santana Icon : (18 December 2014 - 03:19 PM) holy shit thrilling match up tonight
2JBallar01 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 04:13 PM) Does it matter who wins tonight? Draft pick wise for the Jets?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 04:16 PM) Probably not. We probably want to draft above the Titans though if that is possible, they are a team that could use a QB. The Jaguars just drafted Blake Bortles, doubt they go first round QB 2 years in a row
santana Icon : (18 December 2014 - 04:29 PM) so titans win is best win
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 05:52 PM) DRAFT WINSTON
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 05:52 PM) FIRE IDZIK
2JBallar01 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 07:05 PM) I'm leaning towards wanting to draft Cooper or oline with the first pick. have a good line and or relceiver core and try and sign Bradford or trade for Cutler to play QB. And have Geno as back up for us.
2JBallar01 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 07:06 PM) Not sure if Winston can be a franchise QB. Even Mariota has question marks.
ganggreen2003 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 08:25 PM) That is why we need to draft Cooper at WR and then later in the draft go and get Petty
santana Icon : (18 December 2014 - 09:44 PM) clipboard jesus lead the way
santana Icon : (18 December 2014 - 09:48 PM) I miss leon
ROBJETS Icon : (18 December 2014 - 11:35 PM) If the Jets would have lost last week since the Jags won the Jets would have the 2 seed right now and not stuck at the 6 seed
ROBJETS Icon : (18 December 2014 - 11:36 PM) Oh well
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 11:21 AM) I think IK shows potential as a pass rusher
azjetfan Icon : (19 December 2014 - 12:50 PM) If the new HC goes to a 4-3 it will be interesting to see if Couples can play on the end.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 01:43 PM) he's probably better as a 4-3 DE then a 3-4 LBer anyway
Jetsfan115 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 01:43 PM) we'd need another DT though
santana Icon : (19 December 2014 - 02:12 PM) Rex to atlanta rumors swirling about
2JBallar01 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 03:35 PM) Who should be my 2 starters at WR for my fantasy. Championship game. It's between AJ Green, Djax, and Mike Evans. I have Hilton too but I think colts will sit him this week
2JBallar01 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 03:36 PM) I'm thinking Djax and Evans. I don't think the match up with green vs Denver
2JBallar01 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 03:37 PM) I have Ingram, Lamar Miller, and Lacy as my RBs and flex
santana Icon : (19 December 2014 - 03:41 PM) green and desean pretty much the same risk reward
santana Icon : (19 December 2014 - 03:41 PM) lock evans in and play the matchup for the other spot
santana Icon : (19 December 2014 - 03:41 PM) also might snow in denver mnf i would keep an eye on that
2JBallar01 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 04:48 PM) Good thinkin! I think I'm going to play djax. I like the match up better
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:09 PM) Atlanta would be a good landing spot for REx. He'll have Matt Ryan there so no need to develop a QB and he'll make the defense better
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:54 PM) He's not a good hc. He'll struggle anywhere.
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 06:07 PM) Idk. I bet if he had a good offensive supporting cast with established players he would do fine. He just can't develop players. It may be like the Gruden going to the Bucs but in reverse
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 06:19 PM) The Redskins are In this game, I am rooting for them so we move up a spot in the draft
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:17 PM) if he goes anywhere he needs a quality QB. He can't develop a QB
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:18 PM) Manish wrote a article how the Jets have to hire Nick Caserio as their GM and Josh McDaniels as their HC
azjetfan Icon : (Today, 12:29 AM) Anything Manish writes is either garbage of stolen.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 07:59 AM) He doesn't develop anything on offense.
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 11:20 AM) Do we win or do we just lay down and lose and lose bad
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 11:20 AM) Discuss!!!!

Look regardless of what Sanchez does in this game it is easy to see for anyone that is actually capable of analyzing the game. Sanchez is not reading the whole field. This is the biggest reason why the passing offense is struggling and struggled last year. This is also why he threw so many picks

Instead of debating with me or arguing this I challenge anyone to watch Sanchez closely and watch his head movement. He usually just locks on to one receiver. That is the only knock I have on him because good defenses can key on this.

If you watch Brady,P Manning, Brees, Mcnabb, etc. and watch their head movement you will see that they scan the whole field and you never know where the ball is going to go. With Sanchez you almost can always tell where he is going to throw the ball.

Anyone can see the man has alot of talent and has the potential to be great but he really needs to learn to scan the field more. It may be poor coaching I dont know but he needs more head movement to confuse defenses so they cant key on him.Maybe Schotty is a big part of the problem and maybe he isnt but regardless Sanchez is the one on the field

Again instead of debating this watch his head when he throws. It is usally fixed in one place. This thread isnt about whether Sanchez makes a completion or not. It is about an absolute necessary thing as a successful NFL qb. Head movement.

Edit... he played very well but I still stand by my post. I watch him closely every game and he is looking at one receiver most of the time and still needs to fix this.To his credit he has a serious rocket arm and is able to make completions that he wouldnt otherwise.

yeah.....hhhhmmm....

The hardest thing to learn as a QB and the longest skill to develop is probably the ability to scan the entire field quickly and get through all your progressions. He had a career day today...in a huge game...where the Jets absolutely needed to have some offensive firepower.

He showed the ability to make throws in front of the WR, and when needed behind the WR. He was creative and calm on that scramble flip to LT. He showed the ability to trust his WRs to make a play on several throws, especially to Braylon Edwards. He had a great game...and you're grasping at straws to try and critique him right now.

Find me a 2nd year QB that scans the field like a Manning, Brees, Brady.. Takes YEARS to master the QB position.

The TD to Braylon in the back of the endzone, he recognized the double coverage on the slot and instantly threw the ball up for grabs to BE.

He might not scan the field, go to his 2nd and 3rd options just yet but the ability to get under center and recognize defenses is a huge piece to the puzzle.

He was very impressive today.

What about that TD to Keller? He was looking to throw to his right, saw Richardson get knocked down and then turned around and saw Keller 1 on 1 and threw it up for him to make the play.

Hopefully he can have a good game vs the Dolphins next week.

sanchez did what all good Qbs do. throw the ball up in one on one and let your WR/TE make a play on it. you can't be so worried about a pick that you never take a chance
Get it done MT

Yes I agree he was very impressive today.Im never said he wasnt. And I also said you can see his potential. I wrote this post during the game and Im not taking anything away from the his game today .He deserves all the credit and I as well as alot of other fans were bitching about his play before he lit the field up today. He made us eat crow and Im happy he did.

I still think it is a huge issue that needs to be corrected.

Other than Slauson our line is solid so he should be able to take a split second during most games and most plays to glance at his other options. The tougher the defense the Jets face the less chance that the number one option will be open and we have to many weapons on this team for him not to look at the other options.

Anyway its a question I would wish I could ask the Jets staff. Sanchez had a great game today but in game one he looked to the checkdowns and no where else and in game two he locked on one receiver down field most of the time and no where else.
Whether the Jets win or lose and whether he has a bad game or a good game it is still a problem and Id like to see it addressed by the coaching staff. If he didnt have time in the pocket Id say get rid of the ball fast but that isnt the case.

Im not going to overlook this issue because he had a masterful game. I just am not sure he can beat an elite defense without being in the habit of scanning the field of play.

And by the way I never said he never scans the field. He did it like twice during the game so he has shown he can do it. I just dont think he does it enough so it is either a really bad habit on his part or bad coaching.

Sanchez is doing a really good job reading the defenses at the line before the play. He has really impressed me with that. Once he starts reading the field during the play he will be completely solid.

There is no reason they cant fix this in practice and I hope the coaches are noticing it. It just baffles me why this wasnt addressed in the off season.I just dont like the thought of it that a defense can key on his eyes. At least against the Pats he showed he could get the ball to the receiver before the defender could make the adjustment even if they did key on him.

Anyway maybe I analyze the game and players to much but I love the science of the game(the game within the game) not just the game of football.
