Canuck Jet Icon : (19 October 2014 - 01:02 PM) Harvin is Holmes 2.0, except punches for general bitchiness and annoying first down celebrations.

Jetsfan0099 Icon : (19 October 2014 - 01:06 PM) Harvin is a playmaker, we needed one.
Canuck Jet Icon : (19 October 2014 - 01:15 PM) I hope he tears it up as a Jet, but he's been tossed from 2 teams in as many years and hasn't cracked 1000 yds in his career. I wouldn't be surprised if he had CTE from those brutal head hits, hence the aggression of late.
santana Icon : (19 October 2014 - 01:18 PM) I was tossed from two t-ball teams and some people still say i was the best hitter on timid deer lane
santana Icon : (19 October 2014 - 01:20 PM) bills RBs dropping like flies

santana Icon : (19 October 2014 - 08:45 PM) I don't think he wanted to be here
santana Icon : (19 October 2014 - 08:46 PM) I don't really care for passing records being broken. Qbs now have a lot of rules in their favor
santana Icon : (19 October 2014 - 08:46 PM) I mean even the catch that got them into the redzone was a PI call that wouldnt of been called when favre played
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 05:16 AM) is that a suggestion that Favre was a better QB than Peyton?
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 08:05 AM) No it's a suggestion that passing records today are a bit skewed by the modern rules

Rex Ryan Succeeds Where Josh McDaniels Fails

* September 6th, 2010 7:23 pm ET

New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan is smart enough to not let ego get in the way of success. He knows he needs Darrelle Revis on the field. The loud, large coach found a way to take some time out of the schedule, (or maybe just the sleep schedule) with a matter of days before the season begins, to fly down to Florida to meet with his star cornerback and set the wheels in motion to end a long, ugly holdout. Today, Revis is back with the Jets and likely will start on opening Monday night against the Ravens.

Well before the 2009 season began, Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels had numerous opportunities to take one trip to Tennessee to try and convince Jay Cutler face to face that he still wanted him as the quarterback in Denver. Even though Cutler was immature throughout the process, McDaniels wasnít much better. Why couldnít the coach take one trip, when the season wasnít anywhere close to beginning, to try and sort out the mess he created? Who knows what couldíve come of that trip, but McDaniels let ego get in the way and the franchise changed dramatically.

Sure, Ryan hadnít offended his player, but he knew he needed him, no matter what issues took place between player and franchise. Seems McDaniels is yet to realize he needs his talent to be able to truly compete.

It's funny, Rex has a huge ego but this is why he's a great coach. He has no shame in his game. So what if he's a head coach of an NFL football team. He loves his players. Rex is awesome!

I love that they didn't move on from Revis, this was a guy that they needed to keep. You want to win championships you need some stars and talent. Revis is a star and the type of player you do pay. Hes not out there getting in trouble or causing problems for the team, outside of his lengthy contract issues hes been a great teammate, becoming a leader to the team, always had great work ethic and he wants to be here.

I'm just relieved everything worked out, now we can play our style of defense and not have to change some things because we didn't have the elite lockdown CB anymore.

Great offseason for us getting Mangold, Ferguson, and Revis taken care of. Though Revis having a 4 year deal means we have to deal with him again in 2-3 years.

Hard situations to compare...Revis is not the immature ass tha Cutler is...

Not defending McDaniels, I'm not his biggest fan...but you really can't compare the two.

They wrote into the contract that he can't hold out. It was written so he would be able to hit free agency by 29 years old however if he holds out it added 3 years to the deal meaning he won't hit free agency until 32 and he doesn't want that

Well, the FACT is that none of us know that...even if it appears and was made to appear that he didn't even try.

The book is still out on McDaniels. Last year started great but flop at the end. Rex is a great story. Noone expected us to be in the AFC title game. When Teblow fails. McDaniels will fail. they are tied to the hip.

Someones a*s is sore from the Tebow remark.

I personally think he'll make it. Dude is a born leader, he was born to lead, he'll learn what it takes and implement it. Even if they can gather a serious run game and good defense he won't need to be GREAT!

It doesn't bother me, you just can't make a remark about someone by making fun of him clearly calling him "Teblow"

No one takes you seriously. It's a little kids argument when you start doing stuff like that.

I wish him luck but at the end of the day, he left a huge mark on my University and that's what really matters to me.
