Hello. No disrespect intended, but if you actually do read this reply, I would like to hear your exlpanation on how, as a the GM of the Vikings, you could justify drafting qbs back to back years in the 1st round? You are going to give up on your franchise's qb after his 1st season in the NFL?

One more question, as a guy into video production, why do you have the little tab that zooms in on just part of every team's logo? For most of them it just makes random shapes and colors.

P.S. If the Jets draft a Richardson in the 1st round, or any rb in the 1st round for that matter, I will literally vomit.

None taken! If I were GM of the Vikings, I'd have to be real with myself and realize we made a mistake by drafting Ponder last season. WR/QB Joe Webb was shown to be a better (and more healthier) player than Ponder. And actually played with consistency. So, if I have a chance to upgrade with a very talented player in RG3 I'd draft him...especially with the rookie pay scale, it doesn't hurt me as much to take a QB. Hell, if I were Jacksonville I'd also consider trading up to get RG3.

You don't think you guys can upgrade the RB position? Remember Shonn Greene was drafted as a 25 year old rookie.

We have a ton of needs. With our first pick we can go OLB, WR, RT or RB. If Barron is there when we're picking, then he'll be hard to pass up too. I think that if both Upshaw and Ingram are off the board and Richardson is still there, we take him. This draft is supposedly jam packed with WRs and we've seen organizations like the Steelers strike gold multiple times with mid round WRs. There is a need for RT and even RG so depending on our draft board, we might go that way in the 1st. Either way, if Richardson falls to us, how do we NOT take him?

On the other hand, you look across the NFL landscape and the RB position has really lost it's luster. We currently have a bevvy of RBs and can use another powerful runner, but is it really worth the #1 overall? We can always pick up a veteran as insurance against Greene getting hurt.

I agree about Ponder, just think its difficult because then you might start looking like the Lions with their drafting of wr's. But then again, I think RG3 is the best qb in the draft so if you take him and it works out, it will silence critics. So fair enough.

And we can upgrade rb, but we have many other needs and RBs in the 1st round aren't panning out as well as they used to. Its more of a risk so I would rather take a wr, because I dont trust pass rushers either.

And cool, I mean its a nice effect, works great with the Jets, but with the Colts you get like a little nich of horseshoe.

There's a saying amongst NFL teams. Draft a QB every year, eventually you'll strike gold.

However I think taking a QB early isn't a wise idea. Sends a bad message to Ponder if Vikes see him as "the guy". If they do go this route then they should pick up a QB in the mids. 4-5-6 range.

However, if RG3 is there that could be hard to pass up. You just know he's going to be a sure fire lock on being a productive quarterback.

ponder and gabbert are back up qb.s at best. you take rg3 if available and you find a sucker that will give you picks in a trade for ponder. appearances are for the foolhardy at the expense of winning.

also, you definitely find you another rb. either t. rich if he drops or another playmaking rb. because s. greene is oft- injured and can't carry the team.this year i think they go def. 1st rd. anyway.
