The Jets are also hiring Rams scout Brian Heimerdinger to a prominent front-office role. St. Louis let him out of his deal.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:48 PM) Heimerdinger is our director of player personnel now

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said this week that he hates the Jets, while Jets coach Rex Ryan said he hates the Patriots.

Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez is declining to escalate the situation.

Asked if the feeling of hatred was mutual, Sanchez said, "No, I love the Patriots. I love Tom."

Then Sanchez looked into a TV camera and said, "I love you, Tom."

Whatever Sanchez thinks of Brady, there's no doubt that Jets and Patriots fans are happy to see fuel added to the rivalry. And Sanchez knows that every Jets-Patriots game is a big game.

"[Brady's comment] doesn't matter," Sanchez said. "It's neither here nor there. We respect the heck out of them. I think he's a great quarterback, it's a great franchise, and we need to bring our best when we play them -- every time."

The next time the Jets and Patriots meet is September 19 at New Meadowlands Stadium. Get your popcorn ready.

With this defense the risk vs reward will be will Brady stand still so we can punish him for a completion. How many hits can he take ? Can they pass block and protect him so he can hit his man in 2 seconds. we won't rattle brady and that will be his weakness because he should fear our improved defense and we are going to teach him that lesson with in the rules of the game.

I'm glad he loves Tom Brady. Now that that's settled, maybe he can pull his head out of his ass and start playing like him. Because right now he is playing like shit and it doesn't bode well for the self proclaimed Super Bowl Team.

Sanchez is not ready. And neither is Chad Henne. We must pray that Schottenheimer doesn't get cute. He needs to keep the run pass ratio lopsided, just like he did at the end of last year.

I have to agree, especially with the Schotty part. He has to keep out of the back of the playbook. Needs to help Sanchez get into a rhythm, and stick to the run consistently.
