HarlemHxC814 Icon : (28 August 2014 - 10:21 PM) Yeah this game means nothing...except to Stephen Hill (who fumbled lol) and 115
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (28 August 2014 - 10:23 PM) Hill is a bum, hes pretty much never shown much football skill. The Jets fucked up big time taking him over Alshon Jeffery.
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (28 August 2014 - 10:29 PM) I'm still pissed off about that
ROBJETS Icon : (28 August 2014 - 10:43 PM) Its not that Im worried about the preseason game itself. i could care less about that. Its the fact of how bad we got destroyed. And some of the guys will be on the team and others on the fringe so getting destroyed like that doesnt fill me with confidence
ROBJETS Icon : (28 August 2014 - 10:44 PM) It would be one thing if it was just the second half or 4th quarter but this was the whole game. especially getting destroyed in the 1st quarter and at least part of the 2nd where a lot of the guys will be on the team
ROBJETS Icon : (28 August 2014 - 10:48 PM) 2nd and 3rd stringers making the team had something to prove and even our 2nd stringers got owned so yes Im very concerned. The first stringers need breaks and also if some of them get injured they need to step up. So no after this performance start to finish Im very concerned
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (29 August 2014 - 06:39 AM) Meh...you're reading too much into it
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (29 August 2014 - 06:40 AM) Even in seasons where the Jets blew, I haven't seen anyone refer to the preseason to complain. Ever.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (29 August 2014 - 09:15 AM) fire izdik http://theredzone.or...rs/Default.aspx
Jetsman05 Icon : (29 August 2014 - 11:17 AM) I picture Rob and 115 as real life friends
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (29 August 2014 - 04:01 PM) Holmes can still play, problem is that hes also a cancer. He wore out his welcome with the Jets
ganggreen2003 Icon : (29 August 2014 - 08:23 PM) did Hill get cut?
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (29 August 2014 - 09:00 PM) Haven't seen anything yet
MikeGangGree... Icon : (29 August 2014 - 09:06 PM) Whos ready for the season!!? WOOOOO
azjetfan Icon : (30 August 2014 - 11:54 AM) Hill has been cut
MikeGangGree... Icon : (30 August 2014 - 01:24 PM) Who wants to take bets he ends up in NE
ROBJETS Icon : (30 August 2014 - 02:18 PM) We'll I guess you guys are fools then in thinking im a fool for being concerned. Do any of you even know that in 2013 the Jets gave up the most passing yards in the franchise since 1986? And our secondary right now is worse than last year right now. To not be concerned is utterly foolish.
ROBJETS Icon : (30 August 2014 - 02:19 PM) Unless our d-line has a monstrous year odds are the team will be eaten up in the pass. Every team will game plan to exploit the pass this year.
ROBJETS Icon : (30 August 2014 - 02:56 PM) Patterson got cut
flood555 Icon : (30 August 2014 - 03:24 PM) Patterson must have been a huge cancer to get cut
flood555 Icon : (30 August 2014 - 03:26 PM) is there a midseason draft? we need a DB!
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (30 August 2014 - 03:58 PM) Our week 1 starting CBs will be Antonio Allen and Darrin Walls... wow
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (30 August 2014 - 03:58 PM) interesting that Simms and Boyd were released
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (30 August 2014 - 04:00 PM) No more McIntyre
ROBJETS Icon : (30 August 2014 - 05:20 PM) Pretty sure some of these cuts like Simms and McIntyre were made for removing some more cap space to try to find some decent corners and maybe another reliable wr. Possibly get some players cheap. I'd say the current 53 roster will change a good bit in the next week.
ROBJETS Icon : (30 August 2014 - 05:23 PM) I just hope Geno doesn't get hurt or we are horse f*cked. Vick sure as hell can't stay healthy for a full season. I guess the FO could also be think of picking up an old vet cut as 3rd qb. Simms is ok but I'd never trust him to win a regular season game if he was put in.
ROBJETS Icon : (30 August 2014 - 05:25 PM) Anyway it's going yo be an interesting week.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (30 August 2014 - 10:18 PM) I doubt it was about freeing up money, considering we are way under. Like more than $20 mil, way more than enough to find some vet minimum CB
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (30 August 2014 - 10:19 PM) it's more about the roster numbers. McIntyre was replaced by rookies. IK showed flashes when he played
bleedsgreen Icon : (Yesterday, 08:34 AM) McIntyre is a shock to me he was a solid backup and made some big plays
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:44 PM) 1 week till we are 1-0
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:44 PM) we need to annihilate the GAYders
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 05:28 PM) We claimed McFadden from the Browns. Knows the system should be able to contribute right away
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 05:29 PM) Watching the Browns game now. Playing all three CB spots. Looks OK. A little grabby although he has not been called for it
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 05:30 PM) Might be a little aggressive and get burnt over top
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:26 PM) FIRE IDZIK
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 06:58 AM) ^^^ agreed
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 12:25 PM) all the admins on this page should be fired
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 12:25 PM) for being assclowns
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 04:17 PM) The Jets are fucked at CB, signing some bums now. We need Milliner to get healthy
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 04:20 PM) We have signed CB Phillip Adams
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 05:55 PM) The Gayders are playing Derek Carr against the JETS
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Today, 05:55 PM) our D Line better put him in a WORLD OF PAIN
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 06:11 PM) Rookie QB in our house...Rex do your thing!!

SAN ANTONIO (Reuters) - Texas law enforcement officials say several Mexican drug cartels are luring youngsters as young as 11 to work in their smuggling operations.

Steven McCraw, director of the Texas Department of Public Safety, told Reuters the drug gangs have a chilling name for the young Texans lured into their operations.

"They call them 'the expendables,'" he said.

McCraw said his investigators have evidence six Mexican drug gangs -- including the violent Zetas -- have "command and control centers" in Texas actively recruiting children for their operations, attracting them with what appears to be "easy money" for doing simple tasks.

"Cartels would pay kids $50 just for them to move a vehicle from one position to another position, which allows the cartel to keep it under surveillance to see if law enforcement has it under surveillance," he said.

"Of course, once you're hooked up with them, there's consequences."

McCraw said 25 minors have been arrested in one Texas border county alone in the past year for running drugs, acting as lookouts, or doing other work for organized Mexican drug gangs. The cartels are now fanning out, he said, and have operations in all major Texas cities.

This month, "we made an arrest of a 12-year-old boy who was in a stolen pickup truck with 800 pounds of marijuana," he said. "So they do recruit our kids."

McCraw says the state of Texas is joining a program initiated by U.S. Customs and Border Protection called "Operation Detour," in which law enforcement officers meet with children and their parents in schools and at community centers to warn them about the dangers of what appears to be the easy money the Mexican drug gangs offer.

Law enforcement officers say children are less likely to be suspects than adults, are easily manipulated by relatively small sums of money, and face less severe penalties than adults if arrested.

Last month, Texas officials released a report indicating Mexico-based drug gangs are intent on creating a "sanitary zone" on the U.S. side of the Rio Grande, and are "intimidating landowners" in south Texas into allowing them to use their property as "permanent bases" for drug smuggling activity.

Its nice to know our children are being called expedable

I would not say French, Iranian, Italian ECT... are ours either. But when American Children are being targeted to smuggle drugs into the US and being called disposable there is a problem. Time to secure the border. Bringthe troops home and put them @ the border. They wont have jobs if they come back now.

Does it honestly matter what race or nationality they are? I believe the point of the article is to show how badly we need border security. The people sending anyone into our country illegally need to be executed just like the Americans helping them and harboring them also need to be executed. No arrests. No trials. On the spot executions. Men. Women. Children (those old enough to know what they're doing is illegal). Doesn't make a difference to me. Call me cruel. Call me mean or heartless or whatever you'd like but it would send a clear message. As for the "international response" of shock, etc.....two words. f*** 'em.

Just to be clear I do not value American childrens lives over anyother nationality. I just think you should take care of you own first. You have to have your priorities in line.

And your ideas to stop it are what? Just give in to the corrupt and violent? Or do you want more "diplomatic" solutions by our worthless president giving them free reign as he's been doing? That's really solved the issue hasn't it? At least my suggestion actually has merit where it would deter the scum from doing it in the first place if they know they'll be killed if they're caught. Your solution is what? Continue to do nothing? Or continue to waste american tax dollars by spending tens of thousands on deportation hearings only to have them return in a week IF they dont get granted asylum. sorry. That's been happening for decades and hasn't done a damn thing to stop the influx. Start killing people and you WILL see a decrease. Why are some of you sooooo against killing the people that are killing our people?

If those children came from families where the parent's weren't working for $40/day, they might not have an incentive to join drug cartels. Send them to college.

Have them come to this country LEGALLY & I won't have a problem with sending them to college. BUT.....obviously they must apply for permanent residency/citizenship in order to qualify for aid as one of the requirements for a student visa is that they have the funds to pay for their classes.

Do you expect us to educate the entire world for free? That's essentially what you're saying we should do. Educate every man, woman and child that cannot afford it themselves. Thinking about it on that large scale do you see how ridiculous of an idea that is? Let's have the American taxpayers educate everyone that wants it just because they can't afford it and because they come from a third world country.

And by the way......that $40 per day is worth 40 X's 13.33. Don't forget that so the $40 that you refer to is worth 533.20 pesos per day as of the current exchange rate. Costs are MUCH lower in Mexico in case you didn't know. Even when I was in the resort town of Playa del Carmen, things were cheap as hell. I was able to stay in a 4 star resort all inclusive for 8 days 7 nights with round trip airfare for $500. Trust me....while many do live in squalor there.......we have many living the same here. Why can't we take care of our own before taking care of everyone else? Do you realize how many military veterans are homeless and go hungry on a daily basis here in the US? There were at one time more than 400,000 homeless veterans. Thankfully that numbr has now dropped to approximately 135,000 today but there are another 1.5 MILLION in danger of becoming homeless due to poverty, lack of support networks, and dismal living conditions in overcrowded or substandard housing.

Do you realize that only eight percent of the general population can claim veteran status, but nearly one-fifth of the homeless population are veterans.

Here's a quote for you.....

"veterans are far more likely to be homeless than non-veterans and part of it is because we're not providing services to them as they transition out of the service,"

"Part of it is because there is just not enough affordable housing," he added.

Can you guess who said that? You may just be surprized. (For those that don't want to look it up........it was our president himself while he was still a senator and on the campaign trail.)

Still think we should worry about the poor in other countries prior to our own? I would rather give free housing to each and every one of those homeless vets than pay for a single day of education for illegals. I'm sure those homeless vets would rather live once again in barracks type environments than on the streets if need be. I'm also willing to bet that we could build apartment complexes that could house each and every one of them for a cheaper price than it would cost to send the illegals to college for one year. Let's see....even at community college a full time (12 credits) education for in-county tuition is 4800 per year. Multiply that by 12 million. That's 57.6 BILLION dollars per year spent to educate the illegals that would be granted amnesty at a community college at today's rates. Do you really think the American public can afford that but can't afford to house the homeless of our own?

What is really scary is what will happen when we do end the war. We will have another Vietnam. We are at 10% unemployed and 20% underemployed now. Wait till we add all of the thousands of Military to the mix. We are fucked under this leadership and thought process.
