santana Icon : (Yesterday, 11:59 PM) yeah but hes white and a patriot
santana Icon : (Today, 12:00 AM) goodell is busy banning handbags from stadiums
santana Icon : (Today, 12:00 AM) this country is priming its self for a massive protest this handbag shit is retarded
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:01 AM) They are so f***ing stupid
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:01 AM) Like people need more reasons to stay at home for the game
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:02 AM) Honestly, at this point, the only way I'd go to an NFL game was A. Free tickets B. Tickets were close enough to the field that I felt like I could heckle a player and be heard
santana Icon : (Today, 12:02 AM) its not stupid its actually genius
santana Icon : (Today, 12:02 AM) the problem is i know for sure the evil genius behind it is dan snyder and other owners pushing for this shit
santana Icon : (Today, 12:02 AM) they want their new stadiums to inhale your money from the minute you enter its zipcode
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:03 AM) Genius in the sense that you force people to spend more money
santana Icon : (Today, 12:03 AM) right
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:03 AM) Baseball stadiums started doing this since right after 9/11
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:03 AM) I used to go to Mets games as a kid with a subway hero
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) Now I gotta drop $30 for a burger with fries
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) You know what I do? Not go to the fuckin games LOL
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) And it's not just me because the Mets suck, Yankees can't sell out anymore at all
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) Shit, even Mets vs Yankees wasn't sold out
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) That never happened in the 90s
santana Icon : (Today, 12:04 AM) ghetto fries
santana Icon : (Today, 12:05 AM) whats amusing is at nationals stadium the staff is the worst
santana Icon : (Today, 12:05 AM) they don't give a shit
santana Icon : (Today, 12:05 AM) specially sunday morning
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) How so?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) Do they make you watch the Nationals?
santana Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) every time they handed me my food or what not then i had to go to the register to pay i just walked away because the queue was too long
santana Icon : (Today, 12:06 AM) people running the registers just go super slow
santana Icon : (Today, 12:07 AM) no one there is in charge of making sure the customers are following the process
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:11 AM) Wait, you pay after you get your food?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:11 AM) How does that even work?
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:11 AM) Everywhere you pay when you place your order
santana Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) well its decided getting some booze tomorrow afternoon and drinking every time i head lebron's head band referenced
santana Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) like i said the concession stands are a mess
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) You might die
santana Icon : (Today, 12:12 AM) there were multiple people behind the counter
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) so you could just go up to it and ask for what you wanted and 1 out of the 5 people would be on a single register
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) so eventually you were just handed your food
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) expecting for someone to approach the register you were standing infront to charge you
santana Icon : (Today, 12:13 AM) or you were led to believe maybe you had to go line up to the one that had a cashier with people already waiting on it
santana Icon : (Today, 12:14 AM) so a lot of the times when i was just handed the food i requested i would stand there look around see them go back to being distracted on their boost mobile phones or whatever reason and walked away
santana Icon : (Today, 12:14 AM) i got 6 pretzels like this for the group i was with and 3 hot dogs
santana Icon : (Today, 12:15 AM) my ticket one time had like 5$ towards concessions or what not their scanner wasnt working at the register so it wasnt reading it right or she didnt know what she was doing. she tried to scan it 3 times then litterally just turned away so i was standing there asking if it was all good no one answered so i just walked away with the food
santana Icon : (Today, 12:18 AM) probably doesn't help that they are hiring people from one of the worst parts of dc
santana Icon : (Today, 12:19 AM) in fact all the stadiums in dc are in very low income areas probably to exploit this work force
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 12:31 AM) No stadiums are in low income areas because that's how they get municipal bonds to finance construction. "Look, we're giving black people jobs! Pay for our stadium!!!"
santana Icon : (Today, 12:32 AM) right

Jets scale back Quinton Coples workload

When the Jets drafted defensive end Quinton Coples with the 16th overall pick in April, he was immediately dubbed a starter by coach Rex Ryan.

With the first week of training camp in the books, the Jets have moved Coples out of the starting lineup. Defensive coordinator Mike Pettine said that the team will use him in pass rushing situations for the time being after seeing his play slow down as a result of how much he’s trying to learn on the fly.

“We’ll work it from back to front,” Pettine said, via Jenny Vrentas of the Newark Star-Ledger. “He’ll be a third-down guy, similar to [Aaron] Maybin. Get him out there in passing situations and then work him into the base defense. Let him be a back-up for the guys in base, but keep his plate small.”

The move isn’t being sold as a demotion, as Pettine said Coples could still play between 50 and 80 percent of the snaps depending on the opposition. The idea is to have him do comfortable things first and then start feeding him more challenging things as the year goes along. It’s a similar approach to the one they took with 2010 first-round pick Muhammad Wilkerson, who is currently starting at defensive end with Mike DeVito taking the spot once reserved for Coples.

If Coples can help the Jets pass rush improve on last season’s results, there won’t be any complaints about keeping him in that role. If he doesn’t, though, the pre-draft doubts that helped someone of his athletic gifts drop to the 16th pick will crop up again.
Fifteen years ago after an especially disappointing loss to Miami, Esiason, then the Jets' quarterback, was making the seven-mile drive from the Meadowlands back to Manhattan.
While he was slogging through stop-and-go traffic at the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel, the car next to him was violently rear-ended. The quarterback threw his car into park, hopped out and ran to the woman whose car had been hit. She was wearing, of all things, an Esiason jersey, and was utterly shocked when he tapped on her window to check on her.
"Are you OK?" he said, trying to keep calm. "Are you OK?"
"Boomer? Is that you?" she asked the Good Samaritan, sounding disoriented. "I think I'm OK, but . ... "
But what?
"But you guys sucked."
Welcome to the New York Jets, Tim Tebow.

its fine. we have devito and wilk. can't expect every rookie to play every down immediatly. JPP was cramping all through his 1st camp and only played situationally and look how good he has become.

All this means is they are taking him off of the base 3-4 defense, having Devito play that role instead. Sometimes its better to slow it down for a rookie, because when they have too much on their plate they can too tentative with thinking instead of just playing. If Coples can help our pass rush, I will be happy.

Quote

Right now, incumbent DE Mike DeVito is starting ahead of Coples in the 3-4 front. Coples is starting in the 4-3 and in the sub package.

"DeVito is a damn good football player -- he's had a lot of quality reps in this league -- and we're not going to push him to the bench because we drafted Q," Pettine said. "On our defense, you have to earn stuff. As the install got bigger, it got a little overwhelming for him. You could see the gears grinding a little bit."

So they decided to cut back his reps.

"He's almost relieved that more has been taken off his plate and he can play a little faster," Pettine said. "Q is where we expected him to be. We have a plan for him in place."

After drafting him in the first round, Rex Ryan said he expected Coples to start. But the Jets are a multiple-front defense, so the lineup will vary. Here's a look at the current depth chart, based on the different fronts:

• 3-4 Front -- DE DeVito, NT Sione Pouha, DE Muhammad Wilkerson

• 4-3 Front -- DE Coples, DT DeVito, DT Pouha, DE Wilkerson

• 4-man sub front -- DE Aaron Maybin, DT Coples, DT Wilkerson, DE Calvin Pace

Wow.

Seriously man, it seems like you never have a positive thing to say. You're some kind of super Jet troll, like a Camenzind junior...

I disagree. There is no harm or worry in this move.

JPP didn't start his first year either. I guess he's Gholston as well.

Cus i didnt praise the pick of Jordan White, unfortunately he got hurt, or say how i loved the trade for Tebow, or liked the Chaz Schielins signing. your right. never have anything positive to say.

if i have a bunch of negative things to say, its because there are a lot of negative happenings going on with the team. i don't play, coach, or manage the team so i can't take the blame for pointing out something i have no control over. I'm just venting which is healthy :)
