Know who's overrated?
Darrelle Revis is overrated. Not surprising, considering he plays in the New York market and has an audacious head coach in the Jets' Rex Ryan. But Revis is not the NFL's best cornerback. You can't whiff on tackling a quarterback in crunchtime and prime time, as Revis did Thursday against Tim Tebow, and maintain claim as No. 1.
The Broncos' Champ Bailey would have not have missed the tackle. We can assume this because Bailey never misses tackles. Two former Broncos said it best.
When wide receiver Brandon Marshall was traded two years ago from the Broncos to Miami, he was asked about matching up with Revis twice a year. Marshall said he went up against Bailey every day in practice for four years. Far as Marshall was concerned, Bailey was better.
Then last year, former Broncos defensive coordinator Don "Wink" Martindale said about the upcoming game with the Jets: "They talk about 'Revis Island.' Well, Champ has his island too. It's called Honolulu."
As in Bailey has earned 10 Pro Bowl berths. "Earned," not given.

Yeah Revis' whiffed tackle against a guy way bigger than him got Tebow an extra 2-3 yards, really irrelevant on that drive as there were so many more issues. Eric Smith gave up the big plays that really lost the game.
