Jets are doing jets related things also... THE KNICKS.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:49 AM) I wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't viewed as highly next year. College players always get hyped up a year before the draft process. People change their opinions quickly.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:56 AM) I'll put a good amount of money that Bridgewater is still highly regarded coming out next year.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:00 AM) ok I found the chart
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:00 AM) Bridgewater had 0% of his passes go 40+ yards in college
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:02 AM) he could be, I'll wait though
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:02 AM) I doubt Smith will be as bad as Clausen anyways
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:03 AM) I remember watching Clausen in a NFL game and the guy couldn't even throw a spiral.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:03 AM) Geno has been impressing teammates with how well he can spin the ball and sling it.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:31 AM) I hope Geno turns out to be a f***ing monster
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 10:52 AM) andrew luck was hyped up for like 3 years before he entered teh draft
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:34 AM) tehhhh
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:37 AM) it wasn't for 3 years and Andrew Luck is the best QB prospect to come out in years. Teddy Bridgewater most likely isn't Luck or RGIII
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 11:40 AM) I've only seen Bridgewater play once. That was against Florida, I actually watched that game.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:12 PM) Teddy will be a good NFL QB I think
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 12:52 PM) THE KNICKS
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:21 PM) THE. KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:43 PM) Geno was the favorite to win the Heisman this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) He was also a Top 5 pick this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:44 PM) If he came out in 2012, he might have gotten drafted before RG3
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:56 PM) TEH KNICKS
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:25 PM) noway he would have been drafted before RGIII
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:00 PM) Tehhhh
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:12 PM) chuck norris said tebow is a great QB. i'm so conflicted becuase tebow sucks but on the other hand if chuck norris said it, it must be true lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) Geno was not the favorite to win the heisman going into the year lol
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:21 PM) you don't watch college football, stop
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:23 PM) He might not even of been in the second tier of players
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) I've read a ton of articles and all had him as the favorite
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:25 PM) Who was the favorite then?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) "Smith was already going to be on most Heisman preseason lists, but a 407-yard, 6-TD performance in the Orange Bowl win over Clemson only solidified him as an elite passer. He can make every throw on the field and has a plethora of talented receivers coming back. Since this team will likely be playing in the Big 12, which has had the uncanny knack for inflating quarterback numbers recently, Smith and head coach Dana Holgorsen are going to leave opposing defenses charred and crippled on most Saturdays."
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) That's from a Jan 2012 article
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:27 PM) You can google shit from 14 months ago and find a f*** ton of these
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:29 PM) http://news.yahoo.com/top-10-heisman-trophy-candidates-2012-heading-season-150300441--ncaaf.html

SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 09:32 PM) He was 4th according to Vegas odds in April 2012
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) 4th makes him the favorite?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) you said he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:53 PM) he wasn't anything near the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) he reached his pinnacle in the heisman race in the early part of last season
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:54 PM) at that point he was the favorite
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 09:56 PM) also, what a basketball game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) 4 point game
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Yesterday, 10:21 PM) maybe the pacers are that good
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) I said that his time last year, he was the favorite. I misspoke. He was 3rd or 4th. He certainly wasn't "not even in the 2nd tier" like you claimed
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Take your medicine Matty
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:36 AM) Maybe you should watch more college football instead of talking about watching college football

Timeout.

Quote

Dr. Alveda King, niece of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., has disgraced her uncle’s name. During an interview with Fox’s Martha MacCallum, King expressed her disdain toward the attitude over the shooting of Trayvon Martin. She stressed that Martin’s family is grieving, and that the anger toward Zimmerman is riling Americans up. She has even gone so far as to say that Reverends Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson should stop “playing the race card.” And during her interview, she refers to Martin’s death as “a late abortion.”

And in the midst of their grieving, they don’t need a lot of anger and fear surrounding that. And certainly Trayvon Martin, a young man cut down in his prime – I would say because of my ministry ‘aborted late,’ a late abortion – now his dreams are dead.

She even goes on to equate women who abort with murderers when, interestingly enough, she’s terminated two pregnancies of her own.

And so we must answer this – not violently, not with rage, and not with anger and not by playing the race card – but like Mother Teresa said, ‘If you can abort a baby, you can kill anyone.’

Of course, this isn’t the first time King has drawn negative attention to herself. She has consistently defended her anti-abortion stances with outrageous claims including the statement that the late Rosa Parks was a symbol for the pro-life movement, despite the fact that she was on the Board of Advocates for Planned Parenthood. And she actually has a book titled How Can the Dream Survive If We Murder the Children?: ABORTION IS NOT A CIVIL RIGHT!

King has also come under fire for attacking the gay rights movement, saying, “The civil rights movement was born from the Bible. God hates homosexuality.” She even went so far as to compare gay marriage to genocide. Not one to avoid the spotlight, King spoke at Glenn Beck’s controversial “Restoring Honor” rally in 2010, claiming “Uncle Martin” would have been a supporter as well.

Another article saying the same thing but with less bias.

Quote

On Thursday, Dr. Alveda King, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s niece and director of African American outreach for the pro-life group Priests for Life, appeared on Fox News Channel’s America’s Newsroom with Martha MacCallum where she called the recently slain Trayvon Martin a “late abortion.”

King was reacting to a clip of MSNBC host Rev. Al Sharpton at a recent rally for Martin where he called for the immediate arrest of alleged shooter George Zimmerman. “Lock him up,” demanded Sharpton.

King, a conservative and pro-life activist, took issue with the tone of Sharpton’s rally. “I’m asking that we remember that Trayvon Martin’s family is grieving right now. And in the midst of their grieving, they don’t need a lot of anger and fear surrounding that. Certainly, Trayvon Martin – a young man cut down in his prime – I would say because of my ministry ‘aborted late.’ A late abortion.”

“America’s youth are now an endangered species,” said King. “And so we must answer this non-violently. Not with rage and not with anger. Not by playing the race card.”

“If my uncle, Dr. Martin Luther King were here today, or my dad, Dr. A.D. King, they would ask us to seek justice but to temper that with mercy,” said King. “I’m asking Rev. [Jesse] Jackson, Rev. Sharpton to remember Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. To remember non-violence.”

It's like that old saying. When you point your finger at someone else, you have three more pointing back at you. She should not be using the Trayvon Martin story as an excuse to advocate her personal beliefs on abortion. They are two totally different issues. If Jackson and Sharpton are playing the "race card" she's sure as hell playing the abortion card. I'd also wish she would stop speaking for her uncle. She was 4 years old during the Montgomery bus boycott, she was 14 years old when he marched in Selma. If anybody would know how Dr. King would feel on certain issues it would be people like Andy Young, Dorothy Cotton and Joseph Lowery. Alveda King is just as bad as Sharpton and Jackson, she's just on the other side of the aisle.

BTW when did Sharpton or Jackson advocate violence towards Zimmerman? All I've heard them say is he should be arrested. What is she talking about?

Thank you KevinB for that transparent and wonderful reply. I, as a white American, am PROUD to stand arm and arm with you in this fight against color. I'm so fed up with it. Its done nothing but cause continued separation between us brothers and sisters of America. Enough is enough!!

Best reponse in my eyes. Was this a racial issue? Maybe, Do we need to pour fuel on the fire? No. Unfortunatly there will always be racism from all angles, But everytime we allow a tradgety like this to fuel rasism we create more. Be mad at the person not the race.

Easier said than done. The only person from either family I've seen play "the race card" was Zimmerman's father in his interview. The only reason this is even a national story is because of race and we all know that. If both men were of the same race this thread wouldn't even be right here and nobody outside of that area of Florida would be talking about it.

This story needs to stop playing out in the court of public opinion and start playing out in a court of law.

I looked at some of the other articles on that website and I could feel my blood starting to boil from the headlines alone. So I wondered "where is all this bullshit coming from?" So I looked up The Daily Caller and who do I find out is the website's founder? None other than the often fired Tucker Carlson. The biggest prick in the world. No wonder Trayvon's tweets (along with photos of him flipping the bird) are a top featured story on that website. Talk about somebody playing the race card . Ain't that a bitch.
