Jetsfan0099 Icon : (19 February 2015 - 12:28 PM) Reports say Jets to go hard after CJ Spiller. Bring him aboard, he'll be a good signing. Was a stud in Chan's offense and RBs don't cost much
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (20 February 2015 - 12:09 PM) Saw that the Bills are meeting with Spiller and may sign him before FA.
Jetsfan0099 Icon : (20 February 2015 - 12:10 PM) if that happens, I think the Jets should go after Shane Vereen. Nice pass catching option out of the backfield, only 25.
Smedsthejet Icon : (20 February 2015 - 04:06 PM) Think Vereen would be a great option...I thought he was one of their best and most valuable performers during the playoffs and we need a back who can contribute in the passing game as well. Jets have been missing that piece since LT retired

Wayne Hunter is one of the most well known right tackles in all of the NFL. His struggles in New York became fodder for the media and fans to rip him. Hunter was traded to the Rams in exchange for right tackle Jason Smith.

"I'm so happy for a fresh new start," Hunter told Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "I think it's what I needed. I think it's what we both needed, from what I heard."

Hunter was referring to Jason Smith, whom the Rams sent to New York in exchange for Hunter in an Aug. 28 trade of benched right tackles.

"It'll be interesting," Hunter said. "So I wish him the best, and I'm going to make the best of this opportunity over here. It's going to be fun."

Hunter was just glad to get out of New York, where his play received the type of fan and media scrutiny normally reserved for the head coach and quarterback. Asked to put into words what it was like playing in New York, Hunter replied: "No, I can't. No words describe it. If you can handle the 'Concrete Jungle,' you can handle anywhere. I've been through it all."

Things reached a boiling point during the Jets' Aug. 26 preseason game at MetLife Stadium against Carolina. After Hunter allowed a fourth-quarter sack, fans behind the Jets' bench let him have it with boos and verbal abuse. Hunter lost his temper and had to be restrained by his teammates.

"They're like sharks," Hunter said. "If they don't like you, they let you know right off the bat. And even if you're doing good, they might just not like you for the heck of it. It's brutal over there. Those fans, they know what they want, and they pretty much demand it. So if you don't give it to them, they'll let you know."

fuck you wayne. excuse fans for getting mad at someone who was getting paid millions of dollars and not doing his job, for getting our QB killed every play, for being the worst starting o-lineman in the entire NFL.

Yeah, for a change we're happy too. Now get Bradford killed. Don't forget the Gravol- will help with all the motion sickness you are going to be experiencing getting spun around.

Amen. The audacity of people who help to pay your salary to expect accountability.

For a player that is talked about how great of a guy he is, this sure didn't show it. You are paid millions, of course fans are going to bash you when you are a huge liability to the team.

Was he implying that he was able to handle playing in New York? The only handling I saw was him being manhandled by defensive lineman and linebackers on a regular basis.
