With Al Davis' passing you'd have thought Oakland would stop making such head-scratching decisions, but no. Have they even hired a GM yet?! I read they were interested in somebody on the Packers staff to fill that role, but hadn't read about any hiring.

That explains things then. Will be interesting to see who they bring in. I doubt they'll enter the Jeff Fisher sweepstakes, so unless it's another guy with previous HC experience, it won't necessarily be an upgrade over Jackson.

Raiders hired Reggie McKenzie who was the Green Bay Packers Director of Football Operations.

From @HenryWoffordCSN:

Quote

Just talked to Hue Jackson, who said he was shocked his friend fired him. Reggie McKenzie told him, I want my own guys in here.

Hue Jackson said he's lost for words. He said "He's going to gut this place".

He Jackson had a poor relationship with the players, especially the receivers. He thought they may have cost him his job but was not the case

Hue Jackson so angry he could barely get his words out during our conversation. He said he can't believe his friend fired him.

What makes him even more upset, is that Hue said Reggie McKenzie did not feel what he was saying, coach said "He's going to gut this place."

Coach Hue Jackson said "He (Reggie McKenzie) wants to bring in his own guys. No job is safe right now."

I like that he helped develop Joe Flacco and Darren McFadden. But him working under Marty Schottenheimer and Paul Hackett does concern me. He might be too conservative. I wonder if he'd really be any change from what we currently have with Brian? I would hope he'd be more willing to play call to his players strengths and make better adjustments at halftime. Ultimately IMO it'll depend on how the front office fixes the OL this off season.

There are a few things I have realized about Mr. Jet over a few topics.

1) He is a racist. By constantly using race as a battling tool.
2) He is an extreme Liberal. If you are on either extreme you are probabaly more wrong than right.
3) He is one of those people who will never admit fault, error or defeat.
4)His life sucks and he takes it out on people who don't share in his views.

I don't like the fact that it was reported that after the season ended he was throwing his players under the bus...we already have that shit going on with the players throwing others under the bus we don't need a coach especially an OC doing that here....but if he's the last option then I guess we do what we got to do just not too thrilled IMO on having Hue as our OC if he's going to throw people under the bus...

I don't think Flacco or McFadden are anything to wahoo about. Flacco doesn't seem to have his coach's confidence and McFadden just started getting "good," but I'm not sold on him yet.
