Rex Ryan announced that Wayne Hunter will not be the starter anymore, that he'll be the 6th man again. He said Howard has a chance to show something this weekend, but it also sounds like our starting RT isn't on the roster yet.

They played Slauson at RT in minicamp when Vlad was competing for the starting gig. I wonder id they think anyone else can play LG?

I wrote this when I came back from camp. Howard is going to fill in at RT and he'll be better than expected.

Fifteen years ago after an especially disappointing loss to Miami, Esiason, then the Jets' quarterback, was making the seven-mile drive from the Meadowlands back to Manhattan.
While he was slogging through stop-and-go traffic at the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel, the car next to him was violently rear-ended. The quarterback threw his car into park, hopped out and ran to the woman whose car had been hit. She was wearing, of all things, an Esiason jersey, and was utterly shocked when he tapped on her window to check on her.
"Are you OK?" he said, trying to keep calm. "Are you OK?"
"Boomer? Is that you?" she asked the Good Samaritan, sounding disoriented. "I think I'm OK, but . ... "

"But you guys sucked."

No, I think the Jets see how much of a liability Hunter is as the starting RT. Even Hunter has acknowledged how bad hes been and was waiting for his benching.
