The Jets have signed third-round pick Demario Davis to a four-year deal, according to a person with knowledge of the agreement. That person requested anonymity because the team has not yet announced the transaction.
Terms of the deal were not immediately available.
Davis, an inside linebacker, was selected No. 77 overall out of Arkansas State. Coach Rex Ryan said some of Davis' leadership attributes remind him of Ravens great Ray Lewis.
Davis could be a key contributor this year. In today's OTA practice, Davis worked with the first team sub defense. His speed (4.5 40-yard dash) and size (6-2, 239 pounds) could make him a candidate to cover opposing tight ends.

The Jets signed TE Tarren Lloyd (Utah) and waived T John Cullen (Utah).
Only the 7th round S remains unsigned.
