Jetsfan115 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 03:33 PM) so i bet powell barely gets any touches this year and goodson gets cut
azjetfan Icon : (16 April 2014 - 03:34 PM) Goodson is as good as gone.
azjetfan Icon : (16 April 2014 - 03:34 PM) With all his legal issues and coming off injury he is done. Possibly even in the NFL
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 03:39 PM) Powell is average anyways.

Per source, Chris Johnson's two-year deal has a base value of $8 million, with another $1 million available in incentives based on yardage.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 03:40 PM) He does a lot of things well, but isn't talented enough. Johnson has breakaway ability still and Ivory is man beast running the football
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 03:41 PM) We will get another WR in the draft. Even in round 2 you can get a starting WR
azjetfan Icon : (16 April 2014 - 04:09 PM) I am still standing by my CB in the first round and WR in the second prediction
santana Icon : (16 April 2014 - 05:19 PM) The title race is bale
azjetfan Icon : (16 April 2014 - 05:34 PM) Sidney rice coming in for a visit
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 05:49 PM) I think the Jets are getting themselves ready to draft best player available
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 05:49 PM) Last year they stuck to their board
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 06:27 PM) if they sign him I think that means they look to take a CB round 1
2JBallar01 Icon : (16 April 2014 - 06:32 PM) “@AdamSchefter: RB Chris Johnson's 2-year deal with Jets has a team option in it for year two. Jets have option to pick up year two at $4M in February 2015.”

Sidney Rice has agreed to terms with the Seahawks on a one-year deal, per source.

Ryan Not Happy About Comments Backup QB Greg McElroy Made
Posted Image February 24th, 2012 Posted Image Matt Loede Posted Image Posted in News Jets coach Rex Ryan was asked how he felt about backup quarterback Greg McElroy’s offseason comments about a “corrupt mindset” in the Jets locker room and “extremely selfish individuals” on the team.

“I was angry about it,” Ryan said according to Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPNNewYork.com. “I never agreed with all the statements he made and things. You know, hey, the thing about our football team that separates, that maybe we are different than other teams is we are truly a transparent organization. You’re going to know a lot about the New York Jets in the great times but you’re also going to know a lot about us in the not so good times.”

“That’s just one man’s opinion,” Ryan added. “I’ll listen to everything. I don’t think it was the way it’s portrayed out there that we had a huge problem. There’s no question that we had some problems with some individuals. But we’re going to fix it.”

Hopefully they don't release McElroy due to these comments, that would be dumb. Its one thing to cut a guy because he sucks but to cut a guy that you think can play because he made some comments that he shouldn't have would not be wise.

When you encourage football players to run off at the mouth, you're going to get a few quotes that make you cringe for a variety of reasons. Suck it up Rex, you made the bed.

I'm with you. McElroy showed promise and the ability to possibly challenge for at least the #2 spot. I want to see what the kid brings. We need all of the weapons we can afford to keep and he is one of them. The Dolfags are going to make an instant improvement at QB if they have their way because they're going to be chasing for Flynn from Green Bay.
I will not be forgotten. This is my time to shine. I've got the scars to prove it. Only the strong survive.

When someone annoys u, it takes 42 muscles in ur face 2 frown. BUT, it only takes 4 muscles 2 extend ur arm & b!tch-slap that mother@*?!&! upside the head!!

I doubt they let him go for that - he's the only QB other than Sanchez that is set to be under contract and showed well enough in preseason to merit a place on the team. McElroy was good enough for the front office to decide to release Kevin O'Connell over him. And O'Connell was only then re-signed in September after McElroy went down for the season.
If the Jets are going to release players for saying anything controversial or divisive then the roster would be pretty bare after the last couple of months!

Rex should STFU and deal with it. After all he caused this. LT came out and said the same thing. LT is respectable guy in the league. He's not known to talk about a team like that. When LT speaks about it, pay attention. That means serious issues in the locker room. This is coming from a coach who cried after season in front of his team about how they need to become a team. Ryan is full $hit. Don't believe anything about him anymore. He's a fraud. He also tried to put the blame on schitty about how the offense complicated. The same offense that too you to 2 consecutive AFC title game. Now when things went south for sanchez and the jets its because the offense was complicated. 2012 wont be easy. Prepare to bitch and cry again. And that damn pepsi commercial is still playing and makes me sick.

Most likely McElroy wont be back. He wants to be in politcis and be the governor of Alabama. I say draft Cousins from Michigan st and bring a real veteran QB. Not some 45 year old back up who doesn't scare sanchez.

Dumb? Most coaches would have already cut him, or at least plan to do so. You don't allow a rookie 7th round draft pick to make comments like that. Any coach who values his lockerroom and team cuts McElroy. I would like to keep McElroy based on his playing skills, but for opening his mouth to the media like that he NEEDS to go. that can't be tolerated, otherwise the locker room will not be fixed and you will still have the same problems.

The only DUMB thing would be to keep him.

I respectfully disagree. Rex is the one who needs to STFU

Then you just disagree, because if you support this guys actions, you do not value respect, when it comes to how to act as a teammate.

Kid what is wrong with you? Seriously who the hell do you think youre talking to? You're really disrespectful and act all holier than thou like your opinion is the be all, end all to everything...newsflash, it isnt. Im not the first person to say this to you (by a long shot) and im certain I won't be the last. Watch how you talk to people, its unbelievably obnoxious and you aren't impressing anyone.

What makes it even more hilarious is that jetfan4life12 was trying to be nice and respectful to him. You just can't win for trying with him.
