ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 PM) already back to doing what he did last season THROWING INT's
ganggreen2003 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:04 PM) sucks that Garrard retired but I'd rather suffer with Geno going through growing pains than keeping Sanchez under center in 2013
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 12:33 PM) haha gg03 throwing in the towel on sanch!
mgjetman Icon : (Yesterday, 01:37 PM) What a way to make sporrts center already, Mark......
mgjetman Icon : (Yesterday, 01:39 PM) Sanch owns the #1 blooper of all time with that butt fumble also and to make matters worse he threw it right to a friggin Pat...
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:53 PM) buttfumble on thanksgiving was the low point of his career
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 01:55 PM) Teammates talking shut about Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:11 PM) In case you haven't heard, because why would anyone report on the Giants, Nicks is also holding out
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:11 PM) That makes both Cruz and Nicks.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 02:11 PM) But who cares, Sanchez threw 3 "interceptions"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 02:59 PM) ?
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 02:59 PM) why would we give a f*** about the Giants?
santana Icon : (Yesterday, 03:04 PM) gg03 jimmies are riled
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) You're not in NY. All the backpages are focused on Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) None of the NY media even mention Cruz or Nicks
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:40 PM) nicks isn't holding out. he's injured still and taking it easy. cruz is holding out. why it isn't a big ordeal IDK. it would be for us
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) maybe because theyre not that far off.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) Cruz wants to return back, they'll figure it out.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) 3 mil a year off or 30% less then cruz wants. tahst alot of money to be off
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) cruz doens't want to leave NY cause teh extra money he'll get in endorsements plus he knows taht they can RFA him this year and then Franchise next year so he might not be able to get a LTD for 3 years
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 05:21 PM) Clemens11/Tebow15 (soon to be Smith7) said if we had just drafted Crabtree and Nicks and kept Clemens, we'd be good.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) No, he can't be Smith7
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) his name is reserved for garbage QBs, we don't want Geno to be bad
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) He can be McElroy14
extmenace Icon : (Yesterday, 06:51 PM) we're taking bridgewater next year with the number 1 pick and treating geno like a jimmy clausen.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:53 PM) What makes Bridgewater better than Geno?
HurricaneJet32 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:12 PM) everything
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:56 PM) ^
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:16 PM) college players always get hyped up before the draft process, just wondering what makes him so much better.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) Stronger arm, plays in a pro system, better throwing motion, better athlete
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) there's probably nothing Geno does right now that's better than what Teddy does
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 10:25 PM) Wouldn't it be funny with Bridgewater ends up having the type of season Barkley had?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) better athlete but never runs as well
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) stronger arm but rarely throws deep
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) I am trying to find this article, but Bridgewater had about the least amount of 40+ throws in college football
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:49 AM) I wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't viewed as highly next year. College players always get hyped up a year before the draft process. People change their opinions quickly.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 07:56 AM) I'll put a good amount of money that Bridgewater is still highly regarded coming out next year.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:00 AM) ok I found the chart
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:00 AM) Bridgewater had 0% of his passes go 40+ yards in college
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:02 AM) he could be, I'll wait though
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:02 AM) I doubt Smith will be as bad as Clausen anyways
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:03 AM) I remember watching Clausen in a NFL game and the guy couldn't even throw a spiral.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:03 AM) Geno has been impressing teammates with how well he can spin the ball and sling it.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 08:31 AM) I hope Geno turns out to be a f***ing monster
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 10:52 AM) andrew luck was hyped up for like 3 years before he entered teh draft

More Preseason Hype: Baldinger Calls Sparano Offense a Joke
By GEORGE BRETHERTON
Don’t count the NFL Network’s Brian Baldinger as a fan of the Jets’ changes on offense.

One day after President Obama chimed in on the state of the Jets quarterback situation, Baldinger tried to best him (or undercut him, depending on how you look at it).

In an interview on Friday with WEEI sports radio in Boston, Baldinger declared the Patriots as this season’s default winner of the A.F.C. East. While some will not consider those views controversial, Baldinger added some acidic comments about the Jets’ newly installed offense. He focused on Tony Sparano, the new coordinator, and Tim Tebow, who was acquired in a trade with Denver.

“I think Bill Belichick and the Patriots, privately, were like doing a little golf clap when they signed Tim Tebow and they signed Tony Sparano,” Baldinger said. “I don’t know what offense Tony Sparano is going to unleash, but I saw what he did in Miami, it was a joke.

“They started like every year at basically 0-6.”

Never mind that the Dolphins won the A.F.C. East in 2008 in Sparano’s first season as the Dolphins’ coach — we’ll get to the fact-checking part of Baldinger’s rant in a minute. Let’s continue as he moved on to target Tebow, dismissing him as less of a threat than Brad Smith, who ran the Jets’ Wildcat packages in 2009 and 2010 before he signed with Buffalo last year.

Baldinger said: “If you think you are just going to throw Tim Tebow on the field and you’re of going to surprise
people, you’re not going to surprise anybody. Brad Smith could give you an element of surprise when he was there. Brad Smith could line up at wide receiver and he was a legitimate threat.

“I don’t think anybody is going to fear Tim Tebow coming on the field and go, ‘Oh my God, what are we going to do in short yardage now with Tim Tebow?’ You know what you’re going to do. He’s not a good thrower. I don’t think he’s ever going to be a good thrower. He’s 260 pounds now.

“Fullbacks aren’t good passers, and that’s what Tim Tebow is.”

It is impossible to fact-check Baldinger’s crystal ball. That will have to wait. But we can put a spotlight on his statements regarding Sparano’s record in Miami and regarding Tebow.

1) The only season the Dolphins started 0-6 was in 2011, Sparano’s last in Miami.

2) In 2008, the Dolphins’ offense committed an N.F.L.-low 13 turnovers as Miami won 11 of its final 14 games to win the A.F.C. East. The 13 turnovers set the N.F.L. record for the fewest in a 16-game season (the Giants also committed 13 in 2008), which has since been broken. The new record is 10, set by New England in 2010 and equalled by San Francisco last season.

3) Baldinger seems to have forgotten the praise he heaped on Tebow for his play in the closing minutes of Denver’s 18-15 victory last season over Sparano’s Dolphins.

You can watch that clip here, courtesy of NFL.com

4) In two seasons in the N.F.L., Tebow has rushed for more yards (887 to 854) and more touchdowns (12 to 3) than Brad Smith has in six seasons.

Extra Point Perhaps one can dismiss Baldinger’s comments as merely an attempt at attention-seeking. Or do you think he (and President Obama) have a point?

After he said that I didn't take him seriously. Funny how at the end they show what he said was factually wrong.

Really!! Dan Henning did. I was waiting for someone to mention it.

Baldy is an asshat. All he does is talk out his a*s. I love the NFC/AFC playbook on NFLN but common man. Baldy is such an asshat.

It seems like NFLN was all Tebow crazy for like a month and then turned against the Jets when they did not fall apaert of give them a good story. Now Baldy and Heath Evans are just hating on the Jets. I am pretty much done with NFLN. Not to mention the new morning show is a joke. Mike and Mike kills it. I know we are not perfect nor should we be favored to win the AFC but when I hear them talk about the Jets its just hate.

Just your average shock-jock analysis, saying something controversial without much factual grounding. Baldinger can do way better than that.
