I'm not sure why you'd say something like that. I enjoyed the win very much and I hope you did too.

This thread is for 2 people, 115 and 05. I'm not sure if you know the history, but basically Jetsman05 pretends to be a big time college football guru who claims that because he watches a ton of football on tv, he has some keen insight on how a college player he gets to see a handful of times a year will translate into the NFL. Now, I can admit, we ALL do that... BUT very few of us do it with a perfect blend of arrogance and douchebaggery that is 05's style signature. Not only does he pretend to know more about football than most, but he pretends to be able to predict the arch of a player's development (which he obviously can't). The snobbery with which he dismisses the opinions of others, even though we have the same television perch as he does, is unique in it's assholishness.

Now that you know the backstory, fast forward to early April when 115 first got behind the wheel of the Stephen Hill bandwagon. Let me back up again, not only did he get behind the wheel, but he built that muthasucka from the ground up. I mean that shit was just a pile of wooden planks and some torn pieces of canvas and 115 just rolled up his sleeves and took that shit to it's full bandwagon glory. This took weeks, and 05 was poopooing him every step of the way. Not a conversation would go by without 05 pointing out how wrong it was to think that Hill would be successful right away. But 115, god bless his heart, he would not be stopped.

Then draft day came. By this point, 115's man crush on Hill was engraved in our collective minds. When the Jets actually traded up and grabbed him (I was watching at a friends house due to moving and being without cable) I actually gasped and laughed. When my friend, who didn't know a shit crumb about Hill because he's a Giants fan, asked me why I was laughing, I replied "There's a guy on the Jets message board I'm on that just nutted all over himself". Naturally, as 115 was gloating for months after the draft, 05 was his usual self. He just couldn't see the fact that maybe he might be wrong about Hill. He had to douse every single flame of enthusiasm with his vaginal juice.

Then preseason happened... and Hill dropped some passes. Out came the soap box. 05, decked out in his father's tuxedo poked his bird chest out past it's perceived physical limitations and held court. He was right about Hill. The guy had no chance. He had stone hands, a low football IQ and we should've drafted a myriad of WRs over him. 115, drowned out by the noises of the gullible mob stood off to the side and with quiet confidence said, "it's just preseason". Again, he was dismissed as a crazy coot who fell in love with a highlight reel and who couldn't match football wits with the all-seeing and all-knowing Jetsman05, master of the college football package and patron saint of ESPNU. 115 patiently waited his chance.

That chance came today. With one game, Hill destroyed any lingering memory of Braylon Edwards. He silenced the two or three mange-eaten minds that wanted to bring back Plaxico Burress. More importantly, Hill showed that in a very short time, he acclamaited to the NFL sufficiently to be that homerun threat our offense needs. He did everything right today, and he's only going to get better. Everything that 115 preached came to fruition.

So really, this topic is a kudos to 115 who went out on a limb, and was rewarded for his fanhood. Kudos to you, 115. Job well done!

You had it coming. You've been the most negative poster on this board. Every single move the Jets made, you dug up and posted doom and gloom articles on. The lockerroom issues. Hiring Sparano. Drafting Coples, drafting Hill. Not resigning this one and signing that one. When the Tebow thing happened you damn near sold the site and declared allegiance to the Toronto Argonauts or whatever the f*** they're called. The whole summer it's been nothing but one pissy article after another. The no scoring preseason was your armageddon. Just a few days ago, you predicted the firing of Rex and Tanny. You constantly rag on every member of this team, especially Sanchez who has had his ups and downs but this franchise has not done him any favors at all. Everyone knew it. The defense played back, and the offense went into clock killing mode. What did you do when you showed up? You immediately started shitting on Greene. You didn't relish the victory, you didn't say "Holy shit how did this happen?! Thank god I spent the last few months talking out of my ass!". No, you picked up on the one negative thing and started drilling for the nerve. It never occurred to you that Green has been running into an 8-man front for 2Qs straight. You didn't stop to think that instead of pulling OGs and using misdirection the Jets basically started preparing for Pittsburgh and called runs up the gut, into the teeth of the "most talented DL in the NFL". None of that mattered. It was all about shitting on Greene.

You're the worst kind of fan. You'd rather the team lose and be right than abandon your perch and be happy. When I called you out, you said something about my mother and then said you wanted to see some "consistency". Well f*** you. f*** what you want to see. You don't deserve it. You've been as bad as every damn writer that wrote off this team in May. You want consistency? You'll get it. Eventually someone will get hurt, someone will make a bad play and someone will make a bad call. And then you'll be right. That's all you want.
