Chaos Icon : (17 December 2014 - 06:30 PM) @RapSheet: Sources: #Michigan has made another run at Jim Harbaugh after he initially rebuffed the school. U-M has made an offer of 6 years, $48M. Wow.

santana Icon : (18 December 2014 - 03:19 PM) holy shit thrilling match up tonight
2JBallar01 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 04:13 PM) Does it matter who wins tonight? Draft pick wise for the Jets?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 04:16 PM) Probably not. We probably want to draft above the Titans though if that is possible, they are a team that could use a QB. The Jaguars just drafted Blake Bortles, doubt they go first round QB 2 years in a row
santana Icon : (18 December 2014 - 04:29 PM) so titans win is best win
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 05:52 PM) DRAFT WINSTON
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 05:52 PM) FIRE IDZIK
2JBallar01 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 07:05 PM) I'm leaning towards wanting to draft Cooper or oline with the first pick. have a good line and or relceiver core and try and sign Bradford or trade for Cutler to play QB. And have Geno as back up for us.
2JBallar01 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 07:06 PM) Not sure if Winston can be a franchise QB. Even Mariota has question marks.
ganggreen2003 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 08:25 PM) That is why we need to draft Cooper at WR and then later in the draft go and get Petty
santana Icon : (18 December 2014 - 09:44 PM) clipboard jesus lead the way
santana Icon : (18 December 2014 - 09:48 PM) I miss leon
ROBJETS Icon : (18 December 2014 - 11:35 PM) If the Jets would have lost last week since the Jags won the Jets would have the 2 seed right now and not stuck at the 6 seed
ROBJETS Icon : (18 December 2014 - 11:36 PM) Oh well
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 11:21 AM) I think IK shows potential as a pass rusher
azjetfan Icon : (19 December 2014 - 12:50 PM) If the new HC goes to a 4-3 it will be interesting to see if Couples can play on the end.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 01:43 PM) he's probably better as a 4-3 DE then a 3-4 LBer anyway
Jetsfan115 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 01:43 PM) we'd need another DT though
santana Icon : (19 December 2014 - 02:12 PM) Rex to atlanta rumors swirling about
2JBallar01 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 03:35 PM) Who should be my 2 starters at WR for my fantasy. Championship game. It's between AJ Green, Djax, and Mike Evans. I have Hilton too but I think colts will sit him this week
2JBallar01 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 03:36 PM) I'm thinking Djax and Evans. I don't think the match up with green vs Denver
2JBallar01 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 03:37 PM) I have Ingram, Lamar Miller, and Lacy as my RBs and flex
santana Icon : (19 December 2014 - 03:41 PM) green and desean pretty much the same risk reward
santana Icon : (19 December 2014 - 03:41 PM) lock evans in and play the matchup for the other spot
santana Icon : (19 December 2014 - 03:41 PM) also might snow in denver mnf i would keep an eye on that
2JBallar01 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 04:48 PM) Good thinkin! I think I'm going to play djax. I like the match up better
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:09 PM) Atlanta would be a good landing spot for REx. He'll have Matt Ryan there so no need to develop a QB and he'll make the defense better
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:54 PM) He's not a good hc. He'll struggle anywhere.
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 06:07 PM) Idk. I bet if he had a good offensive supporting cast with established players he would do fine. He just can't develop players. It may be like the Gruden going to the Bucs but in reverse
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 06:19 PM) The Redskins are In this game, I am rooting for them so we move up a spot in the draft
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:17 PM) if he goes anywhere he needs a quality QB. He can't develop a QB
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:18 PM) Manish wrote a article how the Jets have to hire Nick Caserio as their GM and Josh McDaniels as their HC
azjetfan Icon : (Today, 12:29 AM) Anything Manish writes is either garbage of stolen.

Ok this should prove my point why Pete Prisco is the worst sports writer on the net.

We know there will be several new playoff teams in the NFL in 2010. That's the way of the league. There have been five new ones in each of the past 14 seasons.

Picking the new ones out is the tough part.

In years past, I've always tried to hit on a few. I was on the Arizona Cardinals a few years ago, so when they made the Super Bowl, even though I didn't go that far, it made me look good.

In 2009, I picked the Cincinnati Bengals to win the AFC North, leading to a slew of nasty words from Pittsburgh. The Bengals won the division by sweeping all six of their division games, again making me look good.

That isn't to say I get them all right. You all know better, judging by how much you sear me daily in your comments and e-mails.

So who is this season's team to watch?

Dare I say the Oakland Raiders? OK, so you think I'm nuttier than Al Davis right now. But I really believe the Raiders can make a playoff push.

The addition of Jason Campbell is bigger for this team than JaMarcus Russell's stomach was for his uniform. Campbell had to deal with constant change in Washington and never got a chance to show what he can really do. Now that he's with underrated offensive coordinator Hue Jackson, look for Campbell to excel.

There is talent at a lot of other spots. Scan the roster. The Raiders have one of the best cover corners in Nnamdi Asomugha, two very good defensive linemen in Richard Seymour and rejuvenated Tommy Kelly and unsung rising players like safety Tyvon Branch and pass rusher Matt Shaughnessy.

The offense has tight end Zach Miller and running backs Michael Bush and Darren McFadden -- watch them this season -- to go with Campbell. If the offensive line, which will start a rookie at center in Jared Veldheer, can come together, the Raiders might be really good.

I'm still not sure about coach Tom Cable, but the players seem to respond to him. Is he a great X's and O's guy? We don't know, but if his assistants are good -- Jackson is for sure -- it doesn't really matter.

The Raiders are higher in my first batch of CBS Sports.com Power Rankings than most would expect, checking in at No. 17. That's because I really do think they have a chance to be a playoff team, but I can't really start them any higher for now.

And, no, I am not wearing a white sweatsuit as I write this.

As for the top of the rankings, the Indianapolis Colts will open in the No. 1 spot, even though they were the Super loser. Hey, Vegas thinks they're the best team. Why wouldn't I?

The rest of the 10 is filled with familiar teams, although some, like the Atlanta Falcons, might be higher than you would expect.

If you're shocked that the New York Jets aren't in the top 10, then you haven't been paying attention to me all summer. The Jets are more overhyped than Lady Gaga.

Yes, coach Rex Ryan and his attitude are fun. And they should be good on defense. I just don't think Mark Sanchez is ready to take the next step. Even with Darrelle Revis signed to a long-term deal, it won't matter.

So let me get this straight. I like the Raiders and Jason Campbell but not the Jets and Mark Sanchez. For now, I have the Jets ahead of the Raiders, but by season's end, that won't be the case.

So anybody know where I can get sized up for a white sweat suit?

I actually like the Raiders to make big strides this year...that doesn't mean they're permanent strides...like they could be awful again the following year.

But I could honestly see the Raiders winning the AFC West, provided things fall their way.

lol...you know its football season when prisco is doing his best to talk shit about the jets.

Glad the NFL football season is just 2 days away!

but yea...I think the raiders have a shot at winning their division. Will it happen this season? ...wouldn't surprise me but I think they are just a season away from being a playoff caliber team. No more jamarcus russell around to make them look way worse than they really are. over the last 2 seasons, when they benched j-russ at the end of the seasons, the raiders had winning streaks. Campbell is the opposite of Russell, he won't lose the team games and thats all they may need.

This feels like something Prisco would write. I hate media guys that are bias. Their work often just sucks as bias gets in the way.

Is it Prisco?

Man I didn't even notice that link at the bottom of the page. I just know this assholes work. There are only a few people that just TRY to sh*t on the Jets and he's one of them. His articles are hilarious and he's known for being dumb. He's earned his reputation from being bias and saying outlandish things. I'm dumbfounded as to how he has a job.

GET OFF THE PIPE!

Seriously you guys think Campbell is that damn good? I watched enough Redskins games(living in Maryland) to see Campbell has alot of issues. He makes alot of bad decisions.Skins fans hated him.

Id rate him average to slightly below average.Average at best. Compared to Russell though he is a HOF`r.

I cant see the Raiders overtaking the Chargers. The Chargers won 13 games last year and even without Vincent Jackson OR LT they still have Gates and Rivers.Sproles isnt bad either.I cant see them having a losing season and having such a big fallout that the Raiders overtake them

Id be seriosuly surprised if the Raiders won 10 games. You guys think Louis Murphy is going to have a break out season? I dont see it. I cant see Campbell suddenly being a borderline Pro Bowl Player either.

Id be completely shocked if the Raiders took the division. They are classic under achievers. Its going to be a dogfight for second with the Chargers on top.

Best I can see is 7-9 wins at best.

Campbells QB record td`s to int`s werent to bad but his record sucked......

Yeah I'm not saying the Raiders will be world beaters but I can see them sneaking into the playoffs by virtue of a bad division. I actually think the Chargers are going to fall off the planet this season. I just think everything is going to implode for them...they won't get over getting so close but losing in the playoffs every year...and after last year's embarassment to the Jets and Vincent Jackson's holdout.

If you guys remember watching my Power Rankings video, I had the Raiders at #13 and I said on video that I picked them to win that division. I know Campbell is no Peyton Manning, but he does not have to be. All he has to be is slightly better than Russell was and that he absolutely is. Their defense is pretty darn good and will surprise alot of people. They are gonna win alot of ugly games but I see them winning that division 10-6 or 9-7.

Any of you still on the Raiders jocks?

They looked terrible. I said it before and I will say it again Campbell isnt good enough to take the Raiders to the playoffs. If by some miracle they win the division that would be their only shot. No chance of a wild card since there are only two. I just cant see them having any better than 7 wins.

They wanted Campbell out of Washington because he was a subpar qb that made bad decisions. But Suddenly he is going to be a real good qb in the tradional failed team in Oakland? I cant see it.

Its only week 1. I dont think the Raiders are that bad just like I dont think the Pats are that good. Its only 1 week. The one thing I did take out of this week 1 is that some teams that I felt were not that good (Titans and Redskins) are better than I thought.
