If you ever watched the America's game on the Jets in 68', the same kind of thing was done with Namath. Namath was named Captain in hopes that he would gain a sense of responsibility and that worked rather well, so dont kill rex for making Holmes a captain just cus he had a troubled past because it's worked before and Holmes hasn't started any problems until this season. So dont be so quick to kill Rex because it did not work out well.

Ive done the same thing with players on my team, and if thats what Rex did, so be it, but its not. He straight up said in his presser today he didnt think about it much and doesnt really beleive in those things. He put no thought into his choices. He made a mistake. He admitted it during the presser. Rex will very seldomly admit when he makes mistakes. He didnt make an excuse. Dont make one for him
