Jets are doing jets related things also... THE KNICKS.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:02 AM) he could be, I'll wait though
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:02 AM) I doubt Smith will be as bad as Clausen anyways
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:03 AM) I remember watching Clausen in a NFL game and the guy couldn't even throw a spiral.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:03 AM) Geno has been impressing teammates with how well he can spin the ball and sling it.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:31 AM) I hope Geno turns out to be a f***ing monster
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:52 AM) andrew luck was hyped up for like 3 years before he entered teh draft
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:34 AM) tehhhh
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:37 AM) it wasn't for 3 years and Andrew Luck is the best QB prospect to come out in years. Teddy Bridgewater most likely isn't Luck or RGIII
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:40 AM) I've only seen Bridgewater play once. That was against Florida, I actually watched that game.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:12 PM) Teddy will be a good NFL QB I think
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 12:52 PM) THE KNICKS
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:21 PM) THE. KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:43 PM) Geno was the favorite to win the Heisman this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) He was also a Top 5 pick this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) If he came out in 2012, he might have gotten drafted before RG3
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:56 PM) TEH KNICKS
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:25 PM) noway he would have been drafted before RGIII
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:00 PM) Tehhhh
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:12 PM) chuck norris said tebow is a great QB. i'm so conflicted becuase tebow sucks but on the other hand if chuck norris said it, it must be true lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) Geno was not the favorite to win the heisman going into the year lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) you don't watch college football, stop
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:23 PM) He might not even of been in the second tier of players
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) I've read a ton of articles and all had him as the favorite
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) Who was the favorite then?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) "Smith was already going to be on most Heisman preseason lists, but a 407-yard, 6-TD performance in the Orange Bowl win over Clemson only solidified him as an elite passer. He can make every throw on the field and has a plethora of talented receivers coming back. Since this team will likely be playing in the Big 12, which has had the uncanny knack for inflating quarterback numbers recently, Smith and head coach Dana Holgorsen are going to leave opposing defenses charred and crippled on most Saturdays."
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) That's from a Jan 2012 article
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) You can google shit from 14 months ago and find a f*** ton of these
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:29 PM) http://news.yahoo.com/top-10-heisman-trophy-candidates-2012-heading-season-150300441--ncaaf.html

SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:32 PM) He was 4th according to Vegas odds in April 2012
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) 4th makes him the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) you said he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) he wasn't anything near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) he reached his pinnacle in the heisman race in the early part of last season
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) at that point he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:56 PM) also, what a basketball game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) 4 point game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) maybe the pacers are that good
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) I said that his time last year, he was the favorite. I misspoke. He was 3rd or 4th. He certainly wasn't "not even in the 2nd tier" like you claimed
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Take your medicine Matty
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Maybe you should watch more college football instead of talking about watching college football
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:46 AM) No he wasn't 3rd or 4th
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:47 AM) He was the 4th favorite in vegas, making him no where near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:47 AM) Barkley had 3/2 odds, Geno was 9-1
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 06:48 AM) It's whatever

Peyton Manning has been medically cleared by two doctors, including Dr. Robert Watkins, who performed the most recent surgery on the Indianapolis Colts quarterback's neck, to resume his NFL career, sources told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen and ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Manning
The sources said Watkins examined Manning recently in Los Angeles and concluded the stability in his neck would have allowed the quarterback to play this Sunday if the nerves in his arm had regenerated to a satisfactory performance level.
Watson also instructed the quarterback to continue an aggressive rehabilitation path that provides an optimistic outlook for Manning to play in 2012. Watkins performed Manning's spinal fusion on Sept. 8, and on Dec. 1 declared that the fusion had achieved "firm fixation."

Watkins, according to the sources, joined Colts neurosurgeon Dr. Hank Feuer in clearing Manning to play. One source said that Feuer recently told Manning, "If you were my own son, I'd tell (you) to go play."

In addition to Manning's optimistic words expressed in an interview with ESPN on Tuesday, in which he indicated he plans to resume his playing career, the medical clearance by his two doctors, the sources said, will bolster his determination to play in 2012.

I wish this story would just die.

He's not coming here.
He's not coming here.
He's not coming here.

Even if he did we would be a shoe-in for a superbowl right? What would happen to this franchise if it ended up like the Favre fiasco? Yup, it would go down the sh*tter even more.

Why does it matter if it ended up like Favre again, don't you think Sanchez is a bum anyways? And I wouldn't think this would be a 1 year thing, he would be 36 next year as long as he can get his arm back into form he could have another 3+ years left in him. Seems like QBs can play at a high level in their late 30s still, he doesn't take many hits anyway since he understands protection schemes better than any QB in the game and gets rid of the ball so fast.

Good point on the "avoiding hits". Your right, he does do a lot of that but he might be the only QB that avoids getting hit as much as others, yet he's still has a serious neck injury.

It doesn't matter if it ended like Favre? Of course it matters. If you haven't noticed this team is the laughing stock of the league. We trade up, get Sanchez, Rex has already said he's going to back him till the end, then we flip flop and get Peyton and if we lose? The ramifications would be of epic proportions.

What do I want? Give Sanchez another go with Sparano. They will baby him even more, protect him with defense and a running game and give him every avenue to succeed. If he doesn't pan out then it's good-bye and we look back to the draft and get our own guy and start over. I want our own guy, that can be THE GUY for years to come. Not a 36 yo QB on the verge of living the rest of his life in a wheelchair.

Also, even if we win a superbowl with him... to me, it wouldn't seem totally right. It would seem like we bought a superbowl, or used someone else hand-me-down. That's just me .

After 40+ years of not being in a SB you would care how they get there? Rex said he backed Schottenheimer and hes gone, of course Rex is going to say he backs Sanchez. Reports say that Manning doesn't have anymore of a risk of serious injury from this surgery than he had before it, he played with a neck injury since 2006. I just don't see how people can shit on Sanchez and say hes holding the team back that is built to win now and not want Manning. On sportscenter insiders the other day they were talking about how Manning is not risking paralysis by playing, that isn't the issue here. He would not be cleared by doctors to play in the NFL if they felt he was going to ruin his life.

You can't see it? I see a desperate team willing to sell their mothers for a superbowl, I see a desperate team willing to do all kinds of outlandish crap to win one. I see a team perhaps adding Peyton then only to lose because quick fixes with the QB position rarely work.

Doctors have cleared him to play yes, but make no mistake. I'm sure they have went over with him the end result of serious whiplash or violent hit could leave him. I don't think he needs a doctor to tell him that.

When has a QB at the level of Peyton Manning went to a different team? Manning might be the best QB of all time, definitely one of the best. Right now its not a health issue anymore, its a performance issue.

It's always going to be a health issue 99. Whether he is medically cleared or not.

It's a money issue.

He's not signing here for free.

According to one source familiar with Manning's medical review, "It's not a safety issue; it's a performance issue." This source added that Manning is "making progress."

Well that's another thing. A very important thing that we haven't discussed yet.

Look there are just too many reasons Peyton isn't coming here.

Okay....for you Peyton lovers.....did you guys miss the statement from the unknown source claiming the doc saying "IF the nerves regenerated"? That doesn't sound like anything but a bunch of P.R. bullshit to me to try to make up for the Yahoo Sports article not even a week ago claiming he's going to have to retire. Get off the Peyton train already or else you're in for a long lonely ride to disappointment.
I will not be forgotten. This is my time to shine. I've got the scars to prove it. Only the strong survive.

When someone annoys u, it takes 42 muscles in ur face 2 frown. BUT, it only takes 4 muscles 2 extend ur arm & b!tch-slap that mother@*?!&! upside the head!!
