santana Icon : (18 December 2014 - 03:19 PM) holy shit thrilling match up tonight
2JBallar01 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 04:13 PM) Does it matter who wins tonight? Draft pick wise for the Jets?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 04:16 PM) Probably not. We probably want to draft above the Titans though if that is possible, they are a team that could use a QB. The Jaguars just drafted Blake Bortles, doubt they go first round QB 2 years in a row
santana Icon : (18 December 2014 - 04:29 PM) so titans win is best win
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 05:52 PM) DRAFT WINSTON
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 05:52 PM) FIRE IDZIK
2JBallar01 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 07:05 PM) I'm leaning towards wanting to draft Cooper or oline with the first pick. have a good line and or relceiver core and try and sign Bradford or trade for Cutler to play QB. And have Geno as back up for us.
2JBallar01 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 07:06 PM) Not sure if Winston can be a franchise QB. Even Mariota has question marks.
ganggreen2003 Icon : (18 December 2014 - 08:25 PM) That is why we need to draft Cooper at WR and then later in the draft go and get Petty
santana Icon : (18 December 2014 - 09:44 PM) clipboard jesus lead the way
santana Icon : (18 December 2014 - 09:48 PM) I miss leon
ROBJETS Icon : (18 December 2014 - 11:35 PM) If the Jets would have lost last week since the Jags won the Jets would have the 2 seed right now and not stuck at the 6 seed
ROBJETS Icon : (18 December 2014 - 11:36 PM) Oh well
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 11:21 AM) I think IK shows potential as a pass rusher
azjetfan Icon : (19 December 2014 - 12:50 PM) If the new HC goes to a 4-3 it will be interesting to see if Couples can play on the end.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 01:43 PM) he's probably better as a 4-3 DE then a 3-4 LBer anyway
Jetsfan115 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 01:43 PM) we'd need another DT though
santana Icon : (19 December 2014 - 02:12 PM) Rex to atlanta rumors swirling about
2JBallar01 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 03:35 PM) Who should be my 2 starters at WR for my fantasy. Championship game. It's between AJ Green, Djax, and Mike Evans. I have Hilton too but I think colts will sit him this week
2JBallar01 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 03:36 PM) I'm thinking Djax and Evans. I don't think the match up with green vs Denver
2JBallar01 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 03:37 PM) I have Ingram, Lamar Miller, and Lacy as my RBs and flex
santana Icon : (19 December 2014 - 03:41 PM) green and desean pretty much the same risk reward
santana Icon : (19 December 2014 - 03:41 PM) lock evans in and play the matchup for the other spot
santana Icon : (19 December 2014 - 03:41 PM) also might snow in denver mnf i would keep an eye on that
2JBallar01 Icon : (19 December 2014 - 04:48 PM) Good thinkin! I think I'm going to play djax. I like the match up better
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:09 PM) Atlanta would be a good landing spot for REx. He'll have Matt Ryan there so no need to develop a QB and he'll make the defense better
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:54 PM) He's not a good hc. He'll struggle anywhere.
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 06:07 PM) Idk. I bet if he had a good offensive supporting cast with established players he would do fine. He just can't develop players. It may be like the Gruden going to the Bucs but in reverse
azjetfan Icon : (Yesterday, 06:19 PM) The Redskins are In this game, I am rooting for them so we move up a spot in the draft
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:17 PM) if he goes anywhere he needs a quality QB. He can't develop a QB
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:18 PM) Manish wrote a article how the Jets have to hire Nick Caserio as their GM and Josh McDaniels as their HC
azjetfan Icon : (Today, 12:29 AM) Anything Manish writes is either garbage of stolen.

Despite Rex Ryanís defense of offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer Wednesday, there are many in New York that believe the team will make a change at offensive coordinator after the season.

Count Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com among that group.

ďRyanís response to the Schottenheimer job-security question was telling,Ē Cimini wrote. ďHe looked away, there was a nervous laugh, and he went on and on about how itís unfair to blame a coach ó except him.Ē

If Schottenheimer goes, offensive line coach Bill Callahan is a logical candidate to replace him. But itís possible Callahan could also choose to leave.

Cimini writes that Callahan has turned down multiple contract extension offers from the Jets, including recently. Callahan, whose contact is up, decided to keep his options open. (Perhaps so he could join old pal Jon Gruden somewhere.)

Itís not hard to look beneath Ryanís support of Shottenheimer and see frustration. The Jets dropped back to pass on 67 plays against the Giants. Thatís the most for any NFL team in a regulation game since 2008.

ďI donít see us throwing the ball 60 times ever again,Ē Ryan said. ďI donít think any of us could believe we threw it that many times. I know I canít.Ē

Then how did it happen? At halftime didn't it occur to Ryan to do something about it?

So IF Schitty is fired, Rex is going to have to find someone outside the organization? Hopefully this gets some new blood and ideas running through the organization.

First of all I doubt Norv will take an O.C job. It's like getting demoted. Plus is a pass first O.C. Rex wants old school ground and pound. Forget about Norv turner.

Interesting about Callahan, they wanted to resign him as an OL coach not an OC. Interesting. This tells me that 1. Callahan wants to look for an O.C job and 2. turns down OL coach extension because he wants to be Jets O.C. Something along those lines.

If Jets have offered him an extension being an OL coach then they must not view him as an O.C which might be a good thing.

2) He is an extreme Liberal. If you are on either extreme you are probabaly more wrong than right.
3) He is one of those people who will never admit fault, error or defeat.
4)His life sucks and he takes it out on people who don't share in his views.

This is like deja vu.

Turner is a run first coach. He uses the run to set up the deep pass. He's always done great when he's had a strong run attack. People just think he's an air it out guy because he's had Philip Rivers all these years and he coaches the Chargers which is the franchise that made "Air Coryell" famous. But the Chargers were at their best when they had LT, Turner, and/or Sproles. Now that they're all gone they suck, that's not a coincidence. He also coached Emmitt Smith early in his career along with Ricky Williams and Frank Gore. They all had some pretty good seasons with him. In fact Gore's best season (a Pro Bowl season) was the one season Turner was the 49ers OC. Turner being a air it out coach is a misconception.

Turner when he was an OC he had some of the top ranked rushing offenses. Also Norv has taken OC jobs after being an HC before (Cowboys OC, then Redskins HC, then Dolphins OC, Raiders HC then 49ers OC) so he's taken that demotion before so I doubt he'd have a problem being an OC again. Especially for a defensive minded HC like Rex is.

he only threw like 15 times in the 1ts half. i think he was 13 for 15 and a TD and like 120 yards. and we were dominating the game. we should have came out in the 2nd half and played exactly the same way we did in the 1st half. we were down 3 but thats becuase a missed FG and a luck 99 yard play by the giants. it should have been 10-3 us at teh half sitcking to the balanced offense would have been fine but he went pass crazy

if norv is the choice, then finally the jets may draft those big fast reciever types, and /or rb's. mcnight is not a viable back up. powell dances too much and doesn't hit the hole. rb. trent richardson can scare a def.

All I'm saying is the HC should have an idea that his OC is planning on throwing the ball 60+ times in a close game. And if that wasn't the plan, he should have stepped in and ripped Schotty's damn headphones off.

You are wrong there. Sanchez threw 28 times in the first half. I actually looked up what the record for pass attempts in a game is because of that.

then in that case i take it back. maybe the giants D just adjusted to what we were doing and our offense didn't as usual. anyway if we would have won nobody would have cared how many times we threw

Please that was just media pregame hype more than anything else. All that was, was something ESPN could use to fill up a segment of airtime NFL Live and their other shows. It's not like it was Belicheat and Mangini in their first game after Spygate. Rex's comments were more of an insult to the Jets players than it was towards Norv Turner IMO. I really doubt a grown man who's been in the league as long as Turner has been is going to be as butt hurt over those comments like the media and some others would have you believe. I don't see Turner declining a paycheck after getting fired all because of some statement Rex Ryan made before a game. I really doubt Turner was all that upset over those comments, if at all. He's shown no indication that he was upset over what Rex said. Even after Rex beat his team yet again.
