A ground and pound team needs someone to ground and pound. This makes too much sense. He would look good in Jets green and he would be a dynamo. The Jets have been missing that true beast at HB. This makes too much sense. If your QB's suck and your going to invest in the run game then then you might as well sell the farm and get a top 5 back in the fold.

Trade for him and do what? I get that the Jets are currently 6 million under the cap but the man wants to get PAID. It's not affordable. Keller is a free agent next year. Maybin is a free agent. Revis wants a new contract. Landry and Bell will be free agents next year. Moore is going to be a free agent. How do you expect the Jets to sign these guys without cap room? Additionally, if you want MJD, Jets need to give up picks. THE TEAM NEEDS THESE PICKS FOR DEPTH. I would love to have MJD but it's not happening. It makes ZERO sense for this move to be made. Fix the line, that will help everything.

I agree. It would be cool to see him in green but the $ and compensation will not let it happen. He is in his peak years right now and in 3 years there is a high chance he will no longer be elite. I would give Tebow and a conditional 2nd if we make the SB or a 4th.

really? you should tell that to marshawn lynch, cus he apparently defies rules so we need to tell him to calm it down and stop running through people with no great blockers in front of him because that's not supposed to happen.

Marshawn lynch doesn't get hit as soon as he gets the ball in the backfield. There are players in the backfield as soon as Greene gets the ball. Second preseason game we did a little bit better in the run game but still had plays where players are in the backfield and Greene can't get a head of steam to run through people or make any moves. Marshawn lynch isn't doing anything behind our line right. Even in his beastmode clip against the saints, you can see he gets to the line of scrimmage before anyone can touch him so he actually has some momentum. so like I said, if MJD comes here and people are in the backfield it won't matter that he's a great RB, he wont' get a chance to be great with people all over you before you can even make a move.

Greene was late to holes, go watch MJD play and you'll see how much better he is. These non-holes for Greene are big ones for MJD as he will slice and dice a defense, breaking tackles and outrunning defenders. Greene is slow, doesn't have great vision, and doesn't break many tackles.
