santana Icon : (Yesterday, 11:59 PM) yeah but hes white and a patriot
santana Icon : (Today, 12:00 AM) goodell is busy banning handbags from stadiums
santana Icon : (Today, 12:00 AM) this country is priming its self for a massive protest this handbag shit is retarded
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:01 AM) They are so f***ing stupid
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:01 AM) Like people need more reasons to stay at home for the game
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:02 AM) Honestly, at this point, the only way I'd go to an NFL game was A. Free tickets B. Tickets were close enough to the field that I felt like I could heckle a player and be heard
santana Icon : (Today, 12:02 AM) its not stupid its actually genius
santana Icon : (Today, 12:02 AM) the problem is i know for sure the evil genius behind it is dan snyder and other owners pushing for this shit
santana Icon : (Today, 12:02 AM) they want their new stadiums to inhale your money from the minute you enter its zipcode
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:03 AM) Genius in the sense that you force people to spend more money
santana Icon : (Today, 12:03 AM) right
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:03 AM) Baseball stadiums started doing this since right after 9/11
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:03 AM) I used to go to Mets games as a kid with a subway hero
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) Now I gotta drop $30 for a burger with fries
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) You know what I do? Not go to the fuckin games LOL
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) And it's not just me because the Mets suck, Yankees can't sell out anymore at all
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) Shit, even Mets vs Yankees wasn't sold out
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) That never happened in the 90s
santana Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) ghetto fries
santana Icon : (Today, 12:05 AM) whats amusing is at nationals stadium the staff is the worst
santana Icon : (Today, 12:05 AM) they don't give a shit
santana Icon : (Today, 12:05 AM) specially sunday morning
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) How so?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) Do they make you watch the Nationals?
santana Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) every time they handed me my food or what not then i had to go to the register to pay i just walked away because the queue was too long
santana Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) people running the registers just go super slow
santana Icon : (Today, 12:07 AM) no one there is in charge of making sure the customers are following the process
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:11 AM) Wait, you pay after you get your food?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:11 AM) How does that even work?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:11 AM) Everywhere you pay when you place your order
santana Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) well its decided getting some booze tomorrow afternoon and drinking every time i head lebron's head band referenced
santana Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) like i said the concession stands are a mess
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) You might die
santana Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) there were multiple people behind the counter
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) so you could just go up to it and ask for what you wanted and 1 out of the 5 people would be on a single register
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) so eventually you were just handed your food
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) expecting for someone to approach the register you were standing infront to charge you
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) or you were led to believe maybe you had to go line up to the one that had a cashier with people already waiting on it
santana Icon : (Today, 12:14 AM) so a lot of the times when i was just handed the food i requested i would stand there look around see them go back to being distracted on their boost mobile phones or whatever reason and walked away
santana Icon : (Today, 12:14 AM) i got 6 pretzels like this for the group i was with and 3 hot dogs
santana Icon : (Today, 12:15 AM) my ticket one time had like 5$ towards concessions or what not their scanner wasnt working at the register so it wasnt reading it right or she didnt know what she was doing. she tried to scan it 3 times then litterally just turned away so i was standing there asking if it was all good no one answered so i just walked away with the food
santana Icon : (Today, 12:18 AM) probably doesn't help that they are hiring people from one of the worst parts of dc
santana Icon : (Today, 12:19 AM) in fact all the stadiums in dc are in very low income areas probably to exploit this work force
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:31 AM) No stadiums are in low income areas because that's how they get municipal bonds to finance construction. "Look, we're giving black people jobs! Pay for our stadium!!!"
santana Icon : (Today, 12:32 AM) right

I'd like to counter his argument with this little point: The Bills are one hit away from starting Vince Young. Thanxkbye.

not to mention the dubious decision to draft a 4-3 defensive end to play in their 3-4 front (Quinton Coples)

This statement is as dumb as people blaming Gholston being a bust because he was converted to OLB. If Coples sucks, its his fault not the scheme. Rex will put him in position to rush the passer, the Jets play plenty of 4 man fronts and rarely are in a traditional 3-4. He played DT in college, so he knows how to take on double teams and how to create interior pressure.

The league tries hard to push the Bills-but only sort of hard because it isn't like they are GB (a small town team that does things right and wins). Adding one guy isn't going to turn them into a better team. Last year them signing Brad Smith got press like it was a real move.

The Bills aren't any good. Their QB is a career backup who can play pretty well at times but isn't someone who should be starting on a regular basis. They have a very solid RB and a receiver who is talented but mentally handicapped. If the Bills had a legitimate starting QB I'd be worried about them, but the team in general is nothing special.

when their run game was solid they were successful when that tapered off so did the team

if fred has a similar year and their defense with mario on board starts smashing qbs they could make some noise
but probably still come up very short for a playoff birth

You make it sound like we have a stable and reliable QB situation ourselves. Not saying they will be really good or not but I certainly think by adding Williams and Anderson and on paper a very solid draft, they sgould not be taken lightly. Everything plays out on the field but the Jet moves are curious at best. May turn out great but are a cause for wonder.

The Bills went 6-10 last year with two wins over playoff teams and something like eight losses to teams that didn't make the playoffs. They started the season 5-2 with one win over a playoff team and four over teams that didn't. During their 1-78 season ending crap spree they lost by less than a touchdown twice and their average margin of loss was more than two touchdowns. The Bills stunk last season and they are going to stink again this season. The Jets and Dolphins are far from perfect but the Bills will finish in fourth, again, because they have no actual talent and what is their is overrated too try and keep the small market team relevant.

I still think the bills and fins will both suck. our division isn't that good. the pats are still dominent as they have ben for the past 10 years but the fins and bills still suck. no reason we can't get at least a wild card spot. indy sucks now so houston will take that division. pats will take ours probably and the steelers ravens will btoh make it, denver will probably take their division so we have to fight the chargers for a 6th seed/ shouldn't be hard

Agreed. Fitzpatrick started out great but fizzled out completely during the second half of last season (it virtually coincided with him signing his new contract. For some reason the downturn in his form did not get half as much attention as when he was playing great. He is a good, serviceable QB, but nothing special. And with the OLine that will be in front of him this year - no Demetrius Bell - I can't see their offense taking the kind of huge leap forward that they needed; having Fred Jackson healthy the whole season would help them, but it's not as if he takes them from being a good offense to being great.
Defensively, signing Williams and drafting Gilmore made them better - with Mario next to Marcell Dareus they've got the makings of a stout D Line, but they've still got weaknesses elsewhere on that side of the ball, namely linebacker.
Saying that, it is no tonic to us because the AFC East is still very much the Pats' division. Like the Bills, we've made some strides this offseason towards getting better, but question marks still remain. We can challenge New England - we showed that during Rex's first two seasons in charge. But if either us - or the Bills - are going to challenge them for the division title, we're going to have to iron out the inconsistencies that remain.

We are better than the Dolphins, but they have a new coach who probably isn't going to be anything special and we have a HC I'm not particularly in love with and we have a lot of potential for locker room issues so I'm not sold on us being that much better than the Dolphins. If we were only two or three games better last season and we haven't separated ourselves from them that much, it wouldn't take a lot for them to post a better record this season.

However, the Bills shouldn't of even been 6-10 last year, so I don't see how they finish ahead of any team in the division.

we have more talent. we just lost the teamwork. if we can get that back we are a 10-12 win team easily. who does miami really have. plus remember they lost their starting QB and might be starting a rookie and their best WR (traded to chicago)

I haven't seen anything to suggest that we've "figured" anything out. Ryan is still boasting (only he isn't guaranteeing SBs), still giving out jobs and roles (really, Hill and Coples are already starters-maybe they could at least spend a week or two with the team before earning that), and Holmes sounds like the same idiot who did whatever he wanted all last year. And Tebow.

Hopefully we'll see a different team next year, but I'm not getting my hopes up that we are an "easy" 10 win team in a division that already has a top dog.

Anyway, every team has stuff to figure out every year. Good teams try to do it during the season, bad ones wait till the next year. What did we have to figure out last year? Offensive play calling, Sanchez, RT, pass rush and safety. How many of those did we address?
