That doesn't bother you? End of the season and the locker room is going crazy and Harris nor Mangold have yet to say something. They are the veteran leaders and Jets by draft. They should step in and stop this. It is their job.
Nope. I'm not going to get all hysterical over stuff that happens on every team. Like I said winning cures/hides all the drama that happens on teams. Guys it's only been what 5 days since last Sunday's loss. The wounds are still fresh and they still hurt. It's like after you have a big fight with somebody you care about. Sometimes you need to get away from each other for a while before things can get better. Now what do you think you'd say if somebody put a microphone in your face in the days after that fight?
The players need time apart, they need to reflect on the failures of this past season, and most importantly they need to miss the game of football for a while. An early of season ending hopefully will be the motivation the players and coaches need to come back better next season. Now if all this leads to destructive behavior off the field then I'll be worried. But this is not the first time a team has had infighting and players bitching to the media. I've lived through being a Lakers fan through the Shaq-Kobe-Phil era. This stuff with the Jets is amateur hour compared to that. If we still have fighting and bitching during training camp (and all this drama will die down long before then) that's when it'll be time to worry the sky is falling. Watching the playoffs from their living rooms for the first time in the Rex Ryan era will be some good and much needed medicine for everybody, from Woody Johnson all the way down to us fans.
But worrying and crying about what happened in 2011 ain't going fix anything in 2012. They might as well accept it, try to fix it, and focus on the 2012 season from here forward. But they have to go through the motions first and that always takes time.
