Mark Favre Chad Under Schotty By The Stats

Under Schotty 2006-
Chad ...a qb after two or three shoulder surgeries with an already weak arm and Favre.....a qb at the end of his career that came in right before the season started had one great year in his last three.
On top of that both Chad(his last two years with the Jets) and Favre played with a very bad offensive line.
Chad 2006 30 sacks(16 games)485 atmpts 64% com 6.9yards avr 82% rating 17tds 10 int 3352 yards
Chad 2007 26 sacks(9 games) 260 atmpts 68% com 6.8yards avr 86% rating 10 tds 9 int 1765 yards
really really bad for something like only 8 and 1/4 games to be sacked 26 times
Both years most amount of sacks in his career
Favre
2008 30 sacks(16 games) 522 atmpts 65% com 6.7yards avr 81% rating 22tds 22ints 3472 yards
Mark
2009 26 sacks (15 games) 364 atmpts 53% com 6.7yards avr 63% rating 12tds 20ints 2444 yards
2010 27 sacks (16 games) 507 atmpts 54% com 6.5yards avr 75% rating 17tds 9ints 3291 yards
2011 22 sacks (9 games) 298 atmpts 56% com 7.0yards avr 81% rating 14tds 9ints 2081 yards
Jets defense ranks 2006 20th
Jets defense ranks 2007 18th
Jets defense ranks 2008 16th
Jets defense ranks 2009 1st
Jets defense ranks 2010 3rd
Jets defense ranks 2011 8th
Jets rushing ranks 2006 20th
Jets rushing ranks 2007 19th
Jets rushing ranks 2008 9th
Jets rushing ranks 2009 1st
Jets rushing ranks 2010 4th
Jets rushing ranks 2011 24th
The down low.....
Mark much better defense all 3 years
Mark 2 of 3 years much better rushing
Mark better better oline for two years for sure (but Im pretty sure its all three years 2007 and 2008 the oline was very very bad, cant remember 2006 to well)
attmps are about the same except Marks comp % is much lower than league average or Favre and Chad under Schotty
yard average about the same for all three (surprising since Chad was a dink & dunk qb)
Not putting my opinion but stats wise Mark has done less with more
Chad started as the starting qb(1st time as starting qb) in his third year in the league and put up 22tds 6 ints 68% com 104% rating 22 sacks in 15 games (12 starting)
3120 yards.
Just put this up to show what a good qb should be doing. Chads problem was he was always getting hurt
Feel free to make excuses for Mark as usual.Stats don't lie.

We're running the ball virtually the same amount as that season, but getting a 3.7 YPC average as opposed to the 4.7 average that Thomas Jones and Leon Washington put together in 08, which is pretty significant too.

At first I was the only one to realize marks skills for what they were than there was s dubbs and now you have come way out of the closet lol. last week i think a few more guys are seeing what they don't want to believe Brunell must go lol . it will be interesting to say the least just who Tanny brings in to move Sanchez along or out.

The coaching during that 2008 season was bad all around. IDK why we had to keep Schotty.

sure miss having a qb with a NFL arm
Leave it to the Jets for Favre not to get a single 300 yard passing game. 3,400 yards for Favre is low. he had 4,100 and 4,200 yards around that season. 2 mvp type seasons with 2 teams, 1 mediocre season with the Jets...
Remember when Leon was here how much Schotty under utilized him? He just doesn't know how to use our guys, I see less talented WRs getting open in games but some reason ours can't. Schotty was a fresh breath of air in 2006, he did ok still mediocre run game and passing game but the team was terrible the year before so we crossed it off, but since then this offense just has not been ran smoothly. ITs not creative and its boring and frustrating. They can't just dump Sanchez, too much put into him to dump him after 3 years. Schotty has failed here enough to warrant not being brought back.

you damn right. also they need to start drafting playmakers at the skill positions so the team can score any where on the field.
12-16 play drives is too much for sanchez to stay perfect for 16 games. look at andre and calvin johnson. also adrian peterson and arian foster.
but what do we have... shonn greene who was always a risk of injury at iowa. slow plaxico. slow turner, slow kerley, slow LT, all small ball. then add a clueless O.C. and you have games like this.

thats a good point
even when leon and brad smith were around they would break games open purely on their talent. i don't have much faith in the current squad to do that. besides holmes catching a slant and taking it to the house... i can't really see another player on offense breaking a game open.

woo woooo

These offenses have to keep picking up yardage to work, and far(FAR) too much we aren't. There is a reason this team looks better when we pound the ball and PA...these are what accentuates our abilities. Greene runs well up the middle and that is it. Let him do it or get a new back. Don't run him off the edge. Mark plays better loose and with guys running routes that keep moving (rather than a timing based pass like a curl). We look better scrambling to come from behind because the receivers are in motion down the field and Mark can make something happen with his feet while they work to get open.
Schotty does nothing to work with his players. How many times (especially to start the season) was Greene running out of the shotgun at angles and off the edge? Did this work? No.
It is not mutually exclusive that Mark and Schotty are both rough. The difference is Schotty makes a lot less, didn't cost a high round pick to take, and hasn't shown an ability to coach. Mark has more "good" games in a season than Schotty does.

Exterminate all rational thought, that is the conclusion I have come to

This statement right here shows you it's Sanchez. This shows that Shotty does draw up plays to go downfield when he has a qb but he has to protect Sanchez. Why hasn't he with sanchez??? because you can't have faith in a guy to throw downfield when he can't hit a completely open tight end in the back of the endzone.

Are you stupid or something? What you said about the oline makes no sense at all.
Whether you are a Sanchez defender or not I can pretty much guarantee you that you are the only fan on the whole sight that would say Chad and Favre had a better oline under Schotty`s term.Especially with the stats staring you in the face.
For one thing stats a side you dont get first and third in the NFL in rushing and have a really bad line. Nor do you have 26 sacks in only 8.25 games and have a good oline. Most qbs dont have that many sacks in a whole season.
As off as you were with the statement about the online Im not even going to bother replying to the rest of what you said.
