lawson is more of a de. We already have too many of those. We only have 1 proven LBer and he's 32 and we run a 3-4. Lee is a day 1 starter
Jetsfan115 Icon : (28 April 2016 - 10:03 PM) Broncos traded up for lynch
MikeGangGree... Icon : (28 April 2016 - 10:41 PM) Round 1 is done

Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:08 AM) http://nyjetsfan.com...showtopic=38865
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:19 AM) jets tried to trade up for tunsil but the price was too high
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 05:10 PM) Tunsil will end up out of the league
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 05:12 PM) Lee isn't a pass rusher, hes a fast athletic LB. Hes probably their future at ILB, someone who can cover in the middle
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:16 PM) jets said he's an ILB for us
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:17 PM) If we could grab jack he would be an OLB
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:17 PM) ttians have 3 picks in the next 13 picks
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:33 PM) jack to jax 36th overal

SoReALSoJetS Icon : (Yesterday, 07:29 PM) Hi guys long time no talk hope everyone is well
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 07:46 PM) SMH
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:46 PM) JETS drafted QB Hackenberg PSU
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 07:47 PM) Should have picked Connor Cook.
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 07:56 PM) I guess we are giving up on petty
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:02 PM) Or giving up on geno
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:02 PM) I said the rumor was they liked him more then cook
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 11:35 PM) I know I'm biased, but I've seen them both play. Cook is just better. Hackenberg had one good year. Cook has won more games, played in big games and won them....whatever, its done now so no sense on dwelling on it I guess. I just don't see the appeal in Hackenberg, nice kid, but I always thought he was really overrated. Oh well. I would have taken Kevin Hogan over Hackenberg.

Grading Scale

Revis - Tied for 3rd - Grade: 93

Comment: Revis is arguably the best cover corner in the league. After his rookie season in 2007, Revis has put two excellent seasons together. Revis has good size and excellent athleticism for the corner position. He has excellent quickness, balance and burst to play in man coverage. He is at his best in press man coverage, where he can use his long arms to get an effective jam on his opponent off the line of scrimmage. He has good vision and instincts. Revis is a solid run-support player who shows decent pop as a tackler. He doesn't have outstanding pure speed on the perimeter, but understands angles and leverage. He's a natural runner with the ball in his hands. Revis is an impressive young athlete who should continue to improve in 2010.

Mangold - tied for 14th - Grade: 91

Commen: Mangold is considered one of the better centers in the league after four consistent seasons with the Jets. Mangold has good size and strength and can handle the shotgun snap. He's a smart, competitive player with toughness, awareness and foot quickness. He has average speed and body control in space. He has decent pop and punch initially to stymie defenders but doesn't have great natural strength to anchor versus powerful bull-rushers. Overall, Mangold has the physical tools and mental makeup to have a long career as a frontline center.

Kris Jenkins - Tied for 46th - Grade: 86

Comment: Jenkins was a high-profile acquisition for the Jets in 2008. After a solid first season in New York, Jenkins was banged up most of 2009 and had limited production. Jenkins plays with power and strength. He can locate the ball in traffic with good block recognition. He displays good anticipation but can be late off the ball at times. He gives inconsistent effort in pursuit. He can split double-team blocks and be disruptive in the backfield. As a pass-rusher, he is a powerful player who has the strength to push the inside pocket. He can get his hands up in the throwing lanes. When healthy, Jenkins has the size and power to be one of the top interior defenders in the league.

Davis Harris - 112th - Grade: 81

Comment: Harris had another outstanding season for the Jets' defense. Harris has size and athletic skills. He's a competitive player with toughness. He has good functional playing speed with acceleration and closing burst. Harris displays good explosion in his hips to take on blockers. He has good run and pass-recognition skills. He's capable of making plays in space. Harris has good instincts and can locate the ball in traffic. As a blitzer, he has great power to collapse the pocket. Harris had great production in 2009 as an inside linebacker in the 3-4 and likely will continue to improve with more experience under Rex Ryan.

Cromartie - 120th - Grade: 80

Comment: Cromartie is five-year veteran who was acquired in a trade this offseason. He an excellent athlete who was hindered by a hip injury for a good portion of the 2008 season but bounced back well in 2009. He has the size and speed to be a shut down CB in the league and can make plays on the ball like few other players in the league. He is very fluid through hips. He has exceptional recovery skills when healthy and he uses his long arms well to intercept or break up plays. He has enough size and strength to match up well with big and physical receivers, but he is also quick enough mirror routes of quick players. Cromartie is considered one of the leagues better cover corners and bolsters and already excellent Jets defense in 2010.

Holmes - Tied 122nd - Grade: 79

Comment: Holmes should be an excellent acquisition for the Jets giving their young signal-caller another effective perimeter target. Holmes had his best season statistically in 2009 racking up over 1,200 yards receiving. He has good burst out of his cuts is outstanding, and when he sticks his foot in the ground and explodes out of it, few can keep up. His deep speed and body control are also top notch. Holmes is not the biggest or strongest wide out around and probably does his best work outside the numbers. Holmes is a good football player that could have an impact in the New York passing game if he can stay out of trouble

Bart Scott - Tied 157 - Grade: 78

Comment: Scott made the transition in the Jets' scheme easy for the head coach Rex Ryan in 2009. He was a key acquisition for New York as a leader as well as providing valuable experience in the defensive front seven. Scott has good size and strength as an inside linebacker to be an effective run-stopper between the tackles. He uses his hands well to shed or slip blockers with good lateral agility and a burst inside-out to the ball. He has good pop and power as a tackler and also uses his strength to separate quickly from larger blockers. He understands leverage and angles to the ball, while also attacking the line of scrimmage with great run fits. He is solid reading and reacting as a pass-defender, but has had more success as a blitzer than in coverage. Scott is better in underneath zone coverage and can get exposed in pure man schemes. He is good at timing his blitzes up and shows good power and agility to beat his opponent.

"I'm glad that the Gillette field was soft and messy
since I spent so much time down on it."-Tom Brady
