I don't understand how Coples is a roll of the dice. He's a safe a pick as any.

Thanks you. Thats what i've ben saying. gholsotn was a workout warrior with no technique that got by on being bigger and stronger and faster. but he couldn't learn the OLB position for whatever reason and was too small to be a true DE. Coples is playing the same position he did on college. not changing like gholston tried to, he is bigger and stronger and just as fast and produced in college. he dominated the senior bowl too. the guy is a stud. he is built like pepper and JPP. JPP didn't even really played college. he played like half a year of juco. he had way more questions coming into the NFL and nobody quesitoned the pick.. No way coples is a bust. with him, pohua, and wilkerson on the line that should improve the pass rush. I don't think many LTs are gonna hold him 1 on 1.

What most impressed me about Coples is that he didn't get caught up in the UNC scandal. He actually saved his bar reciepts and was cleared of any wrongdoing. To me, that shows that getting to the NFL was a single-minded goal for him. He was aware of his surroundings, aware of the rules, always kept his wits about him and was smart enough to resist temptation. I dont care about his physical attributes, because at this level, all the guys are beasts but the way he kept his nose clean shows me that his biggest asset is between his ears.
