Frank Luntz deserves every dime he makes. He's clearly done a damn good job. Have you even read The Communist Manifesto? I mean since you're an expert on Marxists and Marxism I'd figure you've read it before. It's been my experience that people who have been using the word Marxist the past few years picked it up from folks like Glenn Beck and the Rush Limbaugh and have never actually read The Communist Manifesto for themselves and so therefor have no idea what they're actually talking about. Something tells me it's just a word you picked up along the way and you think it's a quick and easy way to describe something or somebody you don't like. But I'm probably wrong *wishes we had a dripping with sarcasm emoticon.
You claim the "republicrats" (don't use small "d's" and "r's" when refurring to the parties) don't represent you but yet you're spewing the same bullshit that has been coming out of the Republicans mouths for years. I guess you're going to be living with disappointment for years to come because as long outlawing a woman's right to choose whether or not she can get an abortion is a part of the Republican party's platform, they will not commit to staying out of our lives. As long as they propose amending the U.S. constitution to say two people of the same sex can't sign a marriage license, they won't be committing to staying out of our lives. As long as they continue to support borrowing money from other nations to pay for wars and cutting taxes that mostly benefit the super rich, they will not be committing to staying out of our lives. Again ever since Lincoln the Republicans have really never supported limited government and for the brief time that they did (the 1920s) they laid the ground work for the 1929 stock market crash and the Great Depression that followed. Hell they almost did it again in the 2000s. But to be fair they did have some help from Bill Clinton and Robert Rubin. I can tell you this though, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Hayley Barbour, Mike Hukabee, Ron Paul, and Jeb Bush...none of them support limited government either despite what they might tell you.
And the Republicans in congress weren't in lockstep with Newt Gingrich and later George W. Bush and Tom Delay? I seem to recall them doing the same things you're bitching about Nancy Pelosi doing. So what??? For decades both houses of congress have been doing whatever the PACs and special interest groups with deep pockets have been paying for them to do. Both parties do it and aren't ashamed of it either. They spend more time on the phone fund raising than they do reading and writing legislation. That didn't start in 2006 and it didn't start in 1994, but it has gotten worse year after year. But holding a bunch of little rallies with tea bags hanging off your hats and holding signs with Obama looking like the Joker from The Dark Night movie isn't going to change a damn thing. Those people just look like dumbasses coming out the house looking like that. These "tea party" candidates are just going to get into office and do the same damn thing the folks in congress are doing now. Worry about how they're going to fund their re-election campaigns and what lobbying firm or corporation they want to work for after they leave congress. They are no different, they're just pandering to an angry electorate.
That doesn't change the fact that he did it and he FEDERALIZED (cue the scary music) the Arkansas national guard and sent them to Central High School to protect the Little Rock Nine. Plus he appointed John Harlan to the Supreme Court too and he also supported the court's ruling in Brown v. the Broad of Education. That's why the conservatives in the senate held up his confirmation until after the court gave it's ruling. Plus Eisenhower used the CIA to overthrow the democratically (see that's how we use the small "d") elected government in Iran just to reinstall the Shah who was more favorable to the U.S. government and it's interests (Iranian oil). Thaaaat really sounds like limited government to me. Damn I wish we had that dripping with sarcasm emoticon.
