Jets Worked Out 4 Players On Thursday
Posted 24 October 2010 - 11:20 AM
The workout was conducted Thursday.
Ellison was cut by the Chargers following a possession of a controlled substance arrest and signed by the Seahawks before being released.
The Jets also worked out defensive end Nick Reed(notes) (Seattle Seahawks) and rookie quarterback Jonathan Crompton(notes) (San Diego Chargers).
This marks the second workout this week for Crompton, a former Chargers fifth-round draft pick.
He worked out for the Houston Texans on Tuesday.
The players of note that they took at look at included Ss Kevin Ellison and Al Afalava, QB Jonathan Crompton and DE Nick Reed.
Crompton, who was selected in the fifth round of this year’s NFL Draft, also worked out for the Houston Texans earlier this week.

Probably because Ainge's days are over...Brunnell MAY have 1 season left...and Clemens(who knows)...remember, this guy was good enough to be drafted by the Texans in the 5th round....so why not take a look at him?

Clemens will be here as long as nobody offers him a starting job or the chance to compete for one. brunell will retire, but i'm almost positive clemens and sanchez will stay (sanchez obviously is 100% i'd say 'm 95% on clemens) which still means we need a 3rd QB ainge is gone and is a douche anyway this guy can be the #3QB next year
Ive been wondering about since the Jets were number one against the pass last year
Smiht was never starting it was rhodes and leonhard. Its clear that neither smith or pool have the range rhodes had as a FS, also take into account taht revis hasn't been the revis of last year and that explains it all
