Jetsfan0099 Icon : (13 August 2016 - 12:09 PM) So 1 preseason game after being out for a while, you want to just dump him?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (13 August 2016 - 12:09 PM) His coverage wasn't even that bad, he was there just didn't make the plays. Allen Robinson is a stud too
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (13 August 2016 - 12:10 PM) Lets see how he does in future games, rather him make mistakes in a vanilla preseason game
RetireChrebet Icon : (13 August 2016 - 12:10 PM) It's hard for me to get excited about Forte. I have a feeling Bilal will have a breakout year. Likely do to increased workload and improved Oline
RetireChrebet Icon : (13 August 2016 - 12:11 PM) Due
ganggreen2003 Icon : (13 August 2016 - 12:15 PM) hell let's cut geno too
RetireChrebet Icon : (13 August 2016 - 12:16 PM) I agree. Trade Genome
RetireChrebet Icon : (13 August 2016 - 12:18 PM) trade Geno, take anything you can get for him, even if it's a 7th round pick. The future is Petty or Hack. If not draft another QB in a couple years.
ganggreen2003 Icon : (13 August 2016 - 12:21 PM) what team would want a QB who got suckerpunched by a 3rd stringer last year in training camp
azjetfan Icon : (13 August 2016 - 05:03 PM) The Cowboys may trade a player or a pick for Geno. With Romo being brittle and them having zero depth I could see them giving something.
azjetfan Icon : (13 August 2016 - 05:04 PM) I'm really not an anti Geno guy though. If he can mature he can play in this league. He has the physical talents but lacks the drive.
santana Icon : (13 August 2016 - 06:06 PM) I doubt anyone trades for geno
santana Icon : (13 August 2016 - 06:07 PM) jets would get like a 6th rounder for him his value would be better on the bench
Chaos Icon : (13 August 2016 - 06:25 PM) yes, yes, let's cut the former 9th overall pick because he had a poor preseason game and deal with a no good $4M cap hit.
Chaos Icon : (13 August 2016 - 06:26 PM) who would you sign to be #2? or do you seriously think petty is good for the job?
santana Icon : (13 August 2016 - 06:37 PM) the backup is always ready for the job is the jets fan mantra
santana Icon : (13 August 2016 - 06:46 PM) I need a backup
santana Icon : (13 August 2016 - 06:46 PM) WHERES MY BACKUP
vjdbbq Icon : (15 August 2016 - 07:52 AM) Would someone scratch bobrob42 ?
ROBJETS Icon : (16 August 2016 - 03:33 AM) Az..... Apparently you didn't watch the Cowboys preseason game. Romo didn't play and their current backup played a good bit with starters and backups and he looked great. Almost like a veteran. They would have 0 interest in trading for Geno now.
vjdbbq Icon : (16 August 2016 - 01:57 PM) ROB is back ; ,how's the ass ?
Chaos Icon : (18 August 2016 - 12:18 PM) we need 1 more for fantasy football!

MikeGangGree... Icon : (19 August 2016 - 07:06 PM) defense is playing like shit
MikeGangGree... Icon : (19 August 2016 - 09:00 PM) Geno still sucks
MikeGangGree... Icon : (19 August 2016 - 09:08 PM) Petty 9/15 120 yards and a TD
MikeGangGree... Icon : (19 August 2016 - 09:27 PM) Sudfeld sucks 2 fumbles
MikeGangGree... Icon : (19 August 2016 - 09:28 PM) petty had then in the red zone going for the go ahead score
MikeGangGree... Icon : (19 August 2016 - 09:31 PM) OK we at the wash 42
MikeGangGree... Icon : (19 August 2016 - 09:32 PM) WOOOO TD!!
MikeGangGree... Icon : (19 August 2016 - 09:32 PM) f*** you Geno. Lets keep Petty
MikeGangGree... Icon : (19 August 2016 - 09:40 PM) Petty 15/24 230 yards and 2 TDs
MikeGangGree... Icon : (19 August 2016 - 09:40 PM) Geno 6/13 1Int
MikeGangGree... Icon : (19 August 2016 - 09:46 PM) BOOOO we lose
santana Icon : (20 August 2016 - 09:29 AM) I was at the game and I thought fitz looked like crapola
vjdbbq Icon : (21 August 2016 - 01:01 PM) You were looking at GENO !!!!!!!!!!!
santana Icon : (21 August 2016 - 02:24 PM) you have a crush on geno don't you
santana Icon : (21 August 2016 - 02:24 PM) it's ok
ganggreen2003 Icon : (21 August 2016 - 07:10 PM) WTF is taking so long to cut geno and milliner
ganggreen2003 Icon : (21 August 2016 - 07:10 PM) they both are bums and need to go away
Chaos Icon : (22 August 2016 - 08:29 AM) it makes zero sense to cut them.
Chaos Icon : (22 August 2016 - 08:30 AM) this isn't fantasy. cutting players has an impact on the cap.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (22 August 2016 - 10:20 AM) becuase we need them

The Jets' scrutinized quarterback duo, Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow, had a so-so day in today's OTA session, the second open to the media.
Today's focus was the red zone and two-minute drill. Sanchez finished the day completing 7 of 14 passes during 11-on-11 team drills, in his 20 snaps. He was 3-for-7 in a two-minute drive that started out promising but came up empty. Sanchez completed his first three passes of the hurry-up drive, then spiked the ball, but the drive stalled after a penalty. Sanchez's final three passes were incomplete, ending with a low pass to running back Joe McKnight in the end zone, which McKnight couldn't hang on to as he tumbled to the turf.
Tebow was 1-of-4 in eight snaps of 11-on-11 team drills. He did not do two-minute work. Greg McElroy ran the second-team offense during the two-minute period. His lone completion was a highlight -- a deep pass down the sideline for about 50 yards to rookie Stephen Hill.
Both Sanchez and Tebow threw a touchdown -- Sanchez to tight end Dustin Keller, and Tebow to Hill -- in 7-on-7 red-zone work.

Tebow did not take part in any of the special-team drills on the field this week. Last week, he was used as the personal protector on the punt team, but the Jets practiced their punt returns this week. Kyle Wilson and Dexter Jackson were the returners.
First-round pick Quinton Coples had a strong day. He had a pressure on Sanchez through the right side of the offensive line, and batted down one of Sanchez's passes in 11-on-11 drills. Safety Yeremiah Bell also recorded a "sack" of Sanchez.
WR Santonio Holmes is still excused as he is in Germany to visit American troops. CB Antonio Cromartie, who missed last week's OTA open to the media to be with his family, was back today. S LaRon Landry is still absent.
WR Jeremy Kerley sat out today as a precaution, after feeling tightness in his hamstring. Seventh-round pick Jordan White, who is still unsigned, was out this week and last because of a foot injury. LB David Harris (calf) returned to the field for team drills today. LG Matt Slauson (shoulder surgery) continues to sit out of team drills. Vlad Ducasse and Caleb Schlauderaff alternated series in his place.
Third-round pick Demario Davis, whom coach Rex Ryan has said he sees some attributes of Ray Lewis in, worked with the first-team sub defense during the two-minute drill.

- Neither Mark Sanchez or Tim Tebow had the best day throwing the ball. Sanchez repeatedly checked down and did not throw many deep balls. That may have been an objective in Thursday's practice. It's hard to know without being privy to the coaches' plan for the day. Tebow looked more decisive than last week but still had some poor decisions. Unofficially, I had Sanchez completing 7 of 14 passes during 11-on-11 drills. I had Tebow going 1-for-4.
- The star of the practice was first-round pick Quinton Coples. The defensive end was in the backfield repeatedly. He had a few nice pressures and batted down a Sanchez pass. It's hard to judge linemen without pads on, but Coples looks quick and he played both inside and outside on the line.
- The most entertaining portion of practice was the two-minute drill at the end. With 1:10 on the clock, Sanchez and the first-team offense got the ball at their own 45. They marched down the field to the 8, then a delay of game penalty moved them back to the 13. Sanchez had three straight incompletions as the defense won the battle. Joe McKnight nearly pulled in the final pass of the drill but couldn't make a tough catch off a wheel route. Interestingly, Greg McElroy handled the second-team offense in the two-minute drill, not Tebow.
- The catch of the day went to rookie Stephen Hill. Tebow threw a long pass down the sideline to Hill, who made a beautiful, twisting adjustment on the ball to come up with the long catch. Hill burned cornerback Kyle Wilson on the play.

Good to hear Coples looking impressive, still isn't in full pads though.

True but its not like he's never played in pads before. He has the potential to be a game changer at WR. I like our WR group this year alot better then last year.

holmes (same as last)
hill > 34YO plax
Kerly with a year exp
schillens > turner

I know turner might still be here but won't see the field much

talentwise he is, he needs to be more mature this season and be a leader and step up instead of pouting about his stats and giving up

I keep hearing about long passes to Hill. I like that.

If we hit big with this guy, our offense could be very good. I can't help the fact that the RT played so poorly last year (really everyone except Nick disappointed on some level) and we ignored the position ever since. The quality of the line play is as important as the quality of play of WR's, TE's, and RB's.

Wasn't Brick top 5 in sacks allowed last year?

I don't give a shit about that...we know he's tall and fast...we know he can catch deep passes. That's all he did in college. I want to see him run hitch routes, in's, going over the middle...finding soft spots in zones. That's what will make him great.
