SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) You're not in NY. All the backpages are focused on Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) None of the NY media even mention Cruz or Nicks
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:40 PM) nicks isn't holding out. he's injured still and taking it easy. cruz is holding out. why it isn't a big ordeal IDK. it would be for us
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) maybe because theyre not that far off.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) Cruz wants to return back, they'll figure it out.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) 3 mil a year off or 30% less then cruz wants. tahst alot of money to be off
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) cruz doens't want to leave NY cause teh extra money he'll get in endorsements plus he knows taht they can RFA him this year and then Franchise next year so he might not be able to get a LTD for 3 years
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 05:21 PM) Clemens11/Tebow15 (soon to be Smith7) said if we had just drafted Crabtree and Nicks and kept Clemens, we'd be good.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) No, he can't be Smith7
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) his name is reserved for garbage QBs, we don't want Geno to be bad
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) He can be McElroy14
extmenace Icon : (Yesterday, 06:51 PM) we're taking bridgewater next year with the number 1 pick and treating geno like a jimmy clausen.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:53 PM) What makes Bridgewater better than Geno?
HurricaneJet32 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:12 PM) everything
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:56 PM) ^
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:16 PM) college players always get hyped up before the draft process, just wondering what makes him so much better.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) Stronger arm, plays in a pro system, better throwing motion, better athlete
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) there's probably nothing Geno does right now that's better than what Teddy does
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 10:25 PM) Wouldn't it be funny with Bridgewater ends up having the type of season Barkley had?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) better athlete but never runs as well
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) stronger arm but rarely throws deep
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) I am trying to find this article, but Bridgewater had about the least amount of 40+ throws in college football
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:49 AM) I wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't viewed as highly next year. College players always get hyped up a year before the draft process. People change their opinions quickly.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 07:56 AM) I'll put a good amount of money that Bridgewater is still highly regarded coming out next year.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:00 AM) ok I found the chart
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:00 AM) Bridgewater had 0% of his passes go 40+ yards in college
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:02 AM) he could be, I'll wait though
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:02 AM) I doubt Smith will be as bad as Clausen anyways
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:03 AM) I remember watching Clausen in a NFL game and the guy couldn't even throw a spiral.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:03 AM) Geno has been impressing teammates with how well he can spin the ball and sling it.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 08:31 AM) I hope Geno turns out to be a f***ing monster
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 10:52 AM) andrew luck was hyped up for like 3 years before he entered teh draft
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:34 AM) tehhhh
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:37 AM) it wasn't for 3 years and Andrew Luck is the best QB prospect to come out in years. Teddy Bridgewater most likely isn't Luck or RGIII
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:40 AM) I've only seen Bridgewater play once. That was against Florida, I actually watched that game.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 12:12 PM) Teddy will be a good NFL QB I think
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 12:52 PM) THE KNICKS
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 01:21 PM) THE. KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:43 PM) Geno was the favorite to win the Heisman this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:44 PM) He was also a Top 5 pick this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:44 PM) If he came out in 2012, he might have gotten drafted before RG3
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:56 PM) TEH KNICKS
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 03:25 PM) noway he would have been drafted before RGIII
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Today, 04:00 PM) Tehhhh
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 04:12 PM) chuck norris said tebow is a great QB. i'm so conflicted becuase tebow sucks but on the other hand if chuck norris said it, it must be true lol

Superbowl XLII Hero David Tyree: Same-sex marriage leads to 'anarchy' June 16 ESPN.com Share Article "Just days after former New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan appeared in a video supporting marriage equality in New York, Super Bowl XLII hero David Tyree came out and argued why he opposes same-sex marriage.

Tyree, the former Giants wide receiver and special teams standout, says same-sex marriage could lead to "anarchy" in a video for the National Organization for Marriage.

"What I know will happen if this does come forth is this will be the beginning of our country sliding toward, it is a strong word, but anarchy," Tyree said in the video. "The moment we have, if you trace back even to other cultures, other countries, that will be the moment where our society in itself loses its grip with what's right."

"It's about what's right," Tyree added. "It's about how can marriage be marriage for thousands of years and now all of the sudden, because a minority, an influential minority, has a push or an agenda and totally reshapes something that was not founded in our country, not founded by man, it is something that is holy and sacred. I think there is nothing more honorable, worth fighting for, especially if we really care about our future generations."

Tyree's video came shortly after Strahan and Steve Tisch, Giants chairman and executive vice president, came out in favor of same-sex marriage. Strahan and Tisch are two of numerous celebrities who have shot videos promoting New Yorkers for Marriage Equality through the Human Rights Campaign.

HRC spokesperson Fred Sainz responded to Tyree's comments."

Yeah I remember when Canada and Spain legalized gay marriage a few years ago and all those riots broke out and people started killing each other for no reason; and then people started dying from mysterious plagues and then suddenly those two nations were sucked into the depths of hell.

My God is more concerned about things like illness, poverty, and injustice than he is about whether two men or two women can sign a state of New York marriage license.

I personally think Gay Marriage shouldn't be allowed. You don't need to be married if your gay. Common Law and people with a marriage certificate have the same benefits. Now if a person is gay then be gay. I'm fine with it, I could care less what they do. However I do not think they should be married because that would mean in a church under God. That I have a problem with.

I hate when people make marriage this big religious thing. It's not. Some get married to a hooker in Vegas when they're hammered. Britney Spears can go ahead and get married for 72 hours, for "fun". Immigrants can pay off someone to marry them for papers. The divorce rates in this country for 1st, 2nd and 3rd marriages are 50%, 67% and 74%. No marriage is not that serious to about half the population (and then some). But let two fags get married and all of a sudden people evoke "the church". Stoping gays from getting married is like stopping women from voting or blacks from reading... because once upon a time "the church" supported both those views as well.

Sure there are low scum-baggy ways of doing anything in this world. I'm not a religious man. However I do think certain things should be done a certain way. We can't totally blame MAN kind for the views of once upon a time. It was MAN that decided and said women can't vote, it was MAN that kept education from away from certain cultures to oppress them for their own selfish reason. However none of this is the way of the Lord or lords plans. if a guy gets fucked in the ass in a drunkin state in Vegas with a hooker, wakes up and wants to marry her he can. ( Again it's MAN made laws allowing this)

However, since a woman can only have a child and a man can only plant a seed I truly think that both should and only be married the RIGHT way under God in a church.

However I have no problem with them going down to city hall and getting a marriage certificate if they feel the need to. I do not think it's acceptable to do it in the house of God. We were Man and Women at one point. Somewhere along the line something happened and that's fine. I'm not in agreement with having 2 males or 2 females getting married under God.

If they want to feel special go to city hall and get your little piece of paper and live a happy life. There! no harm no foul, everyone's happy.

Of course there's no right answer to this but I disagree with you. I think that it should be up to a particular church to perform or reject ceremony for same sex couples. Within every religion there are hardliners and there are modernizers. Let those who feel like you have their gay-free churches and let those that think that God doesn't care who fukcs who marry whoever the want.

^^^This would be the best solution.

I could care less if gays want to have a marriage ceremony in church. I really don't understand the big deal, but I'm not religious in the slightest either. IMO, homosexuality is nature's way of population control. Obviously it's not biologically "normal", since there is no way to reproduce. However, I don't see homosexuality as a choice(in most cases), and I most certainly am not any type of omnipresent godlike figure, so who am I to condemn gays? Same sex marriage is definitely a religious subject, whichever way you lean on the matter.

Personally I think the gay community needs understand when they have a good thing and learn to STFU. Look how far homosexuality has come? Ok fair enough right? Gays can walk down the street holding hands. I seen 2 girls going at it on the train a little while ago. Didn't bother me and the majority of the observers didn't seem to mind it either, male or female. The bottom line is knowing when to draw the line. They don't have to hide anymore, the statistical suicide rate among gays had dropped astronomically over the past 10 years as society hasn't looked down on the gay community as much and they have become quite liberated as of late.

My point ultimately is knowing when to let the lion sleep. They are socially accepted now, everywhere you look your seeing old laws change. As they should. They've don't have to hide. One can be gay without restraint or limitations openly in public. Check 1 up for the gays. However I think they need to let it be. Wanna get married and feel bonded with that person? Fine... Go down to city hall like I said, sign the certificate and hold a gathering at a hall or banquet with family and friends to celebrate the occasion. All I'm saying is you really start to ignite a fire when you want to get married the old fashion way. That's been the problem with man kind. We just want and want and want and we push and push to make things happen whether they are for the good or terribly wrong.

In a perfect world they should be happy with a certifacate and done. Leave the religious, getting married in front of priest and or pastor chapel ceremonies alone. Just let it go. Sometimes you gotta know when to just leave something alone. Be thankful for what ya got and how far you've come and stop pushing the envelop.

Dubb that's all their asking for, the state marriage license. They're not banging on the church doors in hot pink short shorts and fish net tank tops waving the rainbow flag saying let us in. They just want to be seen as one couple in the eyes of the state they live in. I believe many gays could care less whether a certain church accepts their marriage or not. See the problem is people can't separate wedding and marriage. Any man and woman can go to a church and get married, but they'll only be married in the eyes of God. But God doesn't make the laws in the state of New York (or any of the other 49 states in our union). When you went to vote last November I'm pretty certain "God" was not a candidate on the ballot. So God (and none of his representatives on earth) have no say in this matter. They don't make or enforce state (or federal) laws. We as a nation (and I think it should be legal in all 50 states) are governed not by what is written in the Christian bible but by the United States constitution. Even before that was written this nation was founded on the idea that "all men are created equal." The DOI didn't say all those men had to be heterosexuals.

But this is the civil rights issue of our time. Why should gay people have to wait to have the rights they're supposed to have as citizens anyway until we in the majority (heterosexuals) see fit to give them those rights? So what if we're more comfortable with them now than we were 20 years ago. Did U.S. Supreme Court wait until they felt the south was ready for desegregation when they ruled on Brown v. the Board of Education? Sometimes change has to be made because it's the right thing to do despite whether or not the majority of people are ready for that change.

And how do we even know how God truly feels about homosexuality anyway? Because of the way some people interpret the King James version of the Holy Bible. God didn't write that version of the bible, man did. I believe God loves all his children and cares more about their happiness and their well being than he does about whether or not his children can procreate. Not allowing gays to marry on the grounds that they can't have children together is ridiculous. That's like saying barren women or a sterile men shouldn't be allowed to marry since they can't have children either. Neither can couples who use birth control.

I'm kind of with you on the allowing gays to marry in church part of issue though. That does make me personally uncomfortable to be totally honest. But that's my problem not anybody else's. That something I need to grow out of. I do like that some churches support gay marriage and as SecondHand said it should be up to an individual church to decide whether or not they should perform ceremonies for gay couples. I need to get over my own personal issue with it and the older I get the more comfortable I'm becoming with the idea of gays marrying in church. Because like I said I don't know how God truly feels about homosexuality anyway, so if that's the case why should I be against it?

I'm glad people like Frederick Douglass, Dr. King and Thurgood Marshall pushed the envelope though. Just being happy with the way things currently are doesn't mean things should stay that way. American was founded by revolutionaries and made better by later revolutionaries. So it's against our nature to just be happy with the status quo and wait until we're all ready for change to happen.

Overall good post sir. That bold print can go both ways and it's up to man to make the right choice. Somethings aren't meant to change. IMO

It's only a matter of time until us Westerns all allow gay marriage. I like what you said about most people don't know the difference between marriage and a wedding. It's true. I'm certain it will be allowed at some point and as long as the gays don't get all lathered up because they can't get married in a church I'm good. Again this is 1 man's opinion. I just think the certain foundations of who were are as humans should remain the same.

When you get into all that gay marriages in church stuff then it leads to gays raising children which really opens a new can of worms.

For sure gay marriage will be legal in all 50 states one day. I think in the end it's going to be the Supreme Court that does that just like they did when they ruled in favor of the Lovings in Loving v. Virginia (the case that legalized interracial marriage in all 50 states).

But this David Tyree thing really shines a light on something none of us has mentioned yet. Yeah homosexuality is becoming more accepted in places like the entertainment industry and even in our government and politics. But there is still one place where it's shunned, the sports world. I got a question for you guys. What if tomorrow Darrelle Revis came out and said he was gay? Would you still be willing to wear his jersey out in public? I mean honestly considering the whole world would know that was a gay player's jersey. Do you think you would be able to handle the heckling from some Giants or Pats fans, even fellow Jets fans? What if it wasn't a superstar player like Revis, what if it was like Dustin Keller for example? What if it was a pro athlete on another NFL team that came out of the closet? Do you think we'd be mature enough as football fans not to use it to taunt fans of that player's team? That's something I wonder about because homosexuality is still a big taboo in sports. I mean when you add up all the active players in the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL (something in the thousands) are we really to believe none of them are gay? Even when you add in division 1 college football and basketball players? We still have a lot of progressing to do in the world of sports on this issue. It seems like there has been no change on this issue in the world of sports in the last 20 years, while Hollywood and Washington has continued to progress on the acceptance of openly gay people in those industries.

I'm sure that there are dozens of gay athletes, but the culture of team sports is such that if a player came out of the closet, he'd ostracized. It will take a very good tennis or maybe golf player to break that barrier. I can't see a "team" player coming out of the closet while he's still playing. I think that after his career is over, it's more acceptable. And yes, I'm looking at you Michael Strahan.

So has there been anarchy today in New York? Any riots, floods, plagues of locusts?

I woke up at 5:30 AM because there was about a dozen 11-13 y.o. Polish girls that were hanging outside my building yelling shit at each other in Polish. I told them to shut the f*** up, they cursed me out so I threw eggs at them. Then I noticed like 4 mosquito bites on my hand.

So now single people are the only ones who can't share benefits. This is BS.
