santana Icon : (Yesterday, 03:19 PM) holy shit thrilling match up tonight
2JBallar01 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:13 PM) Does it matter who wins tonight? Draft pick wise for the Jets?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:16 PM) Probably not. We probably want to draft above the Titans though if that is possible, they are a team that could use a QB. The Jaguars just drafted Blake Bortles, doubt they go first round QB 2 years in a row
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 04:29 PM) so titans win is best win
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 05:52 PM) DRAFT WINSTON
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 05:52 PM) FIRE IDZIK
2JBallar01 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:05 PM) I'm leaning towards wanting to draft Cooper or oline with the first pick. have a good line and or relceiver core and try and sign Bradford or trade for Cutler to play QB. And have Geno as back up for us.
2JBallar01 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:06 PM) Not sure if Winston can be a franchise QB. Even Mariota has question marks.
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:25 PM) That is why we need to draft Cooper at WR and then later in the draft go and get Petty
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 09:44 PM) clipboard jesus lead the way
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 09:48 PM) I miss leon
ROBJETS Icon : (Yesterday, 11:35 PM) If the Jets would have lost last week since the Jags won the Jets would have the 2 seed right now and not stuck at the 6 seed
ROBJETS Icon : (Yesterday, 11:36 PM) Oh well
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:21 AM) I think IK shows potential as a pass rusher
azjetfan Icon : (Today, 12:50 PM) If the new HC goes to a 4-3 it will be interesting to see if Couples can play on the end.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 01:43 PM) he's probably better as a 4-3 DE then a 3-4 LBer anyway
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 01:43 PM) we'd need another DT though
santana Icon : (Today, 02:12 PM) Rex to atlanta rumors swirling about
2JBallar01 Icon : (Today, 03:35 PM) Who should be my 2 starters at WR for my fantasy. Championship game. It's between AJ Green, Djax, and Mike Evans. I have Hilton too but I think colts will sit him this week
2JBallar01 Icon : (Today, 03:36 PM) I'm thinking Djax and Evans. I don't think the match up with green vs Denver
2JBallar01 Icon : (Today, 03:37 PM) I have Ingram, Lamar Miller, and Lacy as my RBs and flex
santana Icon : (Today, 03:41 PM) green and desean pretty much the same risk reward
santana Icon : (Today, 03:41 PM) lock evans in and play the matchup for the other spot
santana Icon : (Today, 03:41 PM) also might snow in denver mnf i would keep an eye on that
2JBallar01 Icon : (Today, 04:48 PM) Good thinkin! I think I'm going to play djax. I like the match up better

Highly doubt he retires....I think this is just Harrison's extreme response to express his discontent with the seemingly dramatic response by the NFL this week....

Harrison's not retiring. He's just unhappy with the 75,000 fine he got.

Massaquoi's agent is a little ridiculous though saying that 75K fine wasn't enough. His client knows that every time he steps onto the field he's taking a risk of taking a hard hit. I dont care if Harrison's made millions or not. 75 grand isnt chump change after considering that harrison's agent and the government still have to take their cut as well as the players union out of his salary.

The panel on NFL are DEAD ON!.. how many years has it been since there have been tackling in football? You can't change it Goodell. You simply CANNOT!

Now like the panal says. Enforce the rules that are ALEADY IN PLACE. Dunta Robinsons hit was as clean as hit as you'll see. Was is vicious? yes... however he didn't launch, nor did he go for the head of DeSean. It was a hit across the middle of the field. I'm sorry, I'm all for safety as well but Jesus Christ, we can't let this game get out of hand. We already have screwed up the P.I calls. P.I calls shouldn't be from the spot of the foul. It should be a 15 yard penalty. Not a 50 or 60 yard penalty. Anyways Goodell is going to f*ck this up. The league is going to f*ck this up. I know it.

Nothing we can do but I might have to write a letter to Goodell or the league office. I'm not going to be able to stand it if football starts being called like Basketball games.Posted Image

They over-react to the numbers only. the last 3 years the NFL averaged 27 concussions total reported per year, they're year there at 47 already. But you can't blame the defense for getting bigger and faster. they are already at a disadvantage. I'm ok with fines and suspensions for players who are PURPOSELY spearing players or aiming for the head and trying to injure other players (like romanoski used to) but you can't flag or suspend a player who lays down the wood if he keeps it legal. like revis's hit on royal was legal, leonhards hit on royal was legal.

I don't know if this is a bit much, but i personally think that GOODELL IS THE HITLER of the NFL. He seriously is single handedly killing the sport year after year. the act that no one has tried to seriously try to throw him out of power is unbelievable. Well i hope he knows that after he kills the NFL he's good as fucked when it comes to money cause he, along wiht the owners are goin bankrupt.

I think a lot of aggressive players will consider retirement rather than a complete change of playing style.

Knee jerk reactions are becoming a trademark of the pathetically PR conscious Goodell. Two game winning PI calls? Change the rule!Q However, note that in the NY-Den game the PI was blatant since Holmes had the ball hit his hands and only a facemask could stop the catch. In the Hou-KC game it was just the wrong call. In either situation, a fifteen yard penalty isn't the answer.

The issue on PI is when it gets called wrong it hurts the other team big time. The answer isn't to mitigate the possibility of a bad call by lessening the penalty, you'll just end up with DBs throwing guys down deep to break up a play. Refs should get fined and suspended for blown calls at that level. All they are watching for is possession and in bounds. Johnson was way in bound, so the only issue should have been watching his hands. How the ref misses a push when we can see it from camera level above the field is beyond me.

The truth behind Jay Fiedler's disspearance?

The league is thriving. If you don;t like the way he's running things that's fine, but none of this is true.

Big hits are part of the game, and a big part of what draws fans to the game. But there does need to be balanced, and player safety does need to be considered. I understand that players choose to play the game, and put their bodies on the line. However, the league and officials do arguably owe the players a duty of care. I found the interview on ESPN.com with Mark Schlereth quite disturbing. During his career he put everything on the line and has had 29 surgeries to show for it. But there is a difference between knee injuries and head injuries. Unfortunately Schlereth, and other players may end up in wheelchairs or need a walking aid in the future, but their standard of living is going to be much better than players who have suffered repeat concussions because the symptoms are far less severe than amnesia and potential brain damage.
The onus to me is on players to improve their tackling technique. Revis showed on Sunday you can make a hard hit without it having to be uncontrolled, whereas the shots from Harrison and Robinson were not.

The Robinson hit was violent, but legal. If Jackson wasn't a *beep* that misses time anyway it wouldn't have been a problem. Robinson was running, slowed, put his hands up.

If hard hits that knock out notably fragile players will draw suspensions, I say we load up on wimps so that no one will be willing to touch them.

The Merriweather hit was dirty, the Massaquai his was kind of dirty, but that is it. The call on Leonhard showed that you'll get called for tackling in the modern NFL. I say fire all the defensive players in the league and let the players just play 100-yard pitch and catch.
