After SHJ posted an intriguing article about the Jets offense, here's a great discussion about the possibility of the Jets using more 46 fronts next year.
If the Coples pick pans out, then the line with him, Pouha and Wilkerson is going to give us a huge amount of flexibility when it comes down to scheme on defense. Saying that though, Brooks makes an equally important point about the quality we have at CB allowing us to put eight men in the box and still feel relatively secure about neither Revis nor Cro getting beat often. Cro will get beat now and again, but with his aggressive (if not overly physical) style of play, that will occur in any scheme. He has a nose for the ball though - along with Revis - so throw in increased pressure on the QB and we should hopefully see more turnovers.

It doesn't look like we are playing a lot of great offenses next season, I see our defense being top 5. Especially with a offense that will turn it over less and one that tries to control the game.
I really hope Landry stays healthy and that Coples ends up being a stud. I am excited about this season.
The Jets used some 46 under Rex before, last season they weren't as aggressive on defense. It seems like Pettine likes being more conservative, with Rex being more involved I think they will attack more.

I don't like the idea of the Jets using more of that defense since we don't have the level of talent the Bears have and Cro is a bad matchup against certain receivers. However, we play a ton of games against garbage QBs next year.
Two games against Brady, then games against Roethlisburger and Rivers. Four games facing QBsd that are high quality then the next best is Matt Schuab and then probably Sam Bradford.
We'll, presumably, face Tannehill twice (rookie); Alex Smith (sucks); Luck (rookie); Matt Flynn (largely unknown); future-unemployed-Arizona-starter; Gabbert (horrible); whoever the Titans have out there; and a career backup in Fitzgerald.
Some of those teams are certainly halfway decent despite having mediocre or worse QBs, but if we can make it about forcing their QB play be an important factor in the game, we certainly put ourselves in position to win.

Exterminate all rational thought, that is the conclusion I have come to
