Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:33 PM) haha gg03 throwing in the towel on sanch!
mgjetman Icon : (Yesterday, 01:37 PM) What a way to make sporrts center already, Mark......
mgjetman Icon : (Yesterday, 01:39 PM) Sanch owns the #1 blooper of all time with that butt fumble also and to make matters worse he threw it right to a friggin Pat...
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:53 PM) buttfumble on thanksgiving was the low point of his career
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:55 PM) Teammates talking shut about Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:11 PM) In case you haven't heard, because why would anyone report on the Giants, Nicks is also holding out
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:11 PM) That makes both Cruz and Nicks.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:11 PM) But who cares, Sanchez threw 3 "interceptions"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 02:59 PM) ?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 02:59 PM) why would we give a f*** about the Giants?
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 03:04 PM) gg03 jimmies are riled
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) You're not in NY. All the backpages are focused on Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) None of the NY media even mention Cruz or Nicks
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:40 PM) nicks isn't holding out. he's injured still and taking it easy. cruz is holding out. why it isn't a big ordeal IDK. it would be for us
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) maybe because theyre not that far off.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) Cruz wants to return back, they'll figure it out.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) 3 mil a year off or 30% less then cruz wants. tahst alot of money to be off
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) cruz doens't want to leave NY cause teh extra money he'll get in endorsements plus he knows taht they can RFA him this year and then Franchise next year so he might not be able to get a LTD for 3 years
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 05:21 PM) Clemens11/Tebow15 (soon to be Smith7) said if we had just drafted Crabtree and Nicks and kept Clemens, we'd be good.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) No, he can't be Smith7
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) his name is reserved for garbage QBs, we don't want Geno to be bad
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) He can be McElroy14
extmenace Icon : (Yesterday, 06:51 PM) we're taking bridgewater next year with the number 1 pick and treating geno like a jimmy clausen.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:53 PM) What makes Bridgewater better than Geno?
HurricaneJet32 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:12 PM) everything
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:56 PM) ^
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:16 PM) college players always get hyped up before the draft process, just wondering what makes him so much better.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) Stronger arm, plays in a pro system, better throwing motion, better athlete
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) there's probably nothing Geno does right now that's better than what Teddy does
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 10:25 PM) Wouldn't it be funny with Bridgewater ends up having the type of season Barkley had?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) better athlete but never runs as well
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) stronger arm but rarely throws deep
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) I am trying to find this article, but Bridgewater had about the least amount of 40+ throws in college football
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:49 AM) I wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't viewed as highly next year. College players always get hyped up a year before the draft process. People change their opinions quickly.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 07:56 AM) I'll put a good amount of money that Bridgewater is still highly regarded coming out next year.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:00 AM) ok I found the chart
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:00 AM) Bridgewater had 0% of his passes go 40+ yards in college
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:02 AM) he could be, I'll wait though
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:02 AM) I doubt Smith will be as bad as Clausen anyways
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:03 AM) I remember watching Clausen in a NFL game and the guy couldn't even throw a spiral.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:03 AM) Geno has been impressing teammates with how well he can spin the ball and sling it.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 08:31 AM) I hope Geno turns out to be a f***ing monster
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 10:52 AM) andrew luck was hyped up for like 3 years before he entered teh draft
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:34 AM) tehhhh
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:37 AM) it wasn't for 3 years and Andrew Luck is the best QB prospect to come out in years. Teddy Bridgewater most likely isn't Luck or RGIII

Nnamdi Asomugha is struggling. He certainly hasn’t been great in coverage (particularly for a guy who signed a humongous five-year, $60 million deal this offseason), and his tackling has suffered.

But he’s also struggling with his adjustment to a new time zone and with living in a different part of the country, and you have to wonder if that’s the reason Asomugha is missing tackles and allowing more receivers to beat him for catches? Could be.

"Here, things aren't as familiar," Asomugha said, via CSN Bay Area. "The biggest reason is because when I got here, we went straight into football. I didn't get here in March, so I didn't have months to get acclimated. It's the end of September and I'm still getting acclimated to the area and just using my down time to familiarize myself with the East Coast and with football out here."

CSN Philly has another explanation. 1) Asomugha is playing in a completely new defense, which features more zone coverage than Asomugha’s comfort zone of man to man, and it takes some time for him to adjust, particularly with the lockout shortening the offseason; 2) Eagles defensive coordinator Juan Castillo hasn’t figured out how to use Asomugha, Asante Samuel and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in an effective manner.

But some of the blame has to fall on Asomugha. Like, for instance, when he was badly beaten by Giants receiver Victor Cruz last Sunday.

“You are paying (Asomugha) millions of dollars to make this play,” NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger told CSN Philly. “The Eagles have bracket coverage with the safety on the other side, but it is Nnamdi’s play.

“He should be looking for the ball but he’s not. Cruz is looking for the ball. His head is up, his eyes are up. Nnamdi should see that and realize, ‘The ball’s in the air,’ but he doesn’t react fast enough.

“By the time he looks up, Cruz has position on him and is going for the ball. But still there is no way Nnamdi should let him catch it. You’ve got to strip it, knock it out of his hands. He lets (Cruz) take it away. It’s a nice play (by Cruz) but come on. This is Nnamdi Asomugha.”

Yes, but it’s a Nnamdi Asomugha who clearly is out of sorts in his new location and in his new defense.

The talent is there, he'll come around. While Jets fans maybe happy that Aso didn't end up here based on the way he is playing right now, nothing better can be said about Cro either. They are both struggling.

Hes not better than Revis if he can't play zone. Nnamdi would have been a better fit here but he chose his fate of being exposed. The Eagles were overrated to begin with, their DC never coached defense before in the NFL.

Every other free agent had the same loss of time due to the lockout. Time zone switch!? Bitch please...that only works when fly cross coast for a game...not for a season.

lets give Cro a break they are going after him because of Revis and I like Cro's attitude and I am willing to bet Cro will be making plays for us as soon as the defense as a whole figure out how to assist Cro to make teams pay. I think it is going to happen. "THE CROW'S NEST & REVIS ISLAND" I think that Fits.

Cro's numbers are double that os Aso's. Cro had one bad week. Aso's had 3. You be the judge.

The whole getting used to football on the East Coast excuse? I could've sworn its the same game no matter what coast you play it on.

Good point. So that would lead us to ask Aso why is it that Cro didn't suffer a huge drop off but instead IMPROVED on his play on the East Coast last year?

I'm glad we didn't get him. Mainly for cap reasons but also because I think there would be problems between him and Revis. Maybe it is just me but I think they would hate each other. Especially with the media analyzing both of them if they were on the same team.

He went to Philly because he thought, like the Raiders, no one will throw on him.

He knew if he was here with Revis, he would be getting thrown out.

So now they ARE throwing at him, he's being shown as human.

I wanted him on this team in the offseason, but I had told my friends I believe he was a bit over rated. Not in the sense that he isn't a good player, but more so for the fact that he isn't near the talent revis is. Oakland lined him up on teams number 2 wide receivers and used their other corners and safetys to double up on the teams number 1. Nnamdi also wasn't asked to follow any given player around, rather he just played on his side. He has never / isn't capable of doing what revis has done with the jets. I do think Aso will turn things around and prove he's a top 5 CB, but in the long run...it might have turned out to be a good thing that Nnamdi didn't want to play here.
