Jets are doing jets related things also... THE KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 AM) You know what I do? Not go to the fuckin games LOL
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 AM) And it's not just me because the Mets suck, Yankees can't sell out anymore at all
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 AM) Shit, even Mets vs Yankees wasn't sold out
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 AM) That never happened in the 90s
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 AM) ghetto fries
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:05 AM) whats amusing is at nationals stadium the staff is the worst
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:05 AM) they don't give a shit
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:05 AM) specially sunday morning
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:06 AM) How so?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:06 AM) Do they make you watch the Nationals?
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:06 AM) every time they handed me my food or what not then i had to go to the register to pay i just walked away because the queue was too long
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:06 AM) people running the registers just go super slow
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:07 AM) no one there is in charge of making sure the customers are following the process
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:11 AM) Wait, you pay after you get your food?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:11 AM) How does that even work?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:11 AM) Everywhere you pay when you place your order
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:12 AM) well its decided getting some booze tomorrow afternoon and drinking every time i head lebron's head band referenced
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:12 AM) like i said the concession stands are a mess
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:12 AM) You might die
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:12 AM) there were multiple people behind the counter
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:13 AM) so you could just go up to it and ask for what you wanted and 1 out of the 5 people would be on a single register
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:13 AM) so eventually you were just handed your food
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:13 AM) expecting for someone to approach the register you were standing infront to charge you
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:13 AM) or you were led to believe maybe you had to go line up to the one that had a cashier with people already waiting on it
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:14 AM) so a lot of the times when i was just handed the food i requested i would stand there look around see them go back to being distracted on their boost mobile phones or whatever reason and walked away
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:14 AM) i got 6 pretzels like this for the group i was with and 3 hot dogs
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:15 AM) my ticket one time had like 5$ towards concessions or what not their scanner wasnt working at the register so it wasnt reading it right or she didnt know what she was doing. she tried to scan it 3 times then litterally just turned away so i was standing there asking if it was all good no one answered so i just walked away with the food
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:18 AM) probably doesn't help that they are hiring people from one of the worst parts of dc
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:19 AM) in fact all the stadiums in dc are in very low income areas probably to exploit this work force
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 12:31 AM) No stadiums are in low income areas because that's how they get municipal bonds to finance construction. "Look, we're giving black people jobs! Pay for our stadium!!!"
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:32 AM) right
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:48 PM) New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez will face a lawsuit for allegedly shooting a man after an altercation at a Miami strip club.

TMZ.com broke news of this stunning development, as the lawsuit was filed in Florida federal court on Wednesday—five days prior to authorities searching Hernandez's Massachusetts home for an apparently unrelated homicide case.
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 02:41 PM) A well-placed source told Paul Lukas, who writes Uni Watch for ESPN.com, that Revis paid safety Mark Barron $50,000 to get the No. 24 from the second-year safety.
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 04:06 PM) I've watched about 3 minutes of ESPN today and have already heard the word "headband" twice.
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 04:13 PM) yea i'm going to get hammered
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 05:29 PM) that left side of japan is no joke
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 05:33 PM) damn that was so karate
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 05:45 PM) http://i.minus.com/iqVziQ4MnbBdg.gif
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 06:57 PM) James Gandolfini passed away
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 06:58 PM) he was 51, suspected heart attack
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 07:01 PM) I guess that means no soprano movie
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:14 PM) he was also a JETS fan
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 07:46 PM) That's a surprising death but him dying of a heart attack is not a surprise.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) Anyone had him in the pool?
santana Icon : (Today, 12:16 AM) nope

I wonder what everyone thinks. Who won the negotiations between the Jets and Revis?

Obviously Revis got more money but the Jets didn't give in and make him the highest paid corner in the league. So, who won?

Revis got a 4-year deal worth $46 mill with $32 in guarantees.

I guess the Jets in the fact they aren't paying him the crazy 16 mil a year, but the fair 11.5 mil a year.

I think it worked out for both sides though, he gets a deal that doesn't cripple the team and also will hit FA before hes 30, basically he added another year to his current deal and raised his pay. Went from 1 mil this year to 11.5. Hes also getting 32 mil guaranteed, which is more than Asomugha got in his deal.

All this time, He wanted 16, we wanted to give him 12. He got 11.5. I think that says it all.

We won . Jets get short term deal . far less money was spent while DRevis gets good money and another chance at more guaranteed money as a free agent at 28 yrs in 4yrs.

In a fair deal, both parties come away from the negotiating table feeling like they got fucked a little. The Jets gave Revis less money than he wanted, but 70% of it is guaranteed. Both parties caved a little and a fair outcome was reached.

This is one of those rare instances where I think both sides got a good deal. The Jets dont have to pay insane money and Revis gets his guaranteed money. Its a win win. I voted the Jets because now our f***ing defense is going to kick serious ass.

But as 0099 pointed out, he's getting more money guaranteed than Asomugha did.

Both sides though are winners, but I chose the Jets in the poll considering they were able to get him back in a week before the season opener. At one point I saw this saga dragging on, perhaps like Emmitt Smith's holdout when he missed the first two games of the year. But thankfully both sides were pragmatic enough to reach a solution.

Despite not having him in camp, it has been a good offseason for Tannenbaum in terms of locking down the team's star players to long term deals prior to the regular season beginning, meaning there will be less hassle next summer. Now there is just David Harris to go.

revis won. he held out and got an extra 28 million added to his existing contract and only had to add 1 year on it meaning he will be a free agent at 29 and primed for another contract. plus 32 million is guarenteed

Like SHJ said, both sides got jobbed. Revis got his but also it's only a 4 year meaning we'll be back at it sooner rather then later.

Revis didn't get the contract he wanted and the Jets didn't cave. I think it's fair.

Id say the Jets won all around Revis does get alot of guaranteed money.

The thing we are missing is that Revis being out Wilson got alot of first team defense time. this had to help him tremedously.
I just hope Revis is in game shape and game mentality for Monday. We will need him to be in peak against Flacco`s nasty arm.Revis is bound to be tested from holding out and not practicing and playing with the team.

Yea for sure Kyle got a lot of really good reps against 1's. He's played well too. This will only bolster his growth. Our secondary is looking really good right now. LET'S GO BABY!

wilson looks real good. cro and wilson is a huge upgrade from lito and lowery our #2 and #3 last year. our defense is gonna be hard to pass on, plus with jenks back its gonna be hard to run on too. we really don't have a weak link on D and our only weak links on O is QB and LG

Revis wins, he doesn't have to go to training camp, gets a raise, and still starts the first game of the season. I don't know about you guys but thats a victory in my book

Thanks for the Memories

Jets ultimately are the winners. They needed Revis back badly. Even if he's 50% for week one that's better than not having him. Revis screwed his reputation I think. Sitting out would have only worsened that and also let him languish in his prime.

Or you can say that Revis got nothing extra. He was guaranteed $21 mil for 3 years before this whole thing and then he would've been tagged for the 4th year ($18 mil guaranteed). That's $39 mil guaranteed as opposed to the $32 he got now.

GREAT point.

still though, i didn't vote bc it wasn't Revis won or the Jets won or yada yada. Both sides got what they wanted, and the Jets fans get what they wanted. BOTH sides came out victorious. I think it's kind of rediculous to say Revis won and the Jets didn't or vice versa. EVERYBODY WINS!!!!

LETS START THE FUCKIN SEASON!!!! OH MY GOD WHOS JUICED UP!?!?!?!?!

I voted that the Jets won but they both won though the Jets more so. Like SecondHand said both probably walked away from the table feeling like they gave up too much, but it's like that old saying the truth is usually somewhere in the middle and that's where they met. Revis got his guaranteed money and the Jets didn't have to make him the highest paid CB in the league. Hopefully come February we'll all be winners when Woody Johnson and Revis hold the Lombardi trophy.

I think both sides got what they wanted. the jets and revis both were never gonna cave 40 million so they worked out the band aid deal. revis is a jet for 4 more years and revis is guarenteed 32 million and will make 32+ his 1st 2 season on the deal.
