Jetsfan0099 Icon : (20 February 2015 - 12:10 PM) if that happens, I think the Jets should go after Shane Vereen. Nice pass catching option out of the backfield, only 25.

We just had a 12 round slugfest with the Ravens. Guys this is a team people have picked to go to the superbowl (Ravens) we had 14 PENALTIES FOR 125 YARDS. We let them convert about 4 3 and VERY LONGS. We held them to a FG and got penalized to give them a fresh set of downs. We had ZERO f*CKIN OFFENSE and we LOST 10-9.

Our team is pretty f*ckin good guys. It's going to take time.

Bro lets be real. Any other team in this league that had a performance like this would have been a blow out. basically zero offense. This team is really f*ckin good. No one would be able to survive this. 10-9 we lost. This team is very, very f*ckin good on defense.

All the penalties and zero offense and we still almost won against a very, very good team. Guys this team is serious. Once we can figure out how to score we'll be a machine!

Yeah but that offense has a lot to figure out. We started off with all that aimless pre-snap motion, does anyone think the Ravens were fooled at all by that junk? It was like we were playing three card monty with the cards up.

Last night was an offensive fail of horrible proportions. Greene was ineffective, fumbled, and never sniffed the game again. The play calling was pathetic and gutless. Mark seems to have been emasculated to the point he is afraid to even look downfield for more than the slightest glance.

We've got two winnable games coming up, but they're division. The offense has to find something soon.

I'm gonna take a step back from the ledge but Mark Sanchez played like Doo Doo Butta last night. Schotty seem scared to put the ball in his hands all night, against a weak Ravens secondary. What are we going to do against better secondaries? The Defense is great but if we can't score more than 9 points, this season is going to be very long.

Thanks for the Memories

I complete disagree.

The offense has no identity anymore, and didn't even give us a sign that they could turn things around in a way that will be acceptable to us faithful. We are expecting an obvious playoff team this year, with more to come after that.

Sanchez is refusing to stand tall in the pocket and deliver a ball down the field but he's *beep*y enough to change the play 2 or 3 times before the snap because of all the 'off season work he's done to know the offense', Schottenheimer has not a clue of what he's doing with the playcalling and our #1 RB is already struggling from the fumbles. As much as we liked that "color coding" system last year, it really put a dent in Sanchez's confident to take over a football game when we need him to.

People think that Cromartie is going to figure it out sooner rather then later, too. He's not a pure cover guy, never has been and never will be. He's got all the athletic gifts to be one, but the fact of the matter is he has never even played in a defense where he's been put man to man with no help.

Of course, it won't be as bad as it was last night. The Ravens have one of the best front 7's in football, and they have 3 amazingly gifted and experienced receivers that caused Cromartie and Wilson problems.

BUT, we have painted this target on our backs. Every game we walk into this season is going to be like this Ravens game. Jawing back in forth, and the other team all week is going to be prepping for us that much harder because of how much shit we have talked, done and said.

This team has a long way to go to even make the playoffs. Can they do it? Surely. Will they? Time to find out...

I still think this is a playoff team.

One of the biggest reasons we lost that no one has mentioned:

Shonn Greene: 5 rushes for 18 yards (2 fumbles, 1 lost)

We need Shonn to be Shonn of the playoffs last year for this offense to get going. It revolves around him, not Sanchez right now.

I didn't like the Faneca and Jones cuts. Greene had only shown flashes and also couldn't hold the ball. The new LG ole'd #92 right into Mark Sanchez. We are lucky he isn't hurt. Cromartie made Drew Coleman look good. I agree with Dubb but man did we look inept last night

No one should say the season is doomed now. On three separate occasions last year I had this exact feeling after a loss. There is so much time left its ridiculous to think the sky is falling. But still so much work to be done on offense. We all knew the Jets offense would be better week 17 than week 1, and that is encouraging to me because that's the kinds of teams that win in the post season, like last year for us.

i still have all the confident in the world in our team.. despite the penalty and believe it or not "a high flying offensive unit" of the baltimore raven, we limited them to 10 points? our defense was on the field for like what 40 minutes? hahahahaha i would like to see any other defense be on the field for that long and give away ONLY ten points
