Jets are doing jets related things also... THE KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) You're not in NY. All the backpages are focused on Sanchez
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 03:21 PM) None of the NY media even mention Cruz or Nicks
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 03:40 PM) nicks isn't holding out. he's injured still and taking it easy. cruz is holding out. why it isn't a big ordeal IDK. it would be for us
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) maybe because theyre not that far off.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:02 PM) Cruz wants to return back, they'll figure it out.
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) 3 mil a year off or 30% less then cruz wants. tahst alot of money to be off
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Yesterday, 04:41 PM) cruz doens't want to leave NY cause teh extra money he'll get in endorsements plus he knows taht they can RFA him this year and then Franchise next year so he might not be able to get a LTD for 3 years
Mr_Jet Icon : (Yesterday, 05:21 PM) Clemens11/Tebow15 (soon to be Smith7) said if we had just drafted Crabtree and Nicks and kept Clemens, we'd be good.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) No, he can't be Smith7
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) his name is reserved for garbage QBs, we don't want Geno to be bad
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:44 PM) He can be McElroy14
extmenace Icon : (Yesterday, 06:51 PM) we're taking bridgewater next year with the number 1 pick and treating geno like a jimmy clausen.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 06:53 PM) What makes Bridgewater better than Geno?
HurricaneJet32 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:12 PM) everything
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 07:56 PM) ^
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:16 PM) college players always get hyped up before the draft process, just wondering what makes him so much better.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) Stronger arm, plays in a pro system, better throwing motion, better athlete
Jetsman05 Icon : (Yesterday, 08:19 PM) there's probably nothing Geno does right now that's better than what Teddy does
SecondHandJets Icon : (Yesterday, 10:25 PM) Wouldn't it be funny with Bridgewater ends up having the type of season Barkley had?
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) better athlete but never runs as well
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) stronger arm but rarely throws deep
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:48 AM) I am trying to find this article, but Bridgewater had about the least amount of 40+ throws in college football
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 07:49 AM) I wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't viewed as highly next year. College players always get hyped up a year before the draft process. People change their opinions quickly.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 07:56 AM) I'll put a good amount of money that Bridgewater is still highly regarded coming out next year.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:00 AM) ok I found the chart
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:00 AM) Bridgewater had 0% of his passes go 40+ yards in college
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:02 AM) he could be, I'll wait though
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:02 AM) I doubt Smith will be as bad as Clausen anyways
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:03 AM) I remember watching Clausen in a NFL game and the guy couldn't even throw a spiral.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 08:03 AM) Geno has been impressing teammates with how well he can spin the ball and sling it.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 08:31 AM) I hope Geno turns out to be a f***ing monster
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 10:52 AM) andrew luck was hyped up for like 3 years before he entered teh draft
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 11:34 AM) tehhhh
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:37 AM) it wasn't for 3 years and Andrew Luck is the best QB prospect to come out in years. Teddy Bridgewater most likely isn't Luck or RGIII
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 11:40 AM) I've only seen Bridgewater play once. That was against Florida, I actually watched that game.
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 12:12 PM) Teddy will be a good NFL QB I think
MikeGangGree... Icon : (Today, 12:52 PM) THE KNICKS
Jetsman05 Icon : (Today, 01:21 PM) THE. KNICKS.
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:43 PM) Geno was the favorite to win the Heisman this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:44 PM) He was also a Top 5 pick this time last year
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:44 PM) If he came out in 2012, he might have gotten drafted before RG3
SecondHandJets Icon : (Today, 02:56 PM) TEH KNICKS
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (Today, 03:25 PM) noway he would have been drafted before RGIII
HarlemHxC814 Icon : (Today, 04:00 PM) Tehhhh
Jetsfan115 Icon : (Today, 04:12 PM) chuck norris said tebow is a great QB. i'm so conflicted becuase tebow sucks but on the other hand if chuck norris said it, it must be true lol

Am I the only one that is pissed about Ferguson`s performance??? Has no one else noticed how bad he has been???

Ferguson has been terrible in every preseason game. I mentioned it before preseason game 3 that Ferguson had been playing bad and after game 3 when Howard looked good Ferguson stood out like a sore thumb. He was either beat or pushed back into Sanchez almost on every pass play so its a huge problem.

He even failed to block on a couple of run plays. On one running play last night the defender ran around Ferguson`s left outside shoulder with Ferg barely laying a hand on him. The defender ran a complete circle around Ferguson to actually get his hands on the feet of Greene on an inside running play. Greene was far enough inside that the defender should never have been able to touch Greene.

Hunter has been much worse but if anyone goes back and looks at the first two preseason games Sanchez has been getting pressure from the left side on almost every play. Its only been overshadowed because Hunter has even been worse.
The point is We all wanted Hunter out but Ferguson was a pro-bowler and now looks like total shit which is even worse. Hunter was never more than a backup and the coaches thought he was more than he was which was a a bad call on their part but from pro-bowl caliber to looking like total shit is way worse.

He obviously put little or no work in during the off season. I hope the coaches see it as a problem in the game film.I wouldn't be bothered with it if it was a one game problem but Ferguson has been a huge problem every preseason game and literally on almost every passing play.I'm utterly amazed no one else here is calling him out.

It being preseason doesn't give him a pass and isn't an excuse. One missed block can get your qb put on IR. Its happened many times in preseason to starting qb`s.The way I see it with Howard playing well Ferguson is now the weak link on the line. He doesn't deserve to get game 4 off. His lard ass needs to play the whole game and get whipped into shape. And again if he hadn't been a pro-bowler I wouldn't be so livid but to go from a pro-bowler to shit in only a year or two is unthinkable. Its nothing but laziness.

I wish I was part of a major news media. Id definitely ream him bad in an article. He needs called out publicly to put him on the microscope.

He has not been terrible in every preseason game, I haven't rewatched last nights game but I did rewatch him vs the Giants and he played a good game, besides letting up a coverage sack. But for the most part he was playing good and it was Wayne Hunter and the TEs getting destroyed.

I didn't rewatch him vs the Bengals, but I know that 1 sack people blamed him for was the TE Cumberland getting beat.

The media said he had a noticeable limp after last nights game, but he said he was fine.

I noticed in camp that he looks very skinny for an OL. I'd be shocked if he was over 290lbs.

He's been on a serious decline this year and last. Don't know whats up. Maybe he's losing a love for the game.

I may try to re-watch the first two preseason games. You could be right. It may not have been Brick missing all those blocks on the left side during the first two games. Truthfully it was hard to focus in on anyone else but Hunter because he looked like he was a high school or college lineman getting beat by an NFL all-pro. We were all focusing on Hunter. Maybe Woody was missing some too.

That said I do distinctly remember that Sanchez also had pressure on the left side of the line on almost every pass play. He wasn't getting hit every time or sacked every time from the left side because Hunter`s side was like it was a free rush so the right side of the rush almost always got their first.

With all that I do remember Brick missing some blocks in the first two games even though I wasn't focusing on him and also someone else on the forum had pointed out that Brick was also missing blocks.

Like I said I want to review those games again to see for sure who was missing their blocks on the left side. All that a side Ferguson was absolutely horrible in the 3rd game. To deny that is delusion. It was easy to focus in on Brick because Howard was doing a great job which is really amazing considering the Panthers strong side is the left side of their defense(our right side). The only one on the line getting consistently beat or pushed back in game three was Brick and anyone who didn't notice it should watch the game again and focus in on Ferguson.

And again even when Brick wasn't totally beat he was being pushed back into Sanchez. I cant stress this enough that this shouldn't be happening to a recent former Pro-bowl lineman. It causes stress to Sanchez seeing the lineman pushed into him and he cant focus on the throw as well or the receivers. That is a problem Ducasse has. When Ducasse isn't beat he is getting pushed back. Brick shouldn't have that problem.Brick being a pro-bowler should be able to hold his ground at the line 9 out 10 times unless hes is facing a beast. But Brick was getting beat or pushed back by everyone he was blocking. This means he is lacking strength somewhere(probably in his legs).

Whether you guys want to admit it or not this is a problem because Brick should not be getting pushed back like that. No pro-bowler should in most situations. Pro-bowlers mean the elite and Brick sure as hell has not been elite or anywhere close to it.

As Ive said before I like reviewing games more than once to catch things I missed during the game since I can focus in on each individuals job. I'm sure you pricks remember ragging me when I called it game film last year.I just like to do it to get an unbiased view of the players and their mechanics which you cant do very well during the game because you are all pumped up and focusing on the ball mostly. Watching the game again after its been decided gives you a chance to focus on what everyone is and isn't doing. While it may not be actual game film it is interesting to do it if you are in to analyzing the game within the game.

Anyway hopefully some others here will also review the first two games. It shouldn't really take long since the 1st team offense wasn't in that much.

Brick had a foot injury last season that really didn't get much attention from the media, they slightly mentioned it towards the end of the season.

We need a good blocking TE, Josh Baker was making some nice blocks yesterday but unfortunately for him he blew out his knee from a cheap shot. Cumberland sucks and Keller can't block well either. I'm hoping they can pick up a guy like they did in 2009 with Ben Hartsock.
