Jets 0-2 vs bills this year. Does Rex Ryan survive the year?
ganggreen2003 Icon : (25 November 2014 - 10:50 PM) The JETS really sucked a fat one last night
ganggreen2003 Icon : (25 November 2014 - 11:34 PM) Man the JETS are a 3 ring circus or American Horror Story: FREAK SHOW!!!!
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:45 AM) Jets starting Geno again.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:45 AM) FIRE IDZIK,
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:45 AM) I really hope the JEts completely clean house this offseason and get rid of everyone, it's time.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:54 AM) We need to keep getting embarrassed every week to ensure that. That is why I don't give a shit about getting destroyed, it makes the team look like more of a joke and forces Woody to make real changes
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:55 AM) Like how do you get blown out by a team that didn't practice while you had 2 weeks to prepare?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:55 AM) That kind of stuff may force Woody to make the big changes and fire everyone
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:55 AM) John Idzik has handled the QB situation terribly. 2 times he pretty much handed the job to his draft pick
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:56 AM) Besides Sheldon Richardson, his drafts have been awful.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:57 AM) Maybe Woody will clean house and go all out for Jim Harbaugh, that probably won't happen though but it would be a franchise changer.
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:07 AM) Harbaugh would be amazing...but because it makes sense it won't be done
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:51 AM) According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, the Jets blocked coach Rex Ryan from talking to Mehta about a bye-week visit to his ailing father, legendary NFL defensive guru Buddy Ryan. Buddy, who rose to prominence as defensive coordinator of the ’85 Bears and then coached the Eagles and Cardinals, is battling cancer.
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:52 AM) Mehta interprets the muzzling of Rex Ryan as proof positive that, once the season ends, Ryan will no longer be the team’s head coach. Apparently, the team fears that Rex would become more sympathetic in the eyes of the fan base if he’s dumped by the team at a time when his father is fighting a serious illness.
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 11:05 AM) Mehta is an idiot
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 11:25 AM) If colt McCoy lights it up do the jets make a move?
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:27 AM) I don't even care what they do for a while
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:28 AM) The team is a catastrophe
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 11:29 AM) I didn't see the game
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 11:29 AM) I remember the first bills game though I'm guessing it was like that with more sleeping in the end zone
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:32 AM) I'm with 0099...I hope they keep getting destroyed
Chaos Icon : (Yesterday, 11:33 AM) it's a very Jets-esque move to sign McCoy if he does well
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:53 AM) I think they sign RGIII, Cutler, or Bradford
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 12:10 PM) why not all three
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:11 PM) Knowing this team, I wouldn't put that past them
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 02:07 PM) RAUL FOR QB

Report: Dolphins sights set on Peyton Manning

| More

A Dolphins team source emailed Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald that the team's priority at quarterback is Peyton Manning. This coincides with news out of Mobile, Ala., where the Senior Bowl is going to be played Saturday. A league source there tells Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald that the Dolphins have shown no interest in Matt Flynn as of yet -- not even informal interest.

Now, teams are not allowed to show formal interest in soon-to-be free agents at this time. But at those Senior Bowl practices, where agents and team personnel departments mingle on the sideline, it's common for preliminary signs of future interest to be displayed. In fact, it's almost expected.

That combined with the e-mail says the Dolphins will wait until there is a clear course of action on Manning -- when they know if he's going to be in Indy or on the market, when they know his health -- before they decide what other direction to take.

The idea of facing brady and maning for 25% of our season sucks

Ok I'm almost certain that Peyton WILL NOT come here or Miami.

Why he won't come to the Jets: It's a circus here, Sanchez Vs Holmes drama. Brady and Patriots in the division. It's just too much drama in N.Y for Peyton. Tanny could beg and sob for him he wouldn't.

Why he won't go to fish: The same reason Jeff Fisher didn't go. Their ownership is being ran by monkeys. Peyton isn't going to go anywhere where they don't have solid ownership and coaching. I think the Cardinals would be a logical landing spot. Good ownership and steady coaching.

I guarantee he won't come here or Miami. I'm almost certain. I think Jets fans should just forget about him period.

I don't see Peyton not coming because of Brady and the Patriots, I think he would love the opportunity to play against them twice a season. The Sanchez vs Holmes drama would be nullified if Peyton came here because Sanchez would be released, I think Peyton would put Holmes in his place and he will be happy because he will have a great QB throwing to him and will produce great numbers.

The Dolphins we better hope don't get him otherwise why even try? The Patriots and Dolphins both will clearly be above us.

You think we have a chance vs the Patriots with Brady and Dolphins with Manning?

We've beaten the Pats with Brady and the Colts with Manning, no?

Its not about beating them head to head, we might win a game vs them, but they are going to have better regular season records. The division would be impossible to win and it would be tough to make the playoffs, the Patriots go 14-2 to 13-3 every year, then the Dolphins would be around 12-4 to 15-1 with Manning.

Not worried about it.

We've got our own problems to worry about. The Dolphins were shit this year and we still didn't beat them twice nor did we make the playoffs.

Dolphins started off awful but they got better and were playing hard, their defense was really good and Moore was solid at QB for them. If Manning was their QB they are winning 12+ games.

Though their defense could drop off next year with Mike Nolan leaving them for the Falcons.

Still trying to figure out how Manning, in a new enviroment, new system, OUTDOORS and coming off missing a SEASON, is a shoo-in to win 12 games.

I don't buy it.

I'll leave it at that.

Wow.....for everyone so worried about Tom Brady & Peyton Manning both being in the same division as us, I have to ask you....when did you become Jets fans? Or did you forget that we all were in the same division at one time & we did finish ABOVE Peyton Manning in each of the years that Brady was in our division? I still think he'll wind up in Washington though. Hell....let him go to Miami & let us have the kid Miami's got now as our backup. I think he's got some potential honestly. Manning is too big a risk in my opinion.
I will not be forgotten. This is my time to shine. I've got the scars to prove it. Only the strong survive.

Really? You may want to look at his career numbers because they all look very similar. Other than his third year when he threw 33 TD's. He went 26, 26, 33, 26, and then stayed in the 20's for most of his carreer.

The NFL could save some money and just have QBs line up across from each other and play dodge ball with footballs or something. Too many people seem to think all that matter is that position as it is.

"This week, Tom Brady travels to Minnesota to test his ability on the 2 Minute Drill machine against Christian Ponder!"

I've been going back and forth with my boy (a huge Giants fan) on Facebook all week. He was telling me that the Jets or the 9ers are going to end up with Peyton. Yesterday I said "the most logical spot for him is Miami". And now today this pops up. Honestly, I'm not scared of Manning. He's a hit away from retirement.

I think that Miami is dumb as all hell for leaking this news. The Colts weren't going to eat his $20M roster bonus, they were most likely going to release him. Now? Now they're going to pay him because they know that S Ross is a desperate owner who needs to fill seats. Matt Moore played well enough that they're going to probably end up picking an OL and that's not going to draw many fans. Everyone knows that he'll gladly part with that pick plus some to get a marquee name for his club. The Fish are going to pay through the nose for a 2 year rental... behind that OL, he might not last 2 years.

There are a few things I have realized about Mr. Jet over a few topics.

1) He is a racist. By constantly using race as a battling tool.
2) He is an extreme Liberal. If you are on either extreme you are probabaly more wrong than right.
3) He is one of those people who will never admit fault, error or defeat.
4)His life sucks and he takes it out on people who don't share in his views.

From all reports, if and when the nerve heals he will be fine. The problem is there is noway to predict when it will heal, that is the issue why he hasn't played because it hasn't healed.

You will see, if Manning goes to Miami we will be battling for 3rd place.

Guys do you have any clue how serious his medical condition is? He should retire. I'm surprised he's letting this thing linger on. Take your seat upstairs with Irsay and you'll get your golden jacket in 5 years. Why the hell would he want to risk permanent nerve damage in his neck? Crazy.

I just posted this, reports say when the nerve heals he will be fine and can play football again. If hes cleared to play football by the doctors than he is fine, they aren't going to risk his life and he knows that the most important thing is his health. The issue has been that the nerve has not healed and they do not know when it will, its unpredictable.

And anyways Peyton doesn't get hit that much, he gets rid of the ball so fast and ducks down before he gets sacked.

For an example of his neck injury & surgery....see Ray Lucas. If you want to fear him, go for it, but to me, he is only human & will be playing scared if he ever even plays again which is HIGHLY doubtful at the moment.
