Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:55 PM) Teammates talking shut about Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:11 PM) In case you haven't heard, because why would anyone report on the Giants, Nicks is also holding out
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:11 PM) That makes both Cruz and Nicks.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:11 PM) But who cares, Sanchez threw 3 "interceptions"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 02:59 PM) ?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 02:59 PM) why would we give a f*** about the Giants?
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 03:04 PM) gg03 jimmies are riled
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) You're not in NY. All the backpages are focused on Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) None of the NY media even mention Cruz or Nicks
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:40 PM) nicks isn't holding out. he's injured still and taking it easy. cruz is holding out. why it isn't a big ordeal IDK. it would be for us
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) maybe because theyre not that far off.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) Cruz wants to return back, they'll figure it out.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) 3 mil a year off or 30% less then cruz wants. tahst alot of money to be off
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) cruz doens't want to leave NY cause teh extra money he'll get in endorsements plus he knows taht they can RFA him this year and then Franchise next year so he might not be able to get a LTD for 3 years
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 05:21 PM) Clemens11/Tebow15 (soon to be Smith7) said if we had just drafted Crabtree and Nicks and kept Clemens, we'd be good.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) No, he can't be Smith7
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) his name is reserved for garbage QBs, we don't want Geno to be bad
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) He can be McElroy14
extmenace Icon : (Yesterday, 06:51 PM) we're taking bridgewater next year with the number 1 pick and treating geno like a jimmy clausen.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:53 PM) What makes Bridgewater better than Geno?
HurricaneJet32 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:12 PM) everything
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:56 PM) ^
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:16 PM) college players always get hyped up before the draft process, just wondering what makes him so much better.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) Stronger arm, plays in a pro system, better throwing motion, better athlete
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) there's probably nothing Geno does right now that's better than what Teddy does
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 10:25 PM) Wouldn't it be funny with Bridgewater ends up having the type of season Barkley had?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) better athlete but never runs as well
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) stronger arm but rarely throws deep
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) I am trying to find this article, but Bridgewater had about the least amount of 40+ throws in college football
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:49 AM) I wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't viewed as highly next year. College players always get hyped up a year before the draft process. People change their opinions quickly.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 07:56 AM) I'll put a good amount of money that Bridgewater is still highly regarded coming out next year.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:00 AM) ok I found the chart
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:00 AM) Bridgewater had 0% of his passes go 40+ yards in college
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:02 AM) he could be, I'll wait though
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:02 AM) I doubt Smith will be as bad as Clausen anyways
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:03 AM) I remember watching Clausen in a NFL game and the guy couldn't even throw a spiral.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:03 AM) Geno has been impressing teammates with how well he can spin the ball and sling it.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 08:31 AM) I hope Geno turns out to be a f***ing monster
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 10:52 AM) andrew luck was hyped up for like 3 years before he entered teh draft
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:34 AM) tehhhh
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:37 AM) it wasn't for 3 years and Andrew Luck is the best QB prospect to come out in years. Teddy Bridgewater most likely isn't Luck or RGIII
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:40 AM) I've only seen Bridgewater play once. That was against Florida, I actually watched that game.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 12:12 PM) Teddy will be a good NFL QB I think

Rookie QB Greg McElroy says there was a 'corrupt mindset' in Jets locker room with 'extremely selfish individuals' this season BY MANISH MEHTA

http://www.nydailyne...oom-with-extrem

Two days after Rex Ryan admitted that he didn’t have his finger on the pulse of the Jets this season, rookie quarterback Greg McElroy revealed a toxic attitude that permeated the lockerroom.

“It’s definitely not a fun place to be,” McElroy told an Alabama radio station on Wednesday. “I can assure you.”

McElroy, who was placed on Injured Reserve due to a thumb injury, reiterated the vibe that several players talked about on Monday.

“It’s the first time I’ve ever been around extremely selfish individuals,” said McElroy, who was a seventh round pick out of Alabama. “I think that’s maybe the nature of the NFL. But there were people within our lockerroom that didn’t care whether we won or loss… as long as they got their… they really had a good game individually. And that’s the disappointing thing."

"It’s going to take a lot to kind of come together next year," he added. "I think the fact that we struggled at times this year really led to a really corrupt mindset within the lockerroom. But I think we’re going to regroup and I know that we’ll be a better team because of the trials and tribulations this year.”

On Monday, one player told the Daily News that “this place is a zoo.”

Bickering between Santonio Holmes and several teammates in Sunday’s season-ending loss to the Dolphins took center stage as the Jets missed the playoffs for the first time since Rex Ryan took over in 2009.

Rex is losing this team. There is a 3rd string QB who spent the year on IR ripping the team right now. WTF Rex? Fix this. NOW.

Hes speaking the truth, all Rex needs to do is get rid of these cancers and get back to being about the team.

much easier said than done. I mean we don't have a single team leader right now, and there doesn't seem to be any players with good character that will be FA's.

Man everything is getting out to the media from inside the locker room. That is not good.

McElroy isn't ripping the team he's making an observation that someone overheard.

This really isn't good guys.

Things must have been bad if our third string QB - a player you'd expect to tow the line as their job is never secure - is speaking out against his teammates.

As long as Rex and co get things under control, it could be a positive thing that a number of guys are speaking out about the locker room issues. Nobody likes getting criticised by their peers, so those who such remarks are about will hopefully get into line.

I hope players wanting to play for the JETS and REX isn't a thing of the past. Some FA's might not want to deal with this train wreck.

I was going to say something like " Our third string QB has better leadership skills than our starter" But then I realized that is not true. If he was talking on a radio station like that..... Can't be good. I am suprised they kept all the BS quite so long.

Backup quarterback Greg McElroy told an Alabama radio station Wednesday that trying to fit wide receiver Derrick Mason into the offense set it back, then hurt it even further after Mason was traded.

“Early in the season, we had signed Derrick Mason and we had him for about the first five weeks, give or take,” McElroy told 97.3 The Zone. “And we tried to go to like an 11-set, a three wide receiver set, one tight end, one running back, and that’s just not the strength of what (Brian) Schottenheimer can call.

“After we kind of cut ties with that experiment, for (Weeks) 2-3, and we were just kind of battling every week from there on out, and I think we never really got in much of a groove. We just never really had much of an offensive identity.”

After a Week 4 loss to the Ravens, Mason was publicly critical of the offense. Despite Rex Ryan’s prediction that Mason would catch 90 passes, he barely played in the following game against the Patriots was traded to the Texans two days later.

McElroy said Schottenheimer did his best to adapt, but the offense finished ranked 27th in the NFL.

“He’s an absolutely tireless worker, he works incredibly hard, but I think next year I think he realizes also we just need to do more from an offensive perspective and kind of develop that mindset and develop what kind of offense we want to be,” McElroy said of Schottenheimer, whom Rex Ryan said he expects back.

“You can’t just change philosophies midway through the season. I think that hurt us

Relax guys. These things happen on winning teams too, it's just masked because the team is winning. I really doubt Santonio suddenly became a prima donna WR this year. All this shit starts to come to light on teams that start losing. If the team were 12-4 with a bye week this week, we wouldn't be hearing about any of this.

I agree winning solves all problems and we are hearing this stuff because of our disappointing season. I also believe that McElroy may be a better QB than Sanchez given the playing time to prove it - which he wont. This kid led Alabama to a National Championship and looked very good in the pre-season. I would love to see the Jets give him a chance.

It is possible for Sanchez to right his ship but I don't think so. He has happy feet and he continually throws behind his receivers - a recipe for interceptions.

I also think Shotty has to go. Look at it this way. Either Shotty calls the most conservative game plan ever because he doesn't believe Sanchez has the skills to execute a better one or he has no imagination. Either one sucks for us. But since they aren't going to get rid of Sanchez, then we are better off mentally with new blood and a new game plan.

But I really believe McElroy should back him up and if he ever got the chance, become a more effective starter.

Hopefully another TC away from everything will help bring this team back together. Rex needs to step up, be a leader and tell everyone to STFU and do their jobs.

Come on now. EVERYONE isn't talking. David Harris, Kyle Wilson and Nick Mangold haven't been talking just to name a few.

It's only been a few days since the end of the season. If all this talking and junior high drama bullshit is still going on in March THEN I'll be worried. After the Super Bowl it'll be a new season for everybody. It'll be back to work.

Was that supposed to be sarcasm? because too many people are talking. Maybe not the whole 53 man roster but enough to warrant some serious attention.

That doesn't bother you? End of the season and the locker room is going crazy and Harris nor Mangold have yet to say something. They are the veteran leaders and Jets by draft. They should step in and stop this. It is their job.

That was overrated anyway. Who have we signed since Rex came to town? Scott, Leonhard, Maybin, Plaxico, Pool. We traded for most of the better players we didn't acquire through the draft. After three years I am tired of hearing this fake media hype about how players are going to flock to the Jets to play for Ryan. Basically we signed two notable players, the rest were guys that had big time issues (bust-label, prison, injury-related history).

Ryan laid it out when Holmes first went out in the media. To him, it was acceptable. You let the kids bring home one puppy they will bring home a new one every month.
