Jetsfan0099 Icon : (17 May 2013 - 04:53 PM) Sounds like it may not be as bad with Goodson. I could see him ending up with a 4 game suspension for possession, the gun charges probably going to the other guy.

Jetsfan115 Icon : (17 May 2013 - 05:49 PM) i'd order a steak from idzik but he'd just give me a hamburger and try to pass it off as steak and when i cought him in the act he'd gie me a million dollars to make up for it
Jetsman05 Icon : (17 May 2013 - 05:55 PM) awesome analogy, makes a ton of sense

If the Dolphins end up going with a younger coordinator, I fully expect Brian Schottenheimer to be among those to get strong consideration.

This guy can't be right in the head. Schotty is a guy who had to have Tom Moore come in and help him call plays. Jason thinks he can run a whole team? Don't get me wrong I would love for him to go to the Phins but in the famous words of Chris Carter "Come on man!"

lol, you ever think that shotty might only look as good as sanchez lets him...?

I for one would not like this move, he probably knows as good as anyone on how to play the jets.

I think...uhm...you realise that so far this year the Jets have:

1-brought in a consultant to work with Schotty
2-Ryan has stepped in to have him make adjustments
3-had the consultant take an increasingly notable role in the offense, including on-field participation during the week and being in the booth during games.

Congratulations, you are officially the last person not named Marty to think Schottenheimer does a good job.

It seems as though LaCanfora is reading from the list of supposedly up and coming coordinators from the past two offseasons still. As the NFL Network's Insider, you'd expect he would have at least noticed the heat Schottenheimer has been taking from the New York media and that his star has fell significantly this season. Either that or there is a dearth of offensive and defensive coordinators who are considered capable of stepping up to fill a HC vacancy. When Del Rio was fired by the Jags I remember watching a video segment on NFL.com with LaCanfora discussing potential replacements, and the only name mentioned other than their interim coach was Schottenheimer.

What has Adam Schefter been saying regarding the Dolphins and who they might look to?

I hate Schotty as much as most (not including you) but I would still like him to go outside the division. he has been here too long and would likely take a lot of strategic knowledge of us with him. Kansas city would be good!
If it came down to Miami or another season here, I will chip in for his ticket one way out of town!

What inside knowledge is Schotty going to give away?

"Third and five at their fifty...Schotty! What would you have done in this situation, what can we expect here?"

"I'd have two backs in to block and both receivers run two yard outs."

"Uhh?"

I dont see him going any where unless the offense does a total flop. Two AFC championship appearances and this year the Jets control their own destiny.

They arent going to get rid of an oc just because some fans hate him. The org has a better idea of whether Schotty or Mark or a combination of both is the problem.

If you guys want him gone that bad you should root for the Jets to have a few really bad seasons.
