I read a article on fanhouse and it said there is a good chance we bring him back after the first game like Coles do they don't have to guarantee there salary. Basically this boils down to Revis the selfish prick.
But according to espn.com that will only save the team $50,000 per player, which seems stingy - and somewhat hypocritical given the amount doled out to DBrick, Mangold and now Revis - of the Revis. I understand that those three are more integral to the team's success, but surely every player - from the most talented on the roster to the long snapper - should be treated with equal respect?
I also don't understand bringing back Richardson and possibly Coles too after week one. If they are good enough to be on the roster, they should be on it for the season opener regardless if it means the front office have to shell an extra 100k or so. It also gives the impression that the front office are happy to go into week one with a slightly weakened roster. T-Rich and Coles will both be backups, but one has been replaced by a rookie, who - although impressing in preseason - could falter against such a tough defence, and the latter has been replaced by a former third round pick who hardly made the field for his former team.
