Report: Jets fan badly beaten after game

A diehard New York Jets fan was savagely beaten on his own turf by a drunken gang of Kansas City Chiefs fans after their team was trounced Sunday -- with one of the assailants barking "F*ck New York" and "You all deserved what happened on 9/11," the victim's distraught family told the New York Post.
James Mohr, 23, a physical-education teacher at the Bronx Guild vocational high school, was wearing his Jets gear after the team's 37-10 victory as he walked through Parking Lot J at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., when a woman standing with a pack of men allegedly screamed the vile taunts, the Post reported.
Mohr took offense and told the rowdies their 9/11 insult was "disrespectful," his sister, Anna Mohr, 28, told the Post.
"Our other brother is a fireman, and my father is retired FDNY, so you can understand why a 9/11 comment would especially irk him," Anna said. "He was shocked anyone would actually say something like that."
Mohr, who lives in Auburndale, Queens, was walking alone from where a group of neighborhood friends had gathered in another part of the lot when he was jumped by up to seven people. At least one was wearing a Chiefs football jersey, a police source confirmed to the Post.
The lifelong Jet fan suffered a fractured jaw, cheekbone and eye socket, and also has bleeding on the brain.
Mohr underwent hours of surgery to repair the injuries Tuesday at New Jersey's Hackensack University Medical Center, where his family was keeping vigil.
"He's hanging in there and he's scheduled for surgery. We won't know too much until that's done," Anna Mohr said before surgery.
State troopers arrested one of the alleged attackers, a New Jersey man, on a simple assault charge, but a spokesman said the probe is continuing, the Post reported.
A stadium representative said, "This is an unacceptable attack on one of our guests and we have been working with the New Jersey State Police to make sure the man arrested is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

Fifteen years ago after an especially disappointing loss to Miami, Esiason, then the Jets' quarterback, was making the seven-mile drive from the Meadowlands back to Manhattan.
While he was slogging through stop-and-go traffic at the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel, the car next to him was violently rear-ended. The quarterback threw his car into park, hopped out and ran to the woman whose car had been hit. She was wearing, of all things, an Esiason jersey, and was utterly shocked when he tapped on her window to check on her.
"Are you OK?" he said, trying to keep calm. "Are you OK?"
"Boomer? Is that you?" she asked the Good Samaritan, sounding disoriented. "I think I'm OK, but . ... "
But what?
"But you guys sucked."
Welcome to the New York Jets, Tim Tebow.

It's a sad commentary that some groups of savages can't distinguish between a game and real life. They caught one of the assholes and I'm sure that will lead to the others being brought in as well. Yeah, cheer for your team but in the end it's only make-believe so keep your feet on the ground.
So their team lost on Sunday and they are going to wind up in court to boot...real smart.
I still remember that day...I was coming off a 12 hour nite shift and decided to turn on the TV instead of going to bed. I couldn't believe what I was witnessing...when I got to work that nite that's all the guys could talk about although a couple of them made one or two stupid comments about the attack.

They're not even from Kansas City.
Funny that someone from NJ would dare to make a comment like that. Go down to Times Square and start saying that to people and see how long you stay alive. Plus they were all piss drunk so no mystery as to why they were 'unreasonable.'

I am lead to believe that the 9/11 comments could not have come from a NJ resident.
At least not a NJ resident at the time of the attacks.
Just because they arrested 1 of the 7 from the group doesn't mean he was the one saying that shit. If he was, i hope he gets some time in prison for assault and for being a complete asshole

This made the news last night. When they gather up all these morons, they're going to throw the book at them. Not only are they going to be tried for assault, but the DA will try this as a "hate crime". They're fucked. Looks like KC lost about half their fan base.
