ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 PM) he's a completely weak-minded individual
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 PM) already back to doing what he did last season THROWING INT's
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 PM) sucks that Garrard retired but I'd rather suffer with Geno going through growing pains than keeping Sanchez under center in 2013
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:33 PM) haha gg03 throwing in the towel on sanch!
mgjetman Icon : (Yesterday, 01:37 PM) What a way to make sporrts center already, Mark......
mgjetman Icon : (Yesterday, 01:39 PM) Sanch owns the #1 blooper of all time with that butt fumble also and to make matters worse he threw it right to a friggin Pat...
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:53 PM) buttfumble on thanksgiving was the low point of his career
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:55 PM) Teammates talking shut about Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:11 PM) In case you haven't heard, because why would anyone report on the Giants, Nicks is also holding out
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:11 PM) That makes both Cruz and Nicks.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:11 PM) But who cares, Sanchez threw 3 "interceptions"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 02:59 PM) ?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 02:59 PM) why would we give a f*** about the Giants?
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 03:04 PM) gg03 jimmies are riled
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) You're not in NY. All the backpages are focused on Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) None of the NY media even mention Cruz or Nicks
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:40 PM) nicks isn't holding out. he's injured still and taking it easy. cruz is holding out. why it isn't a big ordeal IDK. it would be for us
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) maybe because theyre not that far off.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) Cruz wants to return back, they'll figure it out.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) 3 mil a year off or 30% less then cruz wants. tahst alot of money to be off
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) cruz doens't want to leave NY cause teh extra money he'll get in endorsements plus he knows taht they can RFA him this year and then Franchise next year so he might not be able to get a LTD for 3 years
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 05:21 PM) Clemens11/Tebow15 (soon to be Smith7) said if we had just drafted Crabtree and Nicks and kept Clemens, we'd be good.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) No, he can't be Smith7
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) his name is reserved for garbage QBs, we don't want Geno to be bad
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) He can be McElroy14
extmenace Icon : (Yesterday, 06:51 PM) we're taking bridgewater next year with the number 1 pick and treating geno like a jimmy clausen.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:53 PM) What makes Bridgewater better than Geno?
HurricaneJet32 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:12 PM) everything
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:56 PM) ^
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:16 PM) college players always get hyped up before the draft process, just wondering what makes him so much better.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) Stronger arm, plays in a pro system, better throwing motion, better athlete
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) there's probably nothing Geno does right now that's better than what Teddy does
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 10:25 PM) Wouldn't it be funny with Bridgewater ends up having the type of season Barkley had?

There has never been a time when the Giants have not looked down their nose at the Jets. The men of Mara Tech are portrayed by a fawning media as holier than thou, a totally "class" organization.

The Jets? Heathens. Their only legendary player a rebel whose cause was to pose in panty hose. Nothing much has changed over the years including Gang Green's us-against-the-world mentality, which has been magnified the past two seasons by their mouthy coach Rex Ryan.

But something is happening here. It seems like while John Mara was busy negotiating with players and their reps during the NFL lockout the Giants organization had a lobotomy and received the Jets brain in a transplant.

Look what went down last week. While Ryan was calmly answering questions posed by his chief antagonist Mike (Sports Pope) Francesa, Giants GM Jerry Reese, a guy anointed as an even-keeled operator, was bugging, spinning to the max.

Reese was playing defense but full of swagger, saying: "We'll make the plays this time and we'll get into the playoffs and we'll make a run." Reese can't be accused of stealing that line from the Rex Reader. He didn't guarantee a Giants Super Bowl win.

Still, Reese sounded delusional when he said: "We had a game plan. We're sticking to our game plan." No matter this line is impossible to swallow. Even a sainted organization must circle the wagons when the chips are down.

There was some good news, a silver lining for the Giants. At a time when the Jets owned the ink, air, and Internet, the Giants were breaking big on the back pages again. Tom Coughlin was heard from, too. Remember, he's the guy the Giants had media trained. Coughlin spoke out, saying he was "upset" over the way Steve Smith bolted to Philly. The coach was probably upset because Smith showed up five minutes early for a meeting - with Andy Reid.

"It's like lining up for the race, you're in the lockeroom, and nobody tells you the race is going to be run," Coughlin said. Very clever. The media training worked.

At least the coach wasn't hiding behind the Twitter account of Giants public relations operative Pat (Tweety) Hanlon. Here's a guy whose PR strategy includes going on Twitter and ripping fans, perhaps even paying customers, who dared to tweet critical comments about the Giants.

@BarstoolScott tweeted: On paper they ARE worse. no matter who signs your checks."

Hanlon: We don't play on paper. You know what you can do w/that paper?

Hanlon referred to one guy as a "knucklehead." He also tweeted he "could give a s--- about the proclamations at the end of the Turnpike."

Imagine if Ryan or Mark Sanchez took to Twitter to rip fans? The media would crucify them. It would become a big issue, another reason to blast the loudmouth, out-of-control coach who once was killed by the media for giving the finger to drunken fans at an MMA event.

Hanlon? He figuratively shoots the bird to fans on Twitter and skates. After all, he is a Giant. Hanlon must find this all very funny. So did the media. They rolled over for him.

Giants brass didn't care either. In fact it promoted Hanlon to senior vice president of communications.

A very Jets-like move.

SPORTS POPE'S GREEN DAY
Mike Tannenbaum and Ryan must have used the old Leon Hess strategy on WFAN's Francesa. They probably softened the Pope up by kissing his ring prior to him granting an audience with the likes of Plaxico Burress, Darrelle Revis and Sanchez at Jets camp Thursday.

The Pontiff didn't exactly hardball guys he had previously knocked. The main event was his one-on-one with Ryan. His Holiness must be credited for trying to prove a point - that no one tees Ryan off more than he does.

In three different ways The Ethereal One tried asking the coach if "I or anyone else" have said something "that has really bothered you." Ryan answered the same way each time, saying when he came to the Jets he realized the heat would be constant.

Ryan revealed something most managers and coaches around here are reluctant to do. "I read almost everything written (about me and the Jets)," he said.
