Alphonso Smith (DEN, CB)
Breno Giacomini or Allen Barbre (GB, Gs)
Deuce Lutui (AZ, G)
Willie Parker or Larry Johnson (WAS, RBs)
Marshawn Lynch (BUF, RB)... most likely will not be cut but is available via trade.
Troy Smith (BAL, QB)

Not a bad shout, really not in a position we need though.

Chevis Jackson for me. Surprised he was dropped by Atlanta, and it would be a fine pickup. Has upside and is a solid special teamer, too.

If Brian Jackson is making this team (and I do like him, liked him at Bama) then Chevis surely is good enough.

PAT WHITE!
[/quote]

Watch how the Revolution's (that is my personal nickname for Pat White) release is going to get swept under the rug by the pro-Wildcat media now.

This guy was going to be some sort of revelation in the new breed of offensive plays where QBs run the ball instead of passing in a package with one receiver. What a brave new world it was to be! But like any utopia, sadly, it collapsed under its own lack of reality.

Slowly but surely the myth of the wildcat is being crushed. Hopefully all those analysts who blew what was a spectacular one game performance by a surprise Miami tactic (too bad for them the Pats weren't taping that practice) out of proportion will be fired and left to work at Mayberry's paper covering Opie's games of push-hoop against Aunt Bee.

For 2010, Tomlinson is the natural choice. For starters, it gets him involved, which keeps him from pulling a Fragile Frankie Merman, finding a spot on the end of the bench and sulking. Then there's the fact that L.T. has thrown 12 career passes on halfback-option plays, completing eight of them.

Of the eight completions, seven went for touchdowns.

The Jets are calling it, per Mehta, the Wild Horn Frog. The name obviously comes from the fact that Tomlinson played at TCU, on a team known as the Horned Frogs.

Still, with Rex Ryan coaching the team, we think it's only a matter of time before he slips and calls the thing the "Wild Corn Dog." And then drools all over himself.

And then says, "Ah, f--k. I just drooled all over my f--king self again."

I assume by "almost every" you mean "almost every" team without a legitimate qb and they run it once every other game?

Point conceded.

Was McNabb not a legitimate QB for the Eagles last year?

teams with stud QBs don't run it at all. you will never see brees, brady, manning, schaub, rodgers lining up as a WR

Eagles were trade baiting Vick, trying to get something out of him under pressure from the NFL to help him get back to big name form. They had a financial stake in having him do something. And again, they'd run like once a game.
